I know on the task bar it will display this, but sometimes I will pull down that and then do something else and not download the updates and then when I go back to the task bar and pull it down that update listing is gone. May 13, 2010If you already know how to do this, I apologize. I just thought I'd let people know there's an app that actually successfully erases the market history! I found it last night when I was trying to find a way to delete my "Frequent Calls" list (Worst thing ever!). It's called HistoryEraser. It successfully erased my entire Market History. It also resets frequent calls, google maps searches, call logs, and browser history. Enjoy.

Jun 13, 2010i just got my droid back from being flashed to cricket and i gave the man who did it the wrong password for my gmail account. so he made me a new one. it wont let me delete it says because it has something to do with apps. im trying to setup my other account so i can get all my paid apps back. i dont mind having the new account but would like my other one for the apps.it wants me to do a reset to erase all user data but ill loose flash files if i do. any ideas?

Jun 25, 2010Is there a way to remove specific entries in the default phone book on the Dinc? If you have multiple phone numbers entered for a contact, all of them appear as as option for sending a text message. I would like to remove the "send message" entry for all non-mobile numbers. I see that there is a default phone number option for each contact. Is the same option to pick a default number for messaging? If so, that would help the mobile number for sms stand out in the list. I have sent a few texts to home or work phone numbers accidentally and I am trying to idiot proof my contact lists.

Aug 6, 2010I wanted to see if my Skype name was in my contact card, so I clicked on the People icon, found my name in the list and clicked on it. I saw my home and work addresses were given twice, so I clicked Edit, and up popped six optional contacts to edit! Three were listed with my name; one of those had my Google contact photo. The other three were my individual email addresses. This has happened before. Why the multiple choices for a contact to edit when it's only one contact (me)? (I'm using an Eris with Android 2.1.)

Sep 13, 2010The biggest reason I wanted a data phone was so I could check facebook from work (blocked), or while out and about.
When I got the Incredible, I found out that all the Facebook apps do the stupid "Top News" only, and you can't change it to view all the recent new. The only way I could find to get around it was to click on "Full Site" at the bottom of the mobile site page, click on "Most Recent" when the page loaded, then often the link wouldn't actually work but if I hit "refresh" the page would reload with "Most Recent" selected and the most recent posts all listed out. A real pain, but possible.
But when I try the same thing on my Fascinate, I just get a big blank page with no status updates.
Is there any way to view the full, regular, "Most Recent" post list on the Fascinate?

1. What exactly is "freezing" an app? Will it remove the app from the app drawer? Will it just prevent it from running?
2. Can I use Titanium backup to delete apps that are safe for delete like amazon.mp3, etc?
3. If I "freeze" an app like backup assistant will it still be on the phone so that it doesn't brick if I do a reset?
4. Can I delete or freeze things like crap ringtones so they don't show up when I am setting a ringtone?

Apr 29, 2010I had an edited png for the market icon in the vending apk but when I applied my edited png's to Ivans rom with the market fix it seems to have changed the icon back to the original market Icon. When I first loaded the rom it showed my edited png for the market icon but after my first reboot it seems to change the icon back to the original. I assume that the market is updating upon reboot so I pulled the vending apk off my phone and my edited png's are still there but its still showing the original market icon. Anybody else with an edited market icon notice this or any ideas of why its going back to original? I have tried this a couple times and it always updates after first reboot...

Jul 14, 2010I've been rooted with Droid Mod forever and have never had any issues or never tried other roms it worked so I've stayed with it. Anyway I was screwing around trying to fix a problem and did a nandroid back up and and restore ( i'm clueless) Did not wipe info (that scares me) and I reflashed the rom a couple times because I kept selecting or deselecting the wrong things. Finally got everything perfect. The phone seemed to like the mini overhaul. But when I rebooted the market apk is gone. No where to be found. All my apps are there but no icon for market. Its just gone. Can I get that, download it desktop, mount, and drag to phone somewhere?
