everything worked fine, it's all of a sudden, how come that happens?
i know my api key is fine, coz one month Ive been using it perfectly.
how come all of a sudden it doesn't show me up the map activity, and posting that error in the logcat?

I guess it is a old issue, and I have googled the related message in the group, and I think I do not miss anything: 1. I made the MD5 fingerprint of the SDK debug dertificate by keytool, and I applied the maps api key, refer to //code.google.com/android/ toolbox/apis/mapkey.htm 2. I added the apikey into my layout xml; 3. I added <uses-library android:name="com.google.android.maps"/> into my manifest xml;
but I still met this error, btw ,I have set the http_proxy in setting table, and I can use browser to visit network. has somebody succeeded to get a map on emulator other than device? could you give me some tips about it?
After the update, the factory-installed Voicemail icon was showing that "Couldn't load widget" message. I removed and replace it without a problem. This morning, I got a voice message and now it doesn't show the new message count in the icon.
Not a big deal, but I guess that means they updated that app (current version is V.5.1.0.30). I was hoping they would at least improve the recording quality by providing options for raising the recording frequency so it doesn't sound so "tinny".
I use an LG Optimus L4 II (e445). I rooted it but then decided I had too much on it and decided to restore to factory settings. It all worked fine. However, when I got to the Google Account sign in page, it gave me the "couldn't establish a reliable connection to the server" error message. I followed every single tutorial I could find online as to how to solve this. None of them worked. Eventually, I re-rooted it (using VRoot) and managed to download an apk of ES file explorer and locate the hosts file. This had one line that shouldn't have been there:

From what I can make out, this is the address of google's sign in servers. So somehow (I suspect malware/dodgy rooting program?) my hosts file has been edited to stop me logging into google. Restoring the device does nothing, neither does unrooting/rerooting. When I open up the file in ES (when rooted) and edit out the bad lines, I can't save for some reason- I think the /system folder is write protected.
So I tried to make the /system folder writeable. I used the android sdk to do this (mount -o command) but this did not do anything. I downloaded the mount /system apk and installed that, it did not work either. I tried /pull and /push on the hosts file to edit it and send it back using the apk. I could successfully pull and edit it, but it would not let me push it back. I can effectively not use my phone- I can't use most apps and can't download any.
I want to connect to a server using ssl/https connection. During handshake between client and the server, I want to have server certificate authentication as well as client certificate authentication. The server certificate authentication is successful. But I don't know how to send client certificate to server for authentication, during the handshake.

When i press the debug logo, it installs on my device successfully, however i get this message constantly from the ADB Log (DDMS): "DeviceMonitor: Adb rejected connection to client '19322': closed" thus i cannot debug.
I have tried rebooting PC and rebooting device several times.I'm running Avast AntiTheft which has an option to prevent USB debugging, but that one is disabled.
I have a nasty problem with the adb and my Galaxy Nexus (CM10 nightly-20120926). The ADB seems not to work properly. Every time I start my app within Eclipse it gets installed on my Galaxy Nexus and the LogCat window show some output. So far so good. But suddenly ADB stops writing messages and the "Console" windows shows a lot of messages like:

From now on the ADB does not output messages any longer. I have to reconnect my Galaxy Nexus to my USB-Port to restart the debugging.
And some messages I generate by using "System.out.println();" are never displayed also!
My onCreate() method looks like

I'm trying to set up a VPN connection between a Linux Mint 10 PC (server) and a Nexus 7 (client).
All I'm getting so far is a "Connecting" status from the Nexus 7, followed after a few seconds by a "Disconnected" one.
As it is my first attempt at setting up a VPN (both on the server and client sides) I was wondering if there was a log file generated by Android on the Nexus that would give me a clue as to where I'm going wrong.

