Firstly, I can set the alarm ringtone as I like but now can't. I forgot the method. I put the many ringtones to my SD card but it's only in the ringtones. I can't find the Alarm Ringtones whcih have a SE default ringtones. So, how can I set the songs?

Basically I use my phone as an alarm to get up for work. My old Nokia N96 I could set the alarm and then switch the phone off at night and the alarm would still go off on time. This does not seem to be the case with the X10i. It doesn't even go off when the phones in airplane mode which is poor. I just don't want to have to leave my phone on overnight in case it rings and i wake up.
Are there any good alarm apps that allows you to turn the phone off and the alarm would still ring at 6.30 for work?
Not sure if anyone has had this issue, but for some reason my ring tone will automatically deselected leaving my phone to only vibrate when a call comes in. It seems to happen "randomly" and I generally find out the hard way when I've missed a call. Has anyone run into this problem, and any possible remedies?

Instead of the normal ringtone I have set up and has been working normally since I started using the phone, I now get a horrible quick-beeping notification tone whenever I receive a call/text. have tried going into Settings>Sound&Display and re-selecting the appropriate ringtones and notifications but this makes no difference. I still get the fast beeping as my alert tone. When I check what tone is selected, my current tones are still set.Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it? I'm at my wits end what to do and would appreciate your expertise and suggestions.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I noticed that the ringtone volume is really really low and the headset earpiece volume is really low too. Its so low that I am thinking that i may have a faulty unit. The ringtone on max is about half as loud as a iphone and the earpiece volume is about half of any other phone that i have owned.
Has any other owners experienced the same?
It's just that all my other Sony phones, the alarm worked (and calendar reminder) when the phone was switched off, to wake me up ect. Is there a way to activate this so that it will work, or does the phone have to be switched on to use this facility?

Have tried setting the alarm for Mon - Fri, everyday or weekend but whatever I do the alarm does not go off. I have checked the basic things - time setting, alarm tune, alarm time setting, ticked the relevant box (have tried every day or mon- fri) and no matter what I do the alarm will not go off so thus is very unreliable. Is there a fix for this or is there an app that I can download that will provide me with a fully functioning alarm that works as and when I want it to. Has this happened to you at all? I am currently running 1.6 but from some of the horror stories I read I am to upgrade to a higher version - if in fact I can do it or trust myself to not lose patience when the whole thing goes pear shaped.

The only thing that alerts me to a call or message is the vibrate. Music not playing at all. Need help so I can wake up for work in the morning as I need the alarm!

I have a cool sound set for message notification (something like "Message arrives"). However, in the setting, there are only Phone Ringtone(for incoming calls) and Notification Ringtone(for both message and alarm notification. Therefor, when I do something like plug-in my phone to PC, the message ringtone is played, which is quite annoying. My question is that is there any way to set the separate sounds for message and alarm notifications? (maybe an app)
View 6 Replies View RelatedI got an X2 with the latest firmware (R3AA035). One of the most annoying bugs is that the alarm clock does not work always. If an alarm clock does not work sometimes, it is utterly useless. I have now used it to wake up in the morning. But in about one of 5 mornings it fails. There is just no alarm/sound.
I also have the impression that the automatic download of e-mails does not work always (at least not always in the night). I have set it to connect to the e-mail server every 2 hours. But there is hardly any notification in the night. The messages often come in right after I used the telephone in the morning.
So I assume that there is a general "wake up" problem with the device. I also tried to correlate this problems to other known bugs, but the above problems also occur when the device is nearly fully loaded, i do not have any observable problems with the SD card and there is no known issue with the network.
How to solve this problem? Or alternatively a date for a software update?
is possible to import a sound on my memory card so that i can use it as the Alert tone for when i receive a text message. Am i stuck with the ones that are preloaded on the phone (they are pants!) or do i have to go on the web and buy one speciffically for the X10? .......

I tried few applications, in which i can go to the contact (Edit) & select a ringtone & assign it but the problem is iam having around 1000+ songs & all songs were listed thr. So not able to search my ringtone immediately its taking so much time to search manually. If iam seeing the ringtone from my sd card folder & able to select the ringtone & assign it to a contact it would be better. Is it possible in any of ur known applications?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just purchased my X10 no more than a day ago and find that when talking to someone the ear piece volume is not very loud. I have set the volume setting to max and its still very faint and hard to hear.
I also find the Ring Tone Volume is not very loud, even after setting it to max. I have confirmed the Firmware is the latest version, just as a process of elimination.
Has anyone else experienced this? Or could be that I have a faulty handset?
Does anyone have a solution for this , it just Vibrates with incoming calls even though the ringtone volume is at its highest?
The speaker works , if I play music or Games through it , but incoming calls are just Silent?

so im blasted pissed i lost all my pictures, and my setting for my ringtones. I didn't do nothing i just woke up and they were gone. I haven't done the update so i idk wt* happened
At first i thought it was my Sd card but it isn't because i didn't loose my apps. Now i know there's no way to recover my pictures, but i want to know if there is a way to get the phone to work recognize the folder i have so i can use my custom ringtones, alarms and notifications again.I tried the SDcard/audio/ringtones and etc because that's what i had last time and now it isn't work
If you set an alarm and later kill the app for some reason alarm symbol that appears in the top right corner stays active but the alarm will not ring. Caught me out this morning as I thought alarm was set.

There is no volume function in the alarm menu; I also tried to lower or switch off the other volumes, but the alarm volume remains the same...
Does anyone know how to change the alarm volume? It would make me wake up happy.
