I've searched high and low for a location of deleted items but have been unsuccessful. I'm just trying to recover a video I accidentally deleted (a "home movie" I made with the phone itself). Anyone know how to recover a deleted file or at least know where to find them?

I like to know whether any API is there OR any method to recover deleted files.
I'm trying to recover deleted photos from my android phone so I downloaded the Remo Recover for Android software. Problem is when I plug in my phone, open the usb mass storage, and click Recover Deleted Files, it says, "Android device not connected! A Cable might be unplugged!" My computer is recognizing the device, but for some reason it's still saying this but I know it doesn't have anything to do with the cable.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI purchased an unlocked and unbranded Samsung Galaxy S i9000 from Amazon.
After playing around with it for some time, installing all sorts and getting to know how to use it I decided I would perform a factory reset to "clean" it before continuing to use it "properly".
Before performing the factory reset I navigated to "My Files", selected delete, then selected every single folder and file and deleted them.
I then performed the factory reset.
Now I am missing 4 images which were available as wallpaper in "gallery" and probably several other files/folders.
I thought the factory reset would return the phone to its original state and reproduce any folders/files I may have deleted in the process. I thought they might be stored in a hidden "partition" or similar which I had no access to.
Anyway my questions are how can I restore my phone to its original state and which other files/folders would have been present initially but have now been deleted by me?

I've run Hexamob Recovery PRO from Android Market in my smartphone and it recovered very good some deleted files from my vfat storage folders (both internal and external sd card).
But the smartphone version is not running correctly in my Motorola Xoom because it don't detect internal storage (fuse). I asked to developers about a tablet version and they said me they are working in a tablet version but fuse file system is very hard to manage. The file still exists intact in the original directory but I cant find any option in the Eclipse ide that seems to be for restoring it. I thought it might be 'Import' but manifest isnt one of the types on offer. Can anyone suggest how I can get the file into the package?

I went into recovery and moved the VV.apk and other file to an app.disabled directory on my phone, the issue is that the icon is still in the apps section? Any reason you guys could think of as to why? Actually now that I click on it it for some reason takes me to MMS messages and the icon is just called voicemail. Can I get rid of that icon as I use google voice?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am unable to publish my Android app on Google Play because the APK file has apparently been deleted from my console. I uploaded all of the screenshots and other things required for publication. I uploaded the APK file first. I now have no way to upload a replacement APK file and cannot upload a later version either. When I click the "publish" button I get an error message saying that the app will be available to zero devices because the APK file is not present. I suppose I can change the name of the APK file and upload it as a new app but I can't think of a better name than the one I picked already.
I did try to upgrade my original APK file with a newer version before publishing my original APK file. I wasn't allowed to do this and this might have caused the deletion but I don't know.
OK the system folder was deleted on the Impression 10. It boots but gets hung on the "Impression" logo. I hook it up to the computer, the computer recognzes it but I cannot access the files on both the SD Card nor the internal memory. Android Commander and ADB cannot access it. I have the stock system image file from leader, I also backed-up my system folder. how I can push the files from the computer to the tablet or is it too far gone?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI sent a snapchat on accident without saving it, and it was one I meant to save. I really want to find it, but I can't seem to figure out how to open the nomedia file.
I plugged my phone into my computer and found all the snapchat files, and I read that you can just delete .NOMEDIA from the name and it turns it to a JPEG and opens it. The one I want to open is:
h1a81hurcs00h1380872338543.jpg.nomedia
Certainly enough, when I rename it without the nomedia, it recognizes it as a JPEG, but when I open it with windows photo viewer, it can't open it. It says the file may be damaged/corrupted/wrong file type.
2 days ago I tried to update my aunts sensation xl and told her that it is better to update its ROM from 2.3.5 to 4.0.3. So i created a google account in phone and added it in order to sync contacts....and after 2 hours, I thought that it has been synced...After upgrading device to ICS, and adding the previous account that i made before upgrading, I was waiting for contacts to restore, but nothing happend.. I opened the gmail account on PC and saw that there was no contacts. So the only way for me to restore the contacts is to find a way to restore them from Phone device. So,is there any software, either on phone or PC, to restore contacts from phone? or is there a way to have access to root folders and files of phone on PC to use a recovery program to restore "Contacts.db" file that was erased while flashing ICS?
