Android :: Financial App That Will Sync With Microsoft Money
Dec 12, 2009I'm looking for a financial app that will sync with microsoft money. Something like Ultrasoft Money. I used that on my windows mobile phone and it synced flawlessly and effortlessly. I know there are other financial programs out there that will allow you to keep a checkbook on your phone, but I don't want the checkbook solely on the phone, I want it on the desktop too and microsoft money is already there and works great. Some of these other apps out there will sync with ms money if you download the file in this format to your sd card, hold your tongue to the top of your mouth, move the file to the computer via USB, move your tongue 90 degrees to the north, change the file format and then import it from within money. well, you get the idea. I don't want to have to do all that.

I want to create an app first of all for android, it'll be opensource. Than to port in on nokia and other Java enabeld devices. Are there any tutorialsmatereals on how to do such thing? May be not on android on something else like Nokia? (BTW I want to transfer money to some banc account on PayPal visa or anething or to my own sim card at least...)

Oct 19, 2010I was just looking at my Verizon Plan, and though I don't have it currently as an option that I'm paying for, it costs $20 a month to use the 3G Hotspot feature? I thought this was just something the phone did through your unlimited data plan. if the 3G Mobile Hotspot app does indeed require this $20 a month charge, and whether there's any other app or way to get the same functionality without paying.

However, right under that text it says *This service may result in additional charges from your wireless provider. It's Yahoo Finance Stocks which comes with the phone. Also if I go into settings/wireless controls/mobile network settings/ data roaming (connect to data services when roaming) and check that does it cost extra money to use 3G when the phone is roaming? Oct 30, 2009I currently have a personal (HTC Touch Pro) and business phone (iPhone). With Sprint now offering unlimited any-mobile (freeing up 1300+ minutes a month on my family plan) and Google Voice allowing me to get a separate business number, I'm thinking about dropping my iPhone, and replacing the HTC with either a BlackBerry Tour or a Hero. I work in project management; I know that the BB does have applications that would be useful to me (as does the iPhone), but I can't find comparable apps for Android. As a personal phone though, I would rather have the Hero. Given that I've only been able to spend a limited amount of time browsing the Android Market in a Sprint store, I was hoping someone here might know of some good replacements for my "must have" apps.
1) PIM / Task management. I have a lot of tasks, meetings, and deadlines to manage. I need something similar to the functionality provided by Outlook. I currently use Pocket Informant on the iPhone, which allows me to view multiple calandars, see my schedule from the month-level view, and integrate my to-do lists. I can also assign calander events and to-do tasks to projects, give them priority, provide extra notes, add multiple reminders, etc.. I could probably live with the Android's calander, but I definately need a good to-do app.
2) Time tracking. I have an app on the iPhone (TimeLogger) that lets me track how much time I spend on projects for clients. The one I currently use allows me to start a timer and then come back later to stop it, which is helpful but not a must.
3) Personal finance manager. I track all of my purchases, have several accounts / cards, and need to be able to track/filter business vs personal purchases.
Android :: Implementing Sync Adapter / Sync Icon Wont Disappear
Oct 18, 2010I'm implementing my own sync adapter and everything works great. A strange i'm having is that after the sync is over, the Android still shows the sync icon (the one with the rounded arrow) in the account activity, and that someone (i guess its the account manager) repeatedly calls the sync again and again, every 30 to 60 seconds. Now i tried all sort of things to test this issue and i have discovered something strange. In my code, i do resolver.applyBatch every 50 new rows. (each new contact i sync has about 5 rows). If i remove the applyBatch (which means i retrieve the data from the next, sort it and prepare it, but never "commit" it) - the problem goes away. The icon disappear and the account manager never calls it again on its own (I'm using Android 2.1). I must also state that no exception is being thrown in any of the cases and that all the methods finish gracefully.

However, most of the screenshots are a mix of two frames:The separating line is in different positions.This leads me to the conclusion that the screenshot is being made while the current frame is still being drawn.Is there a way to get the screencap in sync with the hardware?Are there other methods of making screenshots where this doesn't happen?

General :: Contact Sync Is Off But It Wants To Sync?
Feb 27, 2014New to android and I have the following issue.
1. I added a google account. Without asking it synced everything.
2. I turned off all sync except gmail.
3. But when I add a new contact it still warns me that it will sync it with my google account!
4. I tapped ok. Now by default the google account is on the top of the screen where I add contacts - obviously it syncs it.
Also, when I now go to settings > account > google account I can't seem to turn on/off settings. Eg if I touch an item that is turned on it starts to sync it instead of switching it on.
Obviously I could remove the google account altogether but I would prefer to keep it just for gmail sync. How to do this?

The first sync of contacts, calander etc was oke.
But since a couple of days i cannot sync my contact with Sony Ericsson, i Tried to connect but always the same : sync failed .
Checked the internet connection and al seems working properly, gmail sync oke, all oke except the sync with Sony Ericcson.Any a idea how to resolve the problem .
Perhaps a setting but seems strange because nothing as changed since the first time.
