I have the Galaxy S and I don't like the native music player (plus its decided to list music compilation albums separately by artist) I like double twist but find it a little slow.

View 11 Replies View Relatedduring music (mp3) playback, the application will close part-way through a track for no reason. It might happen on the first or the fourth track, but at some time during playback the music will stop and when I look at the phone there are no apps running. I've been listening to mp3's for a few days now and I've tried using both the standard Music Player and the doubleTwist player but I keep getting the same problem.
I've tried playing music from internal and external SD storages, and I don't have any other apps running at the same time. I wait a minute after the player stops before re-opening the player and playing the same track that stopped from the start and it plays through fine. I found a few posts that discussed music playback problems for the Galaxy S and other phones running 2.1, but they all seemed to relate to actual playback problems (i.e. brief silences or pops and hisses during playback) rather than the player itself stopping.
i like the samsung music player and bundled keyboard in galaxy S and Galaxy 3 very much..I have an HTC Legend..I want to install them on my HTC Legend..how can i do that?

View 30 Replies View RelatedI've just got my new Samsung Galaxy S I9000 phone which looks awesome. I had been using a Nokia N97 Mini which had behaved OK and I've been using Joikuspot as a WIFI tether which is important because of my need for the internet during the day. I was really please to find that the Galaxy has an inbuilt tether application in the Mobile AP however I cannot get it to work and wondered if any one else had any issues? The Mobile AP kicks in ok and I can find it on my laptop however when I try to connect it just tells me that it cannot connect and goes into trying to diagnose the problem. I tried to bypass this by inputting the wireless connection manually but when I do it tells me the security option is wrong but does this for every option in the list.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have some coding experience in Java that involves being aware of basic OOPS and Java concepts and developing some small Java applications(less than 1k lines of code). I have set up Android on my Linux system and have been able to run a "hello World" application. I want to develop a simple Android app in a month wherein users can compose music. What I want to do is this- A touch on the screen should produce/emit a sound/tone. Touching different parts of the screen should produce/emit sounds of different pitch levels/frequencies. Once this is done I want to improve the UI and add some basic features of playback, "clearing" currently selected tones on the screen. How do I start doing this? Also, given my limited experience with java, how should I divide the tasks so that I can finish this in a month?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI finally have hardware working the way I like it at home (stereo inputs), at the office and gym (bluetooth headphones), and in the car (aux input or bluetooth to head unit). Now I'm ready to pay for an ad free music streaming app. The problem is deciding which one to get. I've messed around with the free versions of Pandora, Slacker and TuneWiki as well as FlyCast for streaming FM stations. I'm not crazy about the latter two as I prefer to create a customized "station" that plays exactly the music I'm in the mood for. I've also used Grooveshark on the computer, but I have no idea how good the Android app is without a Lite version to test.
Pandora, Slacker and Grooveshark charge roughly $3/month for ad-free music. I'm curious to know what others think about the various services, or one I have not mentioned. I don't mind paying for a good app, but I can't justify paying for all of them when one should suffice. So what's your preference? A reason besides "It's the best" would be an added bonus.
when i did, a playlist that has taken me the last two weeks to make disappeared. as luck would have it though it reappeared today for some reason. i would like to make a copy of it to save on my pc in case it decides to disappear again, but i can't seem to find the file. i made the playlist using the "Music" app that came with the phone. it's about 250 songs out of the 4.5 gigs i put on sd card.

I found an app called droid shuffle, which sounded perfect but I can't get it to work on my Captivate. Basically I want to be able to press the mic button twice to advance to the next track. This and DRM are the only reasons I wish my droid was more iphoneish.

I did a search and all I can find are apps. to backup itunes files. Is there an app. that allows you to download and play itunes music (that I've already payed for)from my MAC to my Android? After listening I've plugged headset out and now while I call to somebody I see there is a call on the device screen, but either me, either person whom I am calling to, doesn't hear the other person. While I plug headset again I can hear everything (on the headset), after another plug out problem still exist.

While i am still learning the features and settings and there are a lot in comparison to the iPhone, i find myself stuck relative to the music organization on the S4. With the iPhone i was spoiled in having iTunes to neatly organize my music. iTunes offered a simple interface to organize my music and effeciently transfer my playlist to my iPhone. In addition, any songs downloaded on my iPhone were automatically uploaded to my iTunes in order to keep my playlist in order.
Having the S4,i struggle with this. Currently im using Doubletwist as recommended by a number of users on this forum which isnt the most efficient. In addition, i noticed when i download songs to my S4 it does not update my playlist on Doubletwist. Instead any time i need to connect my S4 to Doubletwist it updates my music based on the original playlist that was on my iTunes. Is there a standalone app/program for my PC and S4 that will allow me to organize my music? Not a interface that reads between iTunes and my S4. Does the Galaxy S4 or Android have such a program?
I have a Galaxy 8.9 and I have about 270 songs loaded on it. Is it possible to move them to Dropbox and still play them through a music player?

I've tried MortPlayer. Mortplayer really stutters and lags (a lot to the point I thought the program completely stopped) while browsing for folders; once inside the folder, the player is fine though. Also tried Meridian and the program took too long to load; it is also not responsive enough for my taste. Basically, I'm looking for an app that can play music by folder - that is as responsive and smooth as FolderPlay on Symbian S60, or the stock player on SE UIQ. Off topic: Really like the Galaxy S' gorgeous screen but also regret getting it at the same time. I guess I have too much expectation for it. I mean with its high end CPU and GPU, I expect it to be like super fluid but it takes longer to start up and to make a phone call than the 5800. Will hard resetting the phone and installing less apps help? I didn't really install that many apps, only about 9 pages filled.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a little over 20GB of music. I installed half on the players memory itself and the other half on an external micro sd card that has been inserted into the phone. Before transferring my music onto the phone and memory card, it was all under folders on my hard drived base MP3 player. I really like plug-and-play type MP3 players, non-Apple, and just simply had all my music in folders from A-Z and then the each different Band in a different sub-folder. I am not concerned with tags or album art. Since the phone comes with 16GB, I have to divide all my music half and half.
My questions are:
1. Is it possible to have all the music lumped into one like it was on my old MP3 player?
2. I cant seem to browse the music by folders. I want to have my music set up as 26 different folders from A-Z, then have the Bands seperated by folder WITHIN that folder
I tried downloading MortPlayer and Astro Player, but it doesnt seem to work right. Are there any settings on the phone to manage my music this way?
