On the iPhone you can use two fingers and it will scroll that separate window separately from the main window. How do you do this on the Captivate?
Motorola Droid :: Weird Ad On Notification Window For Text Messages
Sep 30, 2010My friends Droid with 2.2 displays a weird notification window whenever she gets text messages. When she gets a text, the notification window comes up with the message, the background picture is a nicely rendered white Android holding a phone up to his "ear". Across the top, it says something along the lines of "leslie2099 is 0.7 miles away. Chat Now!". I'm an HTC Hero user with Cyanogenmod 6, so I am reasonably familiar with Froyo, but I can't figure out what this is from. Any ideas?

Jun 17, 2010I have an app that puts the date in the status bar, but in order to make it look decent, I have to use two notifications. This causes it to use two expanded notifications when you pull down the status bar. Is there any way to get rid of one of the expanded views(or both of them)?

Sep 8, 2010Since I got the original 2.2 update for my Droid, whenever I get a new text message and slide down the notification bar and select the new message, it takes me to the main text message window rather than the actual thread to reply to the person. It is really annoying because it requires an extra step. I figured it would be fixed with the second 2.2 update but it didn't. I called Verizon and they called Motorola and nobody knew of the problem so they shipped me out a new phone and it still does it! I am not sure if I am the only one experiencing this or if its normal. It doesn't do it 100% of the time but closer to 90% probably.

The versions on the home screen are tiny and I can't get them to expand, I'm not sure if I'm overlooking a setting or something.
I did a google search and turned up nothing but I keep seeing images of people having expanded dashclock looking widgets on their homescreen so it must be possible. :/
I hid the clock hoping that'd force them underneath it and expanded but nada.
General :: Text Based Battery Percent In Status Bar
Mar 14, 2012The thread listed here is pretty old and it does not apply to my Epic Tough running 2.3.6. I am trying to accomplish the same thing but can not seem to locate any proper info on how to do it. I am still new to reading code and messing with .smali files and xml's but I have no problem learning.
I have tried the lockscreen mods but they all seem to give me Hot Reboots since most of the framework and jar files seem to have errors in them. I can deal with out the lockscreen mod but I truly like the text based battery and CM is not a choice for me at this moment until they get it stable.

Oct 14, 2010I'm using handcent and when sending pictures the recipient would not receive them. On my end it says pending and pictures never reach its destination. I have done this with WiFi turned off. Sending text is no problem but pictures is. Is there a bug in the handcent app? Just wondering because its getting frustrating. I have pictures from last night that never reached my wife and still says pending on the status.
