Please point me at the best call manager, whitelist, firewall app that will let me add a specific number and then send them to voicemail.

I come from the Samsung Moment where there was an option to send specific callers/contacts directly to voicemail without the phone ringing. I've been messing with my new Epic, but can not find this feature for the life of me. Surely it's there somewhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a firewall that allows setting rules for individual apps, for example allow an application to connect to [URL] and nothing else. The firewalls I've tested so far (like avast! Mobile Security) only allow the selected application to connect or not, but not filtering by url, domain, ip or such.
The only firewall I've heard of is WhisperMonitor, and is not public yet. Furthermore, it is supposed to require device encryption.
So I'm used to a blackberry and especially how easy it is to dial out on a blackberry. I just got an x10 and I'm very excited about what I've been able to do so far but dialing out takes 3-5 button presses and some searching for the names of the person I'm looking for.is there an app or other way to get a phone call off to a specific persons number. I'm hoping there may exist some way I can just start typing a name and click "call" like I would on the blackberry.

Are there any such apps which NEVER have a partial ring?
I'm not sure if this is real or not, but I think I've heard of some way to cloak your phone number and fake another number on a call or text.

As far as I can discover, this does not seem to exist on my fascinate. Is there something I might have done that would make this disappear? Probably it is possible for Froyo at least. I found application called Easy Call Forwarding. But many people reckon it dosen't work actually. We can notice forwarded call by onCallForwardingIndicatorChanged() from PhoneStateListener but I have no idea how to set forwarding mode.

My phone definitely didn't dial the number. On top of that, my phone didn't ring and the number isn't registered as a missed call. I can't see any reason why I would've gotten this voicemail.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI picked up a Nexus One last week from someone who got it from the TED Conference. Apparently Google also gave out a SIM card with a month of service on T-Mobile. When I go to Settings / Call settings / Voicemail settings and the number shows the number that was given at the TED Conference, which is the old SIM. I keep changing it to my phone number as I am using my SIM. It takes the changes but if I reboot the phone, it reverts back to the old number.

Am using the HTC Hero on 3 (UK) network - every now and again it decides to lose or update the voicemail number it dials when I press and hold the #1 key. View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a Nexus 4 and activated it with a Straighttalk (at&t) SIMS card. I have been using Straighttalk for a while now and simply moved my cell # to this phone. I love the Nexus 4 so far although while I did something pretty silly.... I was messing around with the voicemail settings I accidentally deleted the Voicemail Number that was on the phone.
Now whenever I try to call my phone a voice message comes up which says "Sorry the person you have called does not have voice box set up ect...." Mind you that I did have a voicemail box set-up before I deleted this voicemail number on the phone. I have tried to replace the "Voicemail #" with my own cell phone number but that does not work. Also I have tried just holding down the number 1 but that same message comes up. When I call *86 it says "message cannot be completed as dialed".....

I'd like to change it so when I speed dial 1 it goes to google voice. I called TM and they said I should be able to change that setting. I installed a new SIM, and I removed TM's visual voice mail. Out of ideas here. I'd at least like to know if it's like this on all Vibrants or just some Vibrants.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI wonder if there is any application which allows me to define a list of contacts that should not receive my phone number when they are called.
Or otherwise: a list of friends that may see my caller ID, everone else not.
The reason for this is easy: I use my android phone on work but I don't want all customers have my private number just because they receive a call from my mobile phone.
I tried adding *31# before a contacts phone number which actually works, it disables the caller ID for the next call, but incoming numbers don't match the deposited phone number in the phonebook so I can't see who's calling I just see a number.
Is there a solution to my problem? If there isn't an automatic way to do this, maybe there is a quick-switch application I can place on my phone: hit once to toggle caller ID on/off...
