Samsung Epic 4G :: Send Specific Callers / Contacts Straight To Voicemail?
Sep 28, 2010I come from the Samsung Moment where there was an option to send specific callers/contacts directly to voicemail without the phone ringing. I've been messing with my new Epic, but can not find this feature for the life of me. Surely it's there somewhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Nov 30, 2010"How to" I find said that if I select a contact, there should be a box to check for "send straight to voicemail". As far as I can discover, this does not seem to exist on my fascinate. Is there something I might have done that would make this disappear? Or is it something the fascinate doesn't have for some reason?

May 10, 2010For some reason, my Pone does not ring when there is incoming calls. I ported my number on Thursday and on Friday, I had rings with incoming calls. But since yesterday, I have not heard any rings. Calls are going straight to VM. I thought it was a Google Voice thing. GV is known to have this problem in the past.) Then, I disabled my cell number from GV and calls are directed to the Verizon VM. I have not changed any settings.

Jan 19, 2010I have an issue where occasionally a call will go straight to my voicemail without ringing or otherwise notifying until there suddenly appears a voicemail. And I don't think it even shows up as a missed call. Anyone else have this happen or know what the cause may be? My phone is set to ring & vibrate, and is usually just sitting there asleep. I'm not on another call or otherwise using it. But I can test call it right after and it's fine. Frustrating.

Jan 4, 2010I have used my Hero in 2 different countries and I get the same problem: Regardless of signal connection, I miss half (a guess) of all calls made to me. People tell me it finally dials after a few straight-to-voicemail tries. This didn't happen with any of my previous phones (Nokias and Motos), in both of the aforementioned countries. I really hope my rubber case has all to do with this because I bought the phone from eBay (i.e. no warranty).

Jul 27, 2010There have been numerous times when people have tried to phone me and it's gone straight to voicemail. I know when using GPRS you can't use voice and data at the same time but I can't figure out what's using the data stream. I only have the weather application which updates every 3 hours but even when it's not due an update this issue has occurred. Can anyone suggest how to figure out what's using data? The only fix I can think of is to turn off Internet while in a GPRS area assuming the problem is a clash of data / voice.

Sep 16, 2010when I first got my dinc. someone on here showed a awesome trick, by setting about a contact with the number as "Unavailable" you are able to set the contact to go directly to VM so you don't have to worry about those calls...Either VZW as changed something or it doesn't work on 2.2...how to make this work again?

May 28, 2010I just "upgraded" from a Motorola droid to the HTC Incredible. I run the IT dept for my company and I get a lot of solicitation calls. On the Moto Droid, I created a contact called Ftards, everytime I get a call from somebody I don't want to talk to I add them to that contact, worked brilliantly.
Did the same thing on the Incredible, but it doesn't seem to work. I did a hard reset and created one contact, it worked, then I synced my exchange, still working, but when I woke up this morning, I got a call from Ftards and it came right through. The setting still says "on" but it isn't sending to voicemail
Is there a way to get rid of the HTC app "People" and install the Motorola app "contacts" This is driving me a little crazy..
Oh, and on a related note, if I assign a ringtone to a specific contact, that doesn't work either, it just plays the default ringtone when they call.

May 7, 2010I recently purchased my new Desire and although I love it, i've noticed two annoying faults! 1. When i send text messages to some contacts, the phone decides to send them not as an sms but as an email or sometime even an mms! 2. My voicemail notifications are being received under one of my Facebook contacts instead of just plain Vodafone! Very weird as my contacts list isnt set to display Facebook contacts even though its an option! Is anyone else having the same problem and been able to fix this? Im sure its just the settings that need to be changed but ive had a play and just cant seem to stop it happening!
