View 1 Replies View RelatedSorry i just came from the iPhone i have seen the light of Android but i am struggling with getting media from pc-phone.
I've tried Kies but it just seems so bloody complicated, i've looked at my phone from my computer and there are various folders but none it seems for media?
Sorry for probably a basic question be gentle with the flames
I've tried MortPlayer. Mortplayer really stutters and lags (a lot to the point I thought the program completely stopped) while browsing for folders; once inside the folder, the player is fine though. Also tried Meridian and the program took too long to load; it is also not responsive enough for my taste. Basically, I'm looking for an app that can play music by folder - that is as responsive and smooth as FolderPlay on Symbian S60, or the stock player on SE UIQ. Off topic: Really like the Galaxy S' gorgeous screen but also regret getting it at the same time. I guess I have too much expectation for it. I mean with its high end CPU and GPU, I expect it to be like super fluid but it takes longer to start up and to make a phone call than the 5800. Will hard resetting the phone and installing less apps help? I didn't really install that many apps, only about 9 pages filled.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a little over 20GB of music. I installed half on the players memory itself and the other half on an external micro sd card that has been inserted into the phone. Before transferring my music onto the phone and memory card, it was all under folders on my hard drived base MP3 player. I really like plug-and-play type MP3 players, non-Apple, and just simply had all my music in folders from A-Z and then the each different Band in a different sub-folder. I am not concerned with tags or album art. Since the phone comes with 16GB, I have to divide all my music half and half.
My questions are:
1. Is it possible to have all the music lumped into one like it was on my old MP3 player?
2. I cant seem to browse the music by folders. I want to have my music set up as 26 different folders from A-Z, then have the Bands seperated by folder WITHIN that folder
I tried downloading MortPlayer and Astro Player, but it doesnt seem to work right. Are there any settings on the phone to manage my music this way?
Is there a a way for my ringtones/alarm tones not to display on the default music application ??

I just bought the new galaxy s, and downloaded kies. Now what do I do? How do I gst my music and picx in there from my pc, and how do I get them into folders and the music into playlists? Does it work like itunes?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI cannot find a way of loading the album art along with the music onto my phone. I use media player and everything in there has the correct album are associated with it. I tried syncing with my galaxy and the music went accross but the art did not. Then i tried the same with the Kies software. I updated the information so the album art was showing and transfered it accross and again the same thing happed, music but no art. I have also tried using Windows explorer with the same result.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI got myself a bluetooth FM transmitter for my work van and tested it out today. For receiving and making calls it worked fine with the audio coming out through the car's speakers. But if I play music or my navigation the audio is coming out through the phones speaker (the one on the back) rather than through the cars speakers. I don't know what setting I've got wrong.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have transferred photos and music from my Nokia N97 to my Samsung Galaxy by Bluetooth. The photos and music have come through okay. When going to my Music player, the list of tracks are displayed but there is a photo that i have transferred attached to every song on the playlist. I have deleted this photo thinking it will fix the problem but the songs are displayed with a stupid photo next to them. I just want the name of song displayed. There is no need for the photo to be linked to the song.

View 2 Replies View RelatedUnplugged headset bug was pissing me off so much that I decided to work with it.
Galaxo 1.6.3.x is really great and kicks ass.
If music app annoys you after unplugging headset just delete it.
Delete from system/app two files:
Music.apk
Music.odex
No need to restart, unplug your headphones and enjoy quiet.
Instead of crappy music.apk use Meridian from market
This is my first Android phone, and I'm fairly confused as to how I am to go about this problem. I've tried putting them in /media/audio/ringtones as well as the .nomedia text file solution, but unless I am doing something wrong, or it just works differently with this phone, the files still appear in the Music Player app.

View 2 Replies View RelatedGalaxy S on 3 with stock 2.1 ROM. When I'm listening to music on the default music player and activate the camera the music stops. If it paused I wouldn't be so bothered but it actually puts you back to that start of the track. A real pain if you're 45 mins into a podcast. Is this normal Android behaviour or Galaxy S specific? Or worse - specific to me?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen my Vibrant is connected to my car via Bluetooth and when I start my audiobook app, the music player starts by itself and plays a random song. Anyone familiar with this? Is there a fix out thre for it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I could easily do this with my other Captivate before I traded in for a new one (last one was defective, thats a different story) they are both rooted. The thing is I can't remember how I set my song as my ringtone. It is a full song and I easily set it as my ringtone. I didn't put it in a custom "ringtones" folder or anything.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just updated my SGS to Froyo via the registry hack but I noticed one small problem in the music app. Every last character on the album is missing (e.g. Pearl Jam's "Binaural" displays as "Binaura") I'm not using mp3s but flacs which may be the cause of the problem. I notice in Eclair that the music app does not recognize flac ID3 tags but in Froyo, it recognizes the album art and album name but not the artist. Great, but the missing last letter in every album's name is super annoying.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus currently. I also subscribe to Googles new streaming music. I have been trying to figure out how to play the songs in my car. We have a 2012 Chevy Cruze.
I have always been able to play music by putting the actual songs in the music folder.
I thought maybe if I used the function that puts the songs on the phone I would be able to search them up that way, but no dice.
Any workaround or a way that I can use the music off of the new streaming service in my car?

View 4 Replies View RelatedOn my galaxy s I have an external sd card which i put a bunch of songs on in a folder called music. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have put all of my music on my SD card (all 55Gb of it) but only about 300 of my 4500 songs will actually play! Most of them get a playback error.
I notice it groups all of the songs that don't work in a folder with an unknown artist. I have yet to work out why this does this as most if not all of my music has all the track information in it.
I even went as far to convert all of my songs to mp3 to see if that made a difference. It didn't, it actually made it worse..I cannot have my music collection on my phone I am going to sell my S4 and buy another iPhone.
i have just purchased a new Samsung galaxy music duos GT S6012
i want to root the phone , searched over the forum but could not root using any of the update files available.

Android Ver : 4.0.4
Kernel Version : 3.0.15-1178404
build number : IMM76D.S6012XWALL1
I've just downloaded my mp3 library to the phone (using the mass storage usb connection method) and when I try to select "artists" as the way to select music to play I get this error "Not enough space in the Music database" in the header of the phone and the player shuts down. Any thoughts on what I can do about this? There's 9.5 GB of space on the internal sd card and 2.2 GB of space free on the external 16 GB card.
View 17 Replies View Relatedduring music (mp3) playback, the application will close part-way through a track for no reason. It might happen on the first or the fourth track, but at some time during playback the music will stop and when I look at the phone there are no apps running. I've been listening to mp3's for a few days now and I've tried using both the standard Music Player and the doubleTwist player but I keep getting the same problem.
I've tried playing music from internal and external SD storages, and I don't have any other apps running at the same time. I wait a minute after the player stops before re-opening the player and playing the same track that stopped from the start and it plays through fine. I found a few posts that discussed music playback problems for the Galaxy S and other phones running 2.1, but they all seemed to relate to actual playback problems (i.e. brief silences or pops and hisses during playback) rather than the player itself stopping.
