I want to change the images of various icons in the launcher.Is it possible?
Presently for reference i am reading Home application in android samples but I am unable to understand how to make changes in the code to add different icon images ?
Can someone suggest something?

I have a few folders that I have created on my home screens to consolidate some apps (i.e. navagation apps, shopping apps, music apps, tools, etc). I'm wanting to know if its possible to change the folder icon to something else WITHOUT using a home replacement, I'm not ready to give up sence yet.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI got this second messaging icon that appears in the top left when I get a text. Its relentless and can only be cleared by dropping down the notification window and clicking on 'clear'. It looks like a small envelope but not very good graphically. I originally thought it was default app notification but its not. I'm rooted and have a custom rom installed. Someone please tell me how to stop it, I can't take it anymore.

From what I've found this should be possible again, but I can't seem to get it to play nice with me. Is it possible now (without too much monkeying around)? While I'm thinking of it: are the brower's bookmarks saved as a webpage? That might make things more convenient.

I already tried going into Settings > Applications > Manage Applications, but I can't seem to find the Messaging app.. Help? Also noticed on some but not all of the text messages I get, the CB# appears on each one. Now I saw the setting in messaging that you can disable that, but I think that is for my text messaging going out to the other person correct? I downloaded Handcent SMS. Which I LOVE btw. It makes messaging so much better. However, I want to either change the Icon, or the Text below it. It's smaller and stick out like a sore thumb. And shit the icon down, it's a bit too "high" in comparison to my other icons.

Today I accidentally removed one of the short keys from the home screen and I'm not able to get it back to it's place. To be more exact, it is the messaging short key which is located on the bottom bar of the screen. The other ones (Phone, Contacts & Applications) are still the, but when I'm trying to return the messaging icon back to the bottom bar, I always end up with the trash can over the area where I'm supposed to place the icon.What can I do, How do I get the icon back on the home screen?

Is there a way to change the color of the battery icon? I know you can change the fonts, status bar, clock color, etc. It would be pretty cool to have a variety of colors to change to instead of the blue, green, etc.
