PAC-man ROM
Settings -> PAC-man -> Notification Drawer -> Tiles and layout
It allows me to add / remove tile. However, the quick settings remains unchanged.
Is there any way to fix this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I press the home key on the X10 I get the usual stuff like Time and 4 buttons at the bottom of the screen, but at the top of the screen I get facebook stuff from the Timescape. How do I remove it with just the Sony Ericsson logo.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading to ICS I seem to have lost the settings option (the 3 vertically aligned dots). Neither do I have the quick controls appearing. It is most noticeable in the browser since the ability to add bookmarks, reload a page, move to prev or next page etc//Other applications may also be suffering from this defect, but it hasn't bothered me (yet).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running a 4.3 aosp ROM and only flashed a very minimal gapps(only playstore loginframework play services and GMSCore ) . I can't access my quick setting tiles as the icon is missing from the notification pulldown and my lock screen doesn't work no matter what security I put. If I flash the full gapps they work. What dependencies am I missing?

I'm trying to set up a shortcut to open the JB quick settings window (the one you get by swiping the corner of the status bar, or swiping with two fingers, depending on your preference), and I can't seem to find a command for it anywhere. Not in Tasker, not in the Activities list, and no widget in the Play store that opens it with a tap. Oddly, I can use the Nova Launcher "Nova Actions" menu to create an "expand quick settings" button, but it can only sit on the home screen, while I want to add a button to my quick launch. If I could just create a widget or shortcut that toggles that button it'd work fine, but I can't find the functionality anywhere.
I'm running CM10.1.

Great app! You can set almost everything from this one app. Ringer, media, notifications volume. Screen brightness. Toggle WiFi and GPS, check battery strength, turn on LED or screen for flashlight. etc. Remove those butt-ugly toggles from your screen
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhilst browsing in here and on the web for ways to save battery life, I came across an app for turning on and off WiFi, backlight, bluetooth etc. It had a totally different layout to Quick Settings. The screen appeared to have about 12 square buttons, for quick on/off functionality of the usual stuff. WiFi, bluetooth etc. One of the buttons near the bottom right corner was 2G/3G. Does anyone know which app this may be, from my super description? I like the simple one screen does all layout, which was easy to understand. Can't remember if it was from a link in here, or from another site.

But the mobile data option doesn't seem to affect my mobile network toggle. I am guessing this app was meant for other androids. Is there any other app out there as good as this one dedicated to the sprint HTC Hero?

How can I do that? Do I need to edit LocalePicker.smali in Settings.apk smali folder?
Can anyone verify this? Myself and several other EVO owners have reported that they aren't showing up on both rooted and non-rooted phones. I downloaded both of them last week when I got my EVO, but I had to factory reset for root, and now I can't find them. Could someone test it out?

I believe the app Quick Settings added the [disabled] to the APN file when I attempted to use the Mobile Data Switch. See below. Now Quick Settings Says "No APN Configured". I've emailed the dev. If so, I will remove the [disabled] to restore the file to its original state. Everything seemed to be working fine despite the [disabled] setting though, but I didn't test MMS. Current (modified by Quick Settings?) APN File from my Verizon HTC Droid Incredible:

I used APN Backup & Restore to save the file to the SDCard so I could view and edit the file using a text editor (such as notepad) in windows. You can get APN Backup & Restore on the market for free.
I have a Galaxy S2, more specifically the T-Mobile T989 model, which is known in my country as the Galaxy S2 Plus. It has Android 4.1 Jelly Bean installed and I wonder if I can change the quick settings? I want to add a quick setting to activate/deactivate mobile data since it doesn't appear, but it does in other Galaxy phones with the same Android version.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi started with a stock N1 running unrooted froyo, then i unlocked the bootloader using the command "fastboot-windows oem unlock". i know that it is in fact unlocked because i see the open lock icon when the phone starts up now and i also see the **UNLOCKED** text in the bootloader menu. now I'm trying to use cyanogen's quick rooter (stock kernel) from here: Quick rooter for stock FroYo systems + 2.6.34 kernel - xda-developers. renamed it to update.zip (made sure it's not update.zip.zip), copied it to sdcard and I'm flashing it the same way i did the froyo update from the recovery menu but I'm getting an error saying signature verification failed. why would i still be getting this message after unlocking the bootloader?

I am still unable to change the setting.
I have started using Waze for my GPS navigation needs. The problem is, I had previously told my phone to use Google Maps Navigation (or simply "Navigation", the one with the blue arrow icon, instead of the other option at the time which was TeleNav GPS Navigator), but I can't seem to remove that default app setting.
I have gone to Settings->Applications->Manage Applications->All to look for the Navigation app and clear "Launch by Default" setting, but it does not appear in the list of apps at all.
Is this a thing about Google apps, that they are kept hidden and forever locked into being your default app once you tell it so? I thought maybe it was part of the regular Google Maps app, but the setting there says there are no defaults set to be cleared.
There's any app/widget that allows to display a live tile of images from gallery (or any other path) like the one found in launcher8?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently received a replacement EVO to replace one that got wet through the Best Buy insurance program thingy. Anyway it is a brand new EVO but it will not connect to 4G. My wife has an EVO as well and sitting side by side hers connects and mine will not. If you go to Wireless and Networks settings the setting titled 4G is grayed out and says turning on underneath but it never changes. You cannot tick the check box.The next setting is titled 4G settings and when you click it ALL the options are grayed out and none of the check boxes ca be ticked.Like I said I know we have 4G coverage as my wife's phone is getting it fine.Also if you go to About Phone in the settings and look at hardware information it lists 4G MAC address as unavailable. Any ideas or similar problems out there? Could I have turned something on or off that is stopping the 4G radio?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a problem with a shortcut i can't remove, due to it being located beneath the phone tab on the start screen.
The edge of the shortcut is barely visable under the phone tab, making it impossible for me to click and remove it.
I've tried factory reseting the phone, but the shortcut is still there
I've noticed that if I change the default screen time-out to, say, 1 minute, the 1 minute will stick for awhile but always eventually changes itself to 10 minutes.Does anyone have any idea why?
View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since 2.1 OTA I can't get my sync settings to stick.I want it to push items as they arrive. I check that box, but when I exit out, it goes back to manual. I've tried changing this in the email settings and in the main sync settings.This is driving me crazy- I keep missing my work emails!Also- I have never figured out how to get my vibrating notifications back after the OTA. If my ringer is on vibrate, the only notification I have that an item arrived is my LED.Finally- has anyone found the fix to the multiple notification email bug? I still get 3-4 notifications for one email when my ringer is on ring.
