View 1 RepliesWhen a reminder comes up and I'm not present at phone, the reminder music come over and over again like every 5 minutes. This is really annoying.
Also, if I drive a car I cannot start fumbling around with the phone and the phone alerts me all the way.
I cannot turn off the alert sound, since I use it at work. And I cannot choose silent at profiles as I need to hear if the phone is ringing.
Is there a way to get a calendar reminder only once?
I'm new here, hope I can post this here Does anyone know if you can set a specific time for the reminder for a specific event, i.e 9:12am, I couldn't find the feature and it really annoys me as in my 8 year old nokia I could set a specific time for the reminder to go off at for the calendar event. In the desire you can only set 5,10min..1,2,3,12,24hrs.. etc, but I need the reminder to go off i.e. 4 hours before the scheduled event or at 9:12. Any app suggestions? I've got the phone for like a day so maybe the feature is there but don't think so.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMostly loving my Desire, but there are a number of minor annoyances. A major one is that if you miss a call or text, you get the notification icon and the flashing led, but other phones have had an audible reminder every few minutes that you had missed something.
View 10 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know if I need a special app to be reminded of calls/texts that I've missed? I've had this feature on Motorola phones and on Samsung.
Ideally, if I miss a call and/or text, I would like to be reminded every n minutes either by vibrate or by ringtone (whichever's activated) until I acknowledge the missed call/text.
I don't know how people live without this. I've had a Nkia for 18 months and I got tired of having to look at the screen of the phone every time I finished taking a walk(could never feel vibrates while walking) taking a shower (they're not waterproof yet), etc.
Does anyone know of a way to increase the message/calendar reminder volume whilst decreasing the ringer volume? The ringer currently deafens me, but if I turn it down I can't hear the calendar reminder or message notification. Also, is it just me or is the rocker switch for the volume control too easily accessible? I seem to turn it up, down, sideways (!) while trying to do other things on the Desire. I have looked in the settings for calendar, but can't find a volume setting that isn't connected to the ringtone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI want recurring sound notifications when I miss calls or texts because the LED alone isn't enough. I got Missed Reminder which does what I need but it's keeping my Sprint Hero awake (80-90% up time when running, 10-20% when not). Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way I can prevent this or is there another app I can use?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been looking high and low for a reminder application for my needs. This is what i'm looking for.ones that I see only sound off once, and if you if your away from your phone or could not hear the nofication, it only warns you once. Too bad if you didn't get it. Or at least play for 15 seconds and then warn again every 2, 3, or 5 mins till the users CONFIRM that they received the message.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have tried a couple but non of them have done just what I am looking for. What I want is an app where I can enter something for a certain day and I get a notification that day so I can just touch the notification after it is completed. Kind of like a task list but in the notification bar and I can set tasks that need to be done on a certain day.

View 7 Replies View RelatedNot sure if this can be done without an additional app. But does anyone know if there is a way to set a daily reminder? I appreciate any assistance. Ideally I can just set it and forget it and not have to set it every day.

It is a very useful application. For example, I always forget to take vitamins in time. And I think a lot of you faced with this problem. This app reminds you to take vitamins and pills in time. In my opinion its an excellent idea!
Blister has extremely easy-to-use interface. Comfortable and logical location of buttons and other elements of control enables to enter information about a course in simple way. It doesnt need to press great number of different buttons nervously. There is no unnecessary thing. All you need are: name and number of pills, days and time for taking it. In my opinion, its worth to add field for notes such as take this pill during a meal, take a lot of water with it, etc.
In whole Blister impresses me favorable. Yes, there are some bugs, but they are miserable, and I hope developers to correct them. So, Id installed Blister on my phone and Im glad!
Ive got this phone almost how i want it. it reminds me every 2 minutes (vib. or ring) for a missed text and a missed call. but i got no reminders if ive got a voicemail (other than flashing LED's that are no help when the phone is in my pocket). ive looked for apps with no luck.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm creating an Android app where in the user can set the daily reminder, and at the designated time, the phone's alarm goes off and an activity is launched.
App uses the latest version of the SDK and the emulator. How do I get started with this?
Ive been using the GoSMS scheduled SMS - and sending texts to myself to act as a reminder with the pop-up notifications.
Works pretty well, but it is a bit of a hassle going through the process of setting up the scheduled text.
I recently discovered COL Reminder, which does do exactly as i want - but the UI isn't as stylish as i would like.
Any.DO is pretty good too, using the task list and having pop-up reminders when set.
Any other reminder apps which have pop-up notifications (rather than just the status bar icon notification)?
Is there a PC desktop application that can sync with Android calendar, tasks, and reminders?
I know on Windows Mobile I can use Outlook for this.
But I don't know how is this on Android.
I am a WinMo user and seriously thinking to jump move to Android because HTC Desire will be released soon
I'm new to the forum and have a question that's been driving me crazy! I'm looking for an app like ZenMinder (for blackberry) or Notifyme2 (for iphone) where you can set a custom sound for each individual reminder. For example, if I had reminders to
"take my pills"
"pay light bill"
"pick up milk"
I could make it so that each individual reminder played a different sound. That way I wouldn't have to look at the phone to see what the reminder is but would be cued by the specific sound. I used to use Zenminder on my Blackberry and I loved it because you could custom sounds for each reminder. Is there an app like this for android users?
Is there an independent app, or a configuration for the Facebook app, that gives a notification when someone's birthday is near or on? I have a Facebook account with a bunch contacts, but I rarely log onto Facebook, whether by computer or phone. That said, Facebook is the only place that consolidates all of the birthdays that I would otherwise not know. I know Facebook has an app that allows you to get birthday reminders within Facebook. But, is there a way to get the same reminder short of having to log on and browse my home page?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am new to android and coming from a pre like many of you.I was wondering if there is way with android to display movie times and dates in your calendar we were able to using synergy with the pre. When I would use flixster or fandango and look at upcoming movies, there was a feature where I can select "add to calendar" and voila! that movie scheduled date would show up in my calendar. It was pretty sweet and set as a reminder for me to know when that scheduled movie date and time were.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter updating basebands and flashing several ROMs I had noticed degradation in both reception and battery life. Since I was OC'd I chalked up my poorer battery life as a side effect to my love for speed. The new basebands were probably necessary for Froyo compatibility, but since my knowledge is limited in that area, I can't be sure. Either way, my reception suffered. During one of the times my signal dropped, I decided to look into my network settings and noticed under Mobile Network Settings/System select, that my phone was set to Automatic instead of Home only. After selecting Home only, my reception improved as well as my battery life. The better battery life I attribute to the phone not looking for a signal as often and am so much happier now that I've found this. Just thought I post my experience and see if anyone else has had similar results.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust purchased a slightly used Eris and I'm liking it so far. I've been reading this forum and learned a ton of valuable info. I think the biggest annoyance for me right now is the lack of a repeating reminder when calls/texts are received. I've seen a few threads regarding this. I have downloaded Missed Call For Android 2.x and also turned on the LED(trackball) flashing notification. Both work initially, but only for about 5-10 minutes and then they will stop flashing. It seems like the Missed Call flashing LED stops working before the trackball stops.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMissed Call - LED notification for missed calls. Thanks to Android_Goes for his efforts however I (or at least my wife) wants thye same facility as she had on her previous phone which is a regular beep to remind her of a miss SMS or call. The flashing light is not so useful in a handbag or pocket. She travels on her job and regularly appointments are cancelled by SMS or by a call. She doesn't have nor wants hands free so she sometimes misses the calls. Is anyone able to point me at an app which beeps after a missed SMS and call?
