Feb 2, 2010How do I delete a single user from the favorite widget? I can delete the entire widget but not a single user.

May 20, 2010In 1.5, there was a htc widget that you can put on your home screen and add your favorite contacts to it, and it allows you to choose the action of calling or texting when you tap on their pictures.
I couldn't find this widget anywhere in 2.1. Also, is there any app/widget that is similar to the one im talking about from 1.5?

-Bonsi Blast - Greatt game to pass some time
-Advanced Task Killer - Works perfect for me, Ends Applications that are running in the background
-i Music - Best Music app - Allows you to download MP3 for free
-Shaazam - Displays song titles for the unknown - works awesome with i Music
-Sports Tap - has a great widget that allows you to just show your current fav team (i have bruins, shows live game score in widget and also sends alerts during game to your notifcation bar)

May 15, 2010I would have to say my favorite part of the new update is I am able to edit words in my user dictionary. I hated in 1.5 if you typed something in wrong you were out of luck. What is your favorite part?

And in those 3 months, there have been probably thousands more new apps out there for our phone.So, what are the favorites? And what are must-haves? This goes for games as well. Are there games that are still getting constant play on your phone?In my opinion, Handcent and Shapewriter seem to be my favorite and necessary ones. As for games, I keep playing Cestos.

May 29, 2010Installed 2.1, on Droid Eris, (twice), seems to be running great. Double my battery life. One problem:
I don't get the little favorite option. My favorites home screen works, but on the call>menu I have People and Call History, but no Favorites button? When the Verizon upgrade came up, the first time I did not use the option to clear data. Big mistake. Make sure you clear data when upgrading to 2.1.
General :: How To Send Email To Single User With Multiple Addresses
Feb 8, 2012I just got a Samsung Skyrocket on AT&T. It's running 2.3.5. I love the phone but have one question:
When sending an email, NOT Gmail, and I select the recipient from my contacts, it automatically picks up the default email address that was selected for that contact within the contact manager. Several of my contacts have more than one email address and I need to be able to choose which address to send to. The thing is, I see no option to do so when selecting the contact in the email message. The only way around this that I can see is to have separate contact entries for each email address. That would mean I could have four or more contact entries for each person. Totally not acceptable.
So, am I missing something here? Is there a way to select which email address you want to send to when creating a message? Or do I have to go in and change the default email address within the contact before I compose my emails?

HTC Droid Eris :: Change Default Action In Favorite Contacts?
Jan 2, 2010I'm using an Eris at the moment, and favorites that were populated by default shows a card and prompts me for the desired action. I realize that selecting the name below the icon allows me to choose different actions, but I have very poor accuracy in trying to tap on just the name, so for contacts that I've added that I'm forced to choose a default action, it's very difficult for me to choose an alternate action.
The instruction manual says to "press and hold" the contact to change the default action, but that selects the entire widget to move or discard.
Does anyone know how to change the default action to prompt me each time I open a specific favorite contact?
I've seen this question for the Hero too, but with no answers. Posted on the HTC forum, but that's looking rather un-promising.
HTC Droid Eris : Get Favorite Icon Back On Phone Screen?
May 16, 2010After the update when i hit the phone icon, the "favorites" icon used to be at the bottom right after the green call tab. now there is an icon for call history.
i cannot for the life of me get it back. verizon says it was lost after the upgrade. i put the "people" icon on my now when i need to call a friend who is on my "favorite" list, i hit that icon, it brings me to all contacts and at the bottom i then have to depress favorites which brings up groups, then hit favorites. like 4 steps to make a phone call?
anybody figure out how to get the favorite icon back on the phone screen?
Motorola Droid :: Unrooted Droid But Super User / ROM Manager Won't Delete
Sep 10, 2010I searched on how to completely remove both of these and one method was using Terminal Emulate. When i tried this method and typed in su to start the process it would say "permission denied". Do i have to reroot my phone again in order to get rid of these two apps? I'm doing this in order to take my phone to verizon. Do you guys think its necessary to make it perfectly clean of any "rooted" things? It is now unrooted it just has those two icons!! so frustrating. read somewhere else that if these icons are still there that i am still rooted...is this true? also I do not care if i lose everything... I just want my phone restored to factory settings so i can take it in to verizon..

May 14, 2010I set up HTC sync and Facebook and all that jazz. However, there are a few people in my Facebook Contacts list that I don't really want to have in my contacts list.
I don't dislike them to the point where I'd want to un-friend them on facebook, but I don't really want their number to be in my phone.
Does anybody know any way to delete a single facebook contact from your phone? Click and hold doesn't work, going to their "people" tab doesn't work, I can't figure it out...
HTC EVO 4G :: Delete A Single Entry In Call History
Aug 11, 2010Is there a way to delete a single entry in your call history without deleting the rest of your call history? I've been going through all the menus but I can't seem to find a way to delete just one number.
Also, I used to own a Palm Treo 650 (Palm OS). With it, you could literally hide single contacts by setting a contact privacy password. This setting was deep in the settings and upon finishing setting it up, you could password lock that menu as well, the title of it and all. So this way, if you hand your phone to a colleague for them to make a quick call, they can't go through your phonebook or recents to try to get your numbers.
I bring this up because a few years ago, this lady I worked with let another co-worker use her phone to make a call and the lady ended up copying a specific number from the woman's recent list without her knowledge. She took the number and harassed the person so much they had to get a restraining order on her. And it was later found out the only way she could have gotten the number is the time she let the woman use her phone.
Call me paranoid but the Treo offered that security feature and I haven't seen it since. Is there any way to do this on the EVO that I just may be missing?
Also, does anyone know of something like a "guest mode" app on the marketplace where the guest can only use what you allow them to and not have access to recents or phonebook, like, just the core function, like sms/mms, net, phone, or calc, etc.