So, first, here's what happened. Did a factory reset of my phone. When it came back up and I went to activate it, no data connection, unable to make phone calls. After 2 hours on the phone with VZW tech support, I can make calls, but have no data connection. They are sending me a "new" one. The concensus of the VZW tech and myself, problem with my phone. 2 days later, my wife resets her phone because of memory usage issues (she had to much on it). Same exact thing happened to her. Being the fiesty woman that she is she is going to a VZW store today to raise holy hell and throughorly degrade the poor rep that she is going to talk to, to get some answers. My question to all my fine fellow Eris users, have you seen this before? If in our position, do we deserve a new phone, and not an eris? Will this happen with a replacement eris due to a fault in the 2.1 update?

Running Google Navigation, and couldn't get it to go landscape.Experimenting tonight, it seems it'll only go portrait with the power connector at the bottom, or landscape with the power connector on the right.Try the other way and it won't flip Means I've got to either move the mount on the windscreen or suffer the cable being diagonal across the dash.Not the end of the world I know, just seems like an oversight.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI tried to install Android 2.0 platform via Android SDK and AVD Manager. In "Available Packages" I chosen to install "SDK Platform Android 2.0, API 5, revision 1". The Manager started to download data. After download was fininshed I got message "SSL peer shut down incorrectly". In the header there was a message "Nothing was installed". Any idea what is wrong? As far as know my friend also failed to install Platform 2.0 and he had the same messages in the Manager.

Is this the same case here? Or is there a way to be able to delete mail from my droid?
I spent a wasted hour of my life on the phone to Three support trying to work out why I couldn't log in to my Three account page using my handset. They now think it is a problem with the handset (which I bought Simfree).
Basically I try and login; hit submit; get mostly blank white screen which at top says 'login successful click here to read the page you want' or somesuch. I do this, and it mostly takes me back to the login screen.
Originally it was autopopulating the fields with the original Sim number (before I ported my old number), so I cleared the cache, cookies, passwords etc. That didn't solve the problem.
The Three lady then fiddled with homepage settings. Which didn't solve the problem either.
I CAN login to my Three account via PC so suspect she is right about a problem on phone specifically. I have had a similar problem on one other website when trying to login on handset. But not on other password protected sites.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOkay so I updated to 2.1 a while back and everything has been awesome with the exception of handcent so I ditched that and got chomp. Well this morning sent out a text and just thought the person never replied then I noticed I didn't get a reply back from anyone else I texted either. Some of them called me after to ask me why I ignored their reply back. I just didn't get their messages. So I turned off my phone and turned it back on then sent a message to a friend and finally got a reply back. So from like 6am-4pm I couldn't get any texts. I don't know if this is a 2.1 problem or an inbox being full thing cuz I didn't get a message saying it was.

I went into the app and cleared cache/data and It works for a few minutes then back to normal. I've read through previous threads and have seen the same tips and tricks. Is anyone else having issues with their gmail? I'm not sure what else I can do besides re wiping (I don't think it has to do with the ROM I flashed so I'm not running to do this)

I downloaded it, thinking I could manually install it just like I did ver .3, but no one mentioned doing that, and given HTC's tweet I am assuming I shouldn't do this.. But am I right about that? Why couldn't we manually install the correct version from the zip just like .3?
I was removing stock apps from my /system/app folder, and deleted Launcher2.apk by mistake. The phone couldn't boot properly, so I managed to get the apk from the emulator and install it using adb booting the phone on recovery mode.
Now, my problem is, that Launcher only shows shorcuts to the apps from my /system/app folder. Every apk I put or install on /data/app doesn't apear on the apps view. So there is no way to launch any app unles I manualy move it to system.
I think launcher must read a config file to get the installed apps, and it's failing for some reason. What do you think?
Recently I uninstalled PowerAmp. However, when I tried to reinstall an upgraded version of it, I can't as the installer came out with the out of space error. However, the problem is that I have enough space in my phone. (Confirm have space one). I also tried installing different versions of the apk but it still doesn't work. Other bigger apps apk work fine except all the different version of PowerAmp.
