Sep 10, 2010I've been looking for an agenda tool/widget for my Android phone. I've narrowed it down to these two (PLEASE don't post suggesting other alternatives!! And note that I don't mean the Pure Grid version!). I've been searching for half an hour, but I can not find anything that compares these 2 apps or shows any diffs between them. The best I've seen is comments like " beats hands down", with no explanation as to WHY.As far as I can see, for my purposes (using Google Calendar & Astrid), the only difference between the 2 is the PRICE! Both come in numerous widget sizes, both integrate with Astrid & Google, both are scrollable, both are skinnable. So why choose one over the other? (Or, really, why choose Pure Calendar over Android Agenda, given that the latter is free?) I wish I could just test both out but the Pure widget series has no demos

May 3, 2010I started using Pure Calendar today and love it.here is a "Select Update Frequency" setting that can change from 6 hours to "When Calendar is Modified."I left mine on 6 hours to begin with, but I have noticed that when I modify my Exchange or my Google Calendar (on my phone OR on my computer), the Pure Calendar widget updates almost instantly.Anybody know why? Is it a bug in the Widget? Or is it supposed to update the Widget instantly despite being set to 6 hours?

Sep 8, 2010I finally got the Calendar to load everything into the Pure Calendar Widget, but the widget is supposed to also include all of my tasks from my Got To Do - but none of my tasks are in the widget?
I selected Got To Do in the Task section of the widget setup, included all tasks with and without folders...
Any ideas why I can't see any of my tasks in the widget? (and I already checked, based on the timetable and when things are due some of the tasks should be there now)

Aug 25, 2010I need to get pure UTC time in application level. It should not be changed by user or location or anything else. When I try with System.currentTimeMillis() or getTime() of Date class, they always return value of local time. If user change date or time, the return value is also changed. I found handleEndOfInit method in android_modem.c (externalqemu elephony) and the method is like below. Probably, the variable "utc" is what I want.
1. Is the android_modem.c for emulator?? 2. If it is, I think there must be similar file for target. Where is it? 3. How can I get the "utc" value in my application?................

Jan 27, 2010I'm new to the forums. I just got my Droid in the mail today. I bought the Pure Calendar Grid widget, however I'm having problems figuring it out. Every time I click on a date it brings up the settings. Is there not a way to make it pop up with the details from that day?

Apr 16, 2010I am entering mobile development. I have been working primarily in .NET since 1.0 came out in beta. Before that, I was mostly a C++ and Delphi guy and still dabble in C++ from time to time. I do web apps quite a bit so I am reasonably proficient with Javascript, JQuery and CSS. I have also done a few Java applications. I started web programming with CGI and live mostly in the ASP.NET MVC world these days.
I am trying to decide on which platform/OS and tool to select. I am concerned with the size of the market available for my applications as well as the marketibility of the skills I will pick up.
The apps I have in mind would work on both phones and pads. Some aspects of what I have in mind will play better on the bigger screens that will be available on pads.
Here are the options I am considering:
Apple iPhone/iPad using pure Apple SDK (Objective-C)
Apple iPhone/iPad using Mono Touch (C#)
Android using pure Android SDK (Java)
Multiple platforms using something like Titanium to generate native apps from web technologies (HTML, CSS and Javascript)
Multiple platforms using HTML5 web applications that run in the browser (HTML, CSS and Javascript).

Jul 31, 2010So this morning I successfully rooted, and upgraded to 2.2.
EXTREMELY happy with the speed, and general changes with my Desire now.
However.........
I used to use Pure Calendar, and Pure Grid Calendar pre root, but now they can't see my Google Calendars. Or any calendars for that matter.
The wierd thing is the STOCK Calendar, can, and is syncing just fine with my Google Calendars.

Just curious he has an idears or anyone here has come up with anything.AppBrain was able to add it to my list online, but when I sync'd on my phone and selected it, all it does is launch the Market app with a search term for that app, so it doesn't show up.This kinda makes me think that 2.1 #2 is not final.

Sep 9, 2013I have a Chinese clone of Galaxy S4 called No.1 S6 with MTK6589 Cpu and Android 4.2.1 (Odexed Rom), well, I tried to replace some system app like contacts, phone and mms with the same apps taken from the Slim bean 4.2.2 Rom for the Google Nexus 4 that has the same screen resolution.
I odexed the slim bean apks with dexopt-wrapper as explained here [URL] ...., I signed them with auto-sign software, so I put them into system/app folder with right permissions, deleting old apks first, rebooted the phone, wiped cache in recovery and when the phone booted the apk I replaced was gone, so I think there's a compatibility problem between my system apps and nexus 4 ported apps, maybe I have to take the slim bean (or other ROMS, whatever) sources and edit the apks and make them compatible with my phone...
