I always forget to grab my phone from my pants pocket at night and plug it in. Is there an app or method or combination to get a reminder every night at 11 pm that will keep beeping if my phone isn't plugged in?

I got Missed Reminder which does what I need but it's keeping my Sprint Hero awake (80-90% up time when running, 10-20% when not). Has anyone else had this problem? View 1 Replies View RelatedThis has been an issue that's been bugging me the last few days now. The stock wall charger that came with my Droid X is the 5PN5504A, which has an output rating of 5.1V, 850mA. My understanding is that the mini-USB interface is an industry standard for power delivery to portable devices, which I take to mean that any charge source should work (wall charger, desktop PC, laptop) as long it has uses an USB interface. So any USB-->miniUSB cable can be used to charge any mini-usb device, regardless of power source, right?
I already have several other mini-usb devices, such as bluetooth headsets, which all came with their own wall chargers. However, I checked these chargers, and they all have different outputs: 5V @ 200mA, 5V @ 150mA, 5V @ 550mA. Because the default Droid X cable was so short, I was tempted to use these other chargers. I plugged in the 5V@150mA charger to my Droid X, and found that the phone does not show it's charging (the lighting bolt isn't there, there's no animation on the battery indicator). So then I switched to the 5V@550mA charger, and it DOES charge....................
I just bought my first Droid phone. The notice that came in the package said to charge the phone before turning it on. There's a little yellow/orangish light that came on but nothing saying where it's at in the charging process. Will the light change color once it's fully charged? Am I okay to turn it on now?

This may sound like common sense, but there's more to it... Some iPhone users have noticed that the charge from their phone when charged from the mains lasts longer than the charge from the PC via USB. Some sites claim that phone batteries can be 'overcharged' by charging from the mains, and that USB charging doesn't do this. I havn't had my phone long enough to test the 'overcharging' theory, but I was wondering if anyone had any information about these different methods of charging.

#2- Are you putting it on the charger when the warning pops up that your battery is almost dead?
#3- Are you putting it on the charger when ever you get a chance to give it a charge.
How long are you letting it charge for?
#1- Are you letting it charge to 100% with the (check mark) before you remove it?
#2- Are you letting it charge all the way through the night? (so like for 6-8 hours while your sleeping)
#3- Are you pulling it off before 100% and if so do you do that every once in a while or all the time.
This is my first smart phone so I am trying to figure out how everyone else does it. I have had the phone for 2 days now and have already downloaded the new OTA update. So with me being on it pretty hard core I am getting about 15 hours of battery life. I think that is really good. But I let the phone die all the way and shut itself off before I put it on the charger and I pull it off right when it says 100%. Is that bad? Should I not let it die every time and should I let it charge longer even though it says 100%?
Just got the EVO last Friday. It replaces a Samsung Moment that died a horrible death.
When I charge it with the cable that came with it, it charges fine. But if I charge it with the Moments cable, it doesn't charge. The battery icon is animated as if it's charging and Spare Parts reports that it's charging, but the battery level continues to fall as if it's not plugged in.
When using the wifi thethering for some reason my Hero will not charge. On the phone it says it is charging but the battery never reaches full capacity. It just stays where it was at before I plugged it in. I am using Fresh 2.0 btw

View 19 Replies View RelatedI am running 3g even though i am in 4g area. I turn my wifi off even though i have wireless at my house. I have the cdma auto thing on. Yet i am still only getting 5 hours max off charge with my phone. What gives? I do have GPS enabled on all the time but that should not matter. I love my phone no matter what, but this battery shit is pissing me off. My HTC touch can go 2 days with no charge and still be able to make a phone call. HTC EVO not even 5 hours before it dies.
View 18 Replies View RelatedMy phone is almost unusable when its on the charger. my lock screen doesn't like to unlock, my keyboard goes completely nuts. doesn't matter if its the house charger or the car charger or connected to the computer, it gets really unresponsive. it really pisses me off. i have done at least 3 hard resets in the past 3 weeks and it doesn't help. im starting to think it may be launcher pro or something. anyone else have a problem like this while charging?

View 18 Replies View RelatedI haven't seen this issue reported anywhere else so here it goes. I just updated my phone to froyo last night and had no apparent issues. When I woke up I noticed that despite charging the phone overnight the battery was dead. I was able to start the phone up with the charger plugged in. This is when I found out that the battery won't receive a charge. I have tried using the standard plug as well as plugging the usb cable into the computer; no dice. The lightning bolt on the top right of the screen is there, but the green slice on the battery that constantly recycles is stuck. I tried a master reset on the phone and that didn't work either. Anyone else encounter this issue? Any ideas how to fix it? I bought my phone at Best Buy, and of course they are all sold out in the area, so it will be a major pain getting a replacement (I'm within the 30 day window).

Should I live with the hassle until 2.2 is rooted, or return the phone for a replacement and risk that they will force an update to stock 2.2? View 2 Replies View RelatedBought one of those 1A car chargers from Ebay that have been much talked about on the forums. Very happy with it, until today. Tootling along with sat nav on, and Google girl robotically jibberjabbering at me, when I noticed the phone had stopped charging. Charge was about 60% so it wasn't full. Looked at the charger socket and the charging light had gone out then looked at phone and it no longer had the charging indicator on the battery.
I unplugged the charger from the phone and lo and behold the light on the socket charger came back on indicating it was ready to charge. So I plugged it back into the phone and the light went out again! Seems as if sometimes the phone wont let itself be charged? I don't the thing the charger is at fault as it has been working fine, and looks ok when I disconnect the phone from it.
I've searched the forums and cant find an answer or reason, but my phone wont charge either through the wall charger or through my computer.I plug it in and it says plug in your charger, and the light wont turn on. My computer says that the phone is unrecognized. This all came about yesterday when I flashed BB V.3.Froyo. I was running chevys 1.2Ghz kernel with every other rom and have had no issues. I tried a recovery, and switching kernels, and even pulling the battery but nothing has seemed to fix the issue.
