I thought evernote could do it but i can't seem to find the option. Looking for something that can take a picture and then format it to a text file, maybe even take a pic of a business card and save it as text as well.

What is the resolution for the LG Eve? I thought it was the screen resolution but it's more of a widescreen type picture. Does anyone know what the resolution is?

On the Moto droid the pic would show on the message and if i clicked on it it would stay open. Is tue a way to change this or what?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have the droid incredible and sometimes when I use the internet app and try to select a field to type in, the keyboard won't come up. No matter what tapping pattern I do the only option that comes up is a copy, zoom, search menu, as if i can't enter text in that field. For example, When i tried to access the google forum i was able to type in my question but when I had to give the detailed part I couldn't type anything.
I had to resort to the Opera Mini browser but without the same zoom mechanism.
I'm using the default texting app, and every once in a while, I can't type in the text box because it is grayed out. Any one else ever have anything happen like this? I've taken the battery out, and it still does this. My phone is the htc incredible and I'm on 2.2.

This made it so easy to reply to text messages without my boss knowing, or while being lazy in bed.Any type of app like this for Android? I want to use my Android over 3G for emails and calendar sync. Everything else through WiFi because I am constantly connected to WiFi through my campus/home/work. Only need email on the go.
Is there a program that can control what type of data other apps use?
For instance:
Email: 3G (WiFi Preferred)
Calendar Sync: 3G (WiFi Preferred)
Contact Sync: 3G (WiFi Preferred)
Browser: WiFi Only
YouTube: Wifi Only
Or along these lines.

1. User can just turn off the phone. How did the developer prevent user from turning-off the device?
2. If the user CAN turn off the device, how did the developer schedule the 'math' activity to start next time the device is turned on?
I've had my Desire for a couple of months now, love it, and very little I can complain about (except the occassional SD card problem!) However, I went to text today, and in the "To" field, I started typing, attempting the special "just press the number, and we'll guess the corresponding letter" approach, which I've used throughout my time with the phone. However, it didn't work: instead, it's just offering me T9 or normal ABC - it's not doing the clever guessing thing. For example, if I wanted to text my mum, stored as "mum" in my phone book, I'd usually type "686", however, now, that's simply coming up with "mtm". I don't think I switched any option, but if I inadvertently did, I can't find where to undo it.

What I want to do is allow the user to take a picture (no problem), translate that picture to text(?) and then do some processing on the text (no problem). Is there any API on android that allows this? or is there any way to programtically communicate with google goggles? I would hate to have the user use goggles then select the saved file with my app.....

The only way that I have been able to get it to work is by restarting the phone. Is there another way to fix this?

View 5 Replies View RelatedIt seems to REALLY "hang up" sometimes. Like I try touching to type in text, and it will take FOREVER sometimes to pull up the virtual keyboard. And multiple touches at times. Other than that, it's force closing my apps a LOT. iMusic, Messaging, Facebook... all force close regular. Tried removing apps, no change.

text 'Short text' should be located on with align right, but about 10% from the top of the screen
text 'x.x.x.x' should be aligned to the center of the screen (right/bottom align of the 1st quater)
text 'Some long text ..' should be aligned to the top/left of the 3-rd quater of the screen, but it should cross the center_horizontal of the screen

I have had my evo for about a week now and have had no problems up until now. You know when you want to add a app to the homescreen and hold down until it says add app, add folder, etc. Well wen i press add app it doesn't do anything and sometimes it selects one of the other options. It has been working fine until today, so i am wondering what the problem is.
Ps. I am posting from my evo and just noticed i cannot type the letter d in landscape mode.
I have MIUI v5 installed on Tipo. Apps like Sidebar, NinjaSMS, JuiceDefender do not work, start. Ninja sms app starts, but sms does not produce popup. Sidebar when opened via configuration menu, works, but as soon as I exit the configuration, it ends as well. Same for juice defender. It simple does not work. Other applications work very well...
I suspect something to do with the permission manager or setting.
When you text you have the option to have a picture next to each persons name, how do you get a picture in the text that says "me". i can get my friends photos in by cant set one for myself?

the picture is from a phone i wished i never bought, i loaded 3D chainfire onto it and now it wont boot. i managed to boot into the recovery menu but its in Chinese i think...
as im going to get a copy of the rom from a friend that also got one of these on a business trip and hopefully get it working.the phone is rooted, but stuck at the samsung logo.big lesson learnt, im going to renew my contract in two months and get a proper one...
I read that I have to hold down on the image until the menu bar pops up. The problem is that when I do that, I doesn't pop up at all!! So is there no way to save it then? I have the first DROID and the pictures were sent to me from a DROID Bionic. Would that have any negative effect seeing as it's newer than my phone? I used to be able to save images when it was sent from an earlier model like mine but now I am having issues.
