I just started using Google Calendar and Task list. How do I get my Tasks to show up on my Moto Droid? I can see it on the top of my Calendar on my PC but I don't see it anywhere on my Droid?

I love how my phone syncs with Google Calendar, but how do I view and use/sync my Tasks list (to do List) from Google Calendar, do I need an app for that?

Is there one that is similar to jorte but syncs tasks with Google calendar?
Is there an app that you can list your tasks onto a home screen. i have not everything and color note but i wanted something that would have the lists right on the home screen where i can see and add to and delete.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I realized last night that if you make a group in Contacts, that group is created on the Phone Contact List, not in your Google Contacts, and those contacts are then copied to the Phone Contact list. Thus, you can add all the contacts you want to the Phone Contact list, which has the side effect of being able to use the Verizon backup app to make a backup of your contacts.Kind of pointless, but might be useful to people who want to change their default Google account for whatever reason and get some crucial contacts back after a hard reset using Verizon's MyBackup.

I can also add an application widget to the home page and select Google Sky in its settings as the app to launch. Why doesn't it show up in the list of applications (The icon-based list you get when pressing the triangle-in-a-circle icon from the home page)?

As in myphone explorer i can see the tasks and they should be on phone as well ?

So most of us are happy with our Droids, but we all have at least one item that we just wish Google would fix. Lucky for us, Google has a site dedicated to tracking bugs, issues, and feature requests!
So in addition posting questions here, go to Google's issues site and let them know directly! All you need to do is click the link and click the little white star icon. Issues with more stars will theoretically get more attention, so let's let Google know what we want.

I've had my DroidX for a few weeks now and a few days ago upgraded to Froyo. The phone is pretty much stock from Verizon, so no rooting and Froyo was from OTA update.
My question though is with running tasks. When I first got the phone it was commonly suggested on the forms to get a task application to kill unwanted tasks, but now I'm reading the contrary where people are saying to stay away from these types of applications. Why? I had Advanced Task-Killer installed which seemed to work, but I'm still unsure why so many applications are showing as running even though I haven't started them. For example the BBC News app is almost always running even though I've turned off all the auto-notification stuff. Skype is another one that seems to be running as a task even though I haven't launched it since restarting the phone.
Question 1 -- is there a good way to kill tasks that are running behind the scenes?
Question 2 -- is there anyway to view these start-up applications in Froyo and tell it not to run them?
Question 3 -- do such apps drain battery life or performance?
I have not found an installed app that does Notes or Tasks. I am coming from a Blackberry running Outlook 2007 on a Microsoft Exchange Server and I have lots of both Tasks and Notes and I need to be able to sync. There some in the apps store, but none that sync to Outlook, just ones that sync to GMail.
Terrible choice on Google's part. Even the iTouch and iPhone sync to Outlook. If I can't solve this I will have return my Droid and go back to my BlackBerry.
Is there a setting to sync tasks in the gmail calendar? i dont see it and dont know how to accomplish this. The calendar syncs fine but the tasks?

I'm using Launcher Pro and suspect that's the problem. But what I need is to be able to one-touch dial a dozen or so contacts. (What a concept!) Is there a workaround or some other widget or app that can get me quick access to "speed dial"?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI figured I'd give everyone a heads up in regards to the Motorola Contact Quick Tasks Widget not working with Launcher Pro. You can use any of the stock Motorola widgets with Launcher Pro but they can not be re-sized. The only one that does not work is the Contact Quick Tasks, it will appear on the screen but when you try adding the type of task (text, phone) you get a message, saying that it needs to be re-sized, which you can not do with LP.

I am a full-time student and last semester i used gtasks to enter all of my assignments and then used purecalendar to check them off but i could not get them on outlook. i would like to be able to enter them in outlook and be able to check them off the same way in either place.

As of now, I see there is a google sync app, but unfortunately this doesn't work with the latest Office 2010 Public Beta. I have yet to hear of a time frame when support will be announced. So it looks like I am no solution running Outlook 2010 any syncing anything to my phone.

I switched to Launcher Pro and I'm loving it so far. However, one of my favorite Motorola widgets was Contact Quick Tasks. It doesn't work since Launcher Pro doesn't support sizable widgets.Are there any widgets similar to Contact Quick Tasks?

When I update a calendar item online using Google Calendar, it syncs to the Jorte calendar on my phone
When I update a calendar item on the phone using Jorte, it does NOT sync to my Google calendar online (I've even tried the export function)
My tasks won't sync at all between the two in either direction.
I just updated to Jorte 1.2.2, which is supposed to be able to synchronize tasks with Google tasks.
Google calendar sync still works fine. I have selected my google calendar account as the "Task account".
(I know this was successful because it warns me that task sync is manual for now.)
I go to Menu->Tasks & Memo
I select Menu->Synchronize
The progress bar pops up. It pauses briefly at 30% and 60% but then always gives the error: There was an error while synchronizing your tasks to Google Tasks. Please Try again Later.
I thought it might be because of pre-existing tasks having funky data, so I deleted all tasks on both google and on the phone, and then tried one task on google, and when that failed, one task on the phone. Always the same error.
With task sync, Jorte becomes the TOTAL solution for calendars and tasks on the Android! If only I could get it to work.
My phone is the Verizon HTC Eris running Android OS 2.1.
I had to have the hard drive on my laptop replaced but they were able to clone it before reinstalling, so I did not lose any data.
However, when I open up my Google account, all the tasks that were there seem to be gone. I still have all my Tasks on GTasks, and I have chosen "Synchronize" in Gtasks, but they are still not showing up in Google calendar.
Why this might be happening and how I can get my tasks back into Google?
My Google Calender is great being a calender but I have added Tasks and they do not show up on my pc desktop and phone on the Calender itself except on their actual Web. I see I can access them seperately by using an App called gtask but wondered if there is a way I can set it up so I can see my events and tasks all together on one calander. Hope this makes sense lol.

I have tried a number of them but they all seem to either add it to the calendar so I get 50 tasks everyday on my calendar or will only work with Gmail tasks. I find it hard to believe that no one has come up with an app that will sync all my tasks to a list on my phone. I live by the Outlook task list to keep me organized in my sales job. Having to do things twice (once in outlook and then in Astrid, for example, just is not practical.
