So the large calendar widget that I placed on my home screen used to show dark little tabs in the corner of everyday that I had an event. While I was looking through it, all of the little tabs disappeared and I have no idea what days I have events unless I go into the actual calendar app. Is there any way to keep them there permanently?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with my emails in the native Eris email app deleting after a few days. I have tried every setting that I can think of to get this to stop but no luck. The Gmail app does not delte the messages like the nmative app does. I have the native app set up with my work email and I need to keep messages around until I delete them. Just to stress have no problems with Gmail deleting just the native app which I have set up exclusively to my work email.

I've tried a battery pull a couple times, no luck.Under MENU>ACCOUNTS>MENU>SETTINGS>MANAGAE ACCTS, all looks fine, there's no errors. When I tap the SYNC NOW button, nothing. I guess the next step is to remove and re-add the account. I understand that'll wipe any data on the phone, such as pics and texts. A couple questions:
1. What else will I lose besides pics and texts?
2. Is there any way to back that stuff up/move it to the SD card?
3. Is there another fix to this syncing issue out there that won't wipe the phone?
I'm using the stock HTC calendar application that comes on the Eris to sync with both my personal Google calendar and my Exchange calendar at work. I'm generally happy with the result except it only syncs about 2 weeks worth of events into the future. I would like to be able to see maybe 3 or so months worth of events on the Eris. I have plowed around in the settings and cannot locate anything that lets me choose how much of my Google & Exchange calendars to sync.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been looking for a solution to an unusual problem, my work schedule repeats every 35 days.
When I used a windows device with outlook I could program in my rotation and make each day recur every 35 days. I could then look at my calendar and see on any given day of the year if I was off, or working nights, or days. The Google/Android calendar only offers recurring appointments up to 30 days, and won't sync with my version of outlook.
Does anyone know if the 12/11 update will include a sync option for all Outlook? Anyone know of a calendar app that will allow appointments to recur 35 days later? Is it possible to trick the Google calendar (or Yahoo, or Excite) to repeat at 35 days?
I need a new calender or I need help figuring out whats wrong with my htc calender. Everytime I go to the page with my calender on it, all the days with events go blank and I have to scroll down to the next month and back up for them to appear.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI guess I'm one of the few that had glitches w/ the update. First the galery link on the front page didn't update and I kept getting "this application is not installed" error. I couldn't drag it over to the red waste basket...it kept changing back to gray and the faulty icon stayed on the main desktop. That evening while on hold to Verizon I "force fed" it by holding it over the waste basket longer, then added the new gallery app from the slider screen.
Also noted that the gold button on the r side no longer worked for the camera, it brings up a quick messaging screen instead. They determined the ONLY way to fix this is to reset the phone back to factory issue. Is there another way around this? Or if I have to, what's the best way to back up everything and keep track of the installed apps? I really don't want to reset the phone.
Is there any way in the DroidX, running Froyo/2.2, to set the number of days back to sync / retain messages on an exchange email account? I could swear that I had set this in 2.1, but either the setting is gone now, or I can't seem to find it. Can anyone point me to that setting?

If I am trying to schedule something more than a week out and want to be able to see all events day by day I have to click on a day then click out and then click on the next day. This is whether I look on the phone or on the developer console.Unfortunately the comments that Google has chosen to 'lose' are my most favourable comments leaving several "This app suxss" type comments by the usual Neanderthals who like to be abusive. I have checked with a helpful user who left a positive comment and they have not removed them themselves or de-installed so what is going on? It is seriously hurting my downloads/sales and the impression that potential users of my app see when they look on the market. I have emailed Google but no reply yet.

Kids, while they are at school, wish to have the phone in silent mode. All other time, would like to have the ringer on. Is it possible to program the ringer mode with days and time? Is it a challenge to Android or the device manufacturers or for Google? Anyway, my kids will be the first users, if it is available.

View 8 Replies View RelatedNo, this is not a thread to bash the battery for the EVO. In fact if you do some research, you will notice that i have praised the EVO's battery in the past. Recently, however, my battery died on me on my trip to florida, and a sprint store in Daytona ordered me a new one. It is not the red EVO battery i have come to know, but a mere black one with the words 'HTC Innovations', and has the appearance of it looking used (some crud on it, which i still have not removed).
So my question is do batteries have good and bad days? I have not changed any settings on my phone, and i use to get a day out of it before it reaching 20%. Now im lucky to get 6 hours. Did i get a refurbished battery?
What is the easiest way to get FB birthdays to sync onto my calendar. I've seen a few things online, but seeing that we have HTC sense, there must be an easier way. I mean...all the birthdays are in the people app.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAs of yesterday im getting like .3mb down and literally 9kb up. this is after running both extreme labs and speedtest.nets apps from the market. I have full root(both steps from toast). Ive flashed a few rooms(BB, fresh, etc) but now i am back to the stock rom with root (Supersonic_1.32.651.6_ rooted) and i am still getting the same speeds.PRL updates have been done. I even did a full data restore(##3282#->data*->data restore). Nothing is working Im pulling the battery for a while to see if that helps.

Note: But it is working fine but it supports maximum 10 days(appx) repeating only after that "(durationInDays * 24 * 3600 * 1000)" it goes into -ve value so, I am unable to set maximum 60 days alarm repeatedly. AlarmManager class only supports a long value for choosing the interval between the execution of the pending intent.
Is there any other option to set repeat alarm for the no of days ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWith the new version, every 2-3 days my Swype keyboard stops working. I can type normally (pushing individual letters), but swyping doesn't work.
If I re-install, it will work again, but only for a few days. I always install after killing tasks/widgets like it says, but hasn't helped the longer-term problem.
Don't know why, but every time I try to sync I get this message, but only for my contacts. Email and calendar are fine.
Anybody else experience this? Anyone know of a reason why this is happening?
