View 2 Replies View RelatedI did a search but cant seem to find an answer. I finally got my work email set up through active sync. Is there a way to get the calendar events to show up on my google calendar? I use calendar pro which I love. I don't know if there is a work around or I am just not knowledgable enough to understand it. A for instance would be that my work email gives me an event or invite...it will show up on the phones calendar but not on my google calendar/events. (my google notification each morning may say "no events scheduled for the day" but phone calendar/calendar pro will show it)

While I was looking through it, all of the little tabs disappeared and I have no idea what days I have events unless I go into the actual calendar app. Is there any way to keep them there permanently?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm just getting up to speed in Android, and today in a project meeting someone said that Android has no native calendar app so users just use whatever calendar app they like.
Is this true, and if so how do I programmatically add an event to the user's calendar? Is there a common API they all share?
I have 6 different calendars for different categories. They all show up with their own color. I can't figure out how to change the event calendar. Like add a work event and then add a vacation event. I can add an event in any category (calendar) but can't switch it.also, I would like to make the default alarm to be off when adding event (lowest I can find is 5 minutes for default)
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm currently writing a class to access the android calendar, retrieving and inserting new events does already work but I'm having trouble to update existing events. With the the methods I already have I could check the ID of the calendar I want to work with, which is 5. I also could find out the ID of an event in that calendar which is 87. I'm trying to update that event with this code (well actually it is a bit different but I've shorten it a bit so it's not so much code to read for you)
View 7 Replies View RelatedIf we add a repeat event in the calendar, we are unable to get the end day till when the event shall last. There is field "duration" in the events table in the database which gives us an encoded format string like "P300S" for repititive events. We are unable to decode as to what this string will mean. Can any body help us with this Query?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy wife and I both have Android phones (EVO and Samsung Transform) and have the Google Calendars shared. All of the sudden, her calendar is completely empty and can't see mine anymore. But on mine, I still see all of her events and see it listed as one of my Calendars both in Google Calendars and on my phone.Everything looks perfect on my end but everything is back to square one on hers.Any ideas how to restore her calendar or what may have caused it.I am afraid that just starting hers over is going to start duplicating events in mine.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had my Android phone set up at the store to synchronize with Facebook. The trouble is, any even anyone in my Facebook list enters shows up on my phone calendar. My phone is cluttered with other people's events in which I have no interest, to the extent that my ability to see what is on my calendar is impaired. This is true both with the native app and CalendarPad which I downloaded specifically to get around this, and also for events I have declined.Anyone know of a way to keep Facebook events off my Android calendars?
View 3 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to view events from more than one gmail calendar?Unfortunately, the Android Google apps (both gmail and calendar) DO NOT allow more than one account. What is up with that?? iPhone, Palm, and Blackberry all do this natively.Anyhow, I thought I was being clever by sharing my calendar between my personal gmail and my corporate gmail accounts. As a result, I can now see my work events on my personal calendar while in the browser. BUT.... from my Android, the shared events DO NOT appear! Why? Why? I downloaded a few other calendar apps from the Market but they all rely on the built in calendar... so none of them do any better. Is there a solution to this problem or is this another inherent Google fault?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to write an app that relies on Calendar events. I was going to write it as a service, and just have it check the calendar from time to time, but I found out that the SDK does not offer direct access to the Calendar yet. So is there any other way to access Events? Maybe a broadcast when an event starts and stops?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the calendar app on my Droid set to sync with my google calendar. There are events in my Droid's calendar that were deleted from the google calendar a long time ago. If I visit the google calendar website, I can confirm that these events are not in the google calendar, yet they still appear on my Droid. I have tried deleting and re_adding the calendar under the calendar app's settings as well as using the "manage applications" area to clear all the data associated with the calendar. The calendar the appears empty, but after the next sync, those events come back (even though they do not show up on the online google calendar). What can I do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes the calendar application in Android maintain a cache of its database?
Whenever I edit and mark some events via the calendar app, it is stored in the database but if I edit the calendar.db from some outside source the changes made are not reflected in the calendar app. So my question is:
Does the calendar app maintain a cache or some other form of database? If yes then where and how?

Does anybody else have this problem? My Calendar widget that comes with Android (Calendar) has been synched with my google calendar, but it only shows events for tomorrow, and even sends notifications for those events a full day early.
Example:
Today is Feb 11th. I have an event today (we'll call it A) and an event tomorrow (we'll call it B)
The calendar widget has a blue bar across the top that says "Thu 11" This is correct! Below that it has a white field that says
"Feb 12
Event B"
If I click on the widget it takes me to today's page in the calendar application, the 11th which shows me today's event.
How can I get my calendar widget on the front page to show me what is happening TODAY and give me notifications for it TODAY?
