Android : App For Accessing MS Exchange Mailbox

I know Android 2.2 has Microsoft Exchange capabilities.I am looking for something different.I would like to create an application that can access a Microsoft Exchange mailbox or calendar.Since 2.2 has added Exchange functionality, I would think I can view the open source somewhere to see how that was done, and implement something similar for my specific application. Just starting out on this.Can anyone point me in the right direction?

My workplace currently does not support the Android platform, and thus I cannot access the Microsoft Exchange server/Activesync from my phone.
Have any apps been developed that would possibly disguise my phone as an iPhone, or something similar, so I can receive e-mail via mobile? iOS is currently the only mobile platform they support, so that'd most likely be the easiest work-around.
I know someone who works in the data center, and he showed me the script they run every week to check if anything other than iPhones have accessed the server, which they then have the option to boot/wipe memory as needed.

This oddly under-informative subject line is borne on messages that keep stacking up in my K9mail-errors folder, apparently when I refresh other folders via IMAP. Can anyone suggest a good addressbook. The one that comes native to Incredible poorly shows address information. Also, is it combine exchange mail and pop mail so that it just all goes into one mailbox?

I am interested in this device, and have searched the forum for an answer to this question: Can I set the Incredible up like my curve, so that all of my email accounts and fb posts etc go to one "mailbox"? Is there a program to do this?

I finally got my email up and running. Now two different times my mailbox simply emptied. The account was still there and fine, bu tthe emails just went back to 0/0. They are not in Trash, they are gone. I am not sure what I am doing to make the mailbox empty. I tried switching to K-9 but for some reason when I was using K-9 any attachments came in as dat files and I was unoable to view pdf's or Word docs etc when using K-9. Anyone deal with this yet?

Got my Hero almost on release date from Orange Uk. I am well happy with it especially after the ROM update (official Orange one from HTC). I suffered from the missing SMS problem thats mentioned in another thread on here but I installed SMS2mailbox and that seems to be sorted now. I don't use my gmail account as my main email account I use my ISP which is Sky. I have a strange hit and miss problem with the POP mailbox and I wondered if anyone else suffers from it or knows a fix.
I have the email account setup on the Hero and it shows mail in my mailbox no problem, the issue I have is that it randomly deletes mails from my POP server and only keeps the copy on the phone. Heres an example. I get sent 5 emails in a day while I am at work. I check my Hero mail app and it shows them all. When I get home I open my Outlook client on my PC and only 4 emails come down. I can check on the phone and it still displays the 5. First I thought it was a phone setting but the 'Delete Mail on Server' is definitely set to off. This happened before and after the ROM update. I wonder if it is peculiar to Skys mail servers.

I have the very minor annoyance that the stock email program on my Droid continues to say that there's one unread email in the Trash folder. When looking at the folder list, there's a encircled "1" next to the trash folder... even though I've emptied the folder. It's been stuck that way for almost a month.

Just got the Incredible, and the only options I see for e-mail using POP3 is to delete mail from server or keep mail on server. Coming from a Blackberry, I was prompted each time I went to delete a mail message with the following: delete from "Handheld" or "Handheld & Mailbox" This way e-mail messages I needed to attend to when I get home from work would be downloaded to my desktop when I opened my mail client (and all the mail I deleted thru the day would be gone when I opened my mail client).

When I was using Froyo and Gingerbread I was able to specify days and time span in which particular mailbox will sync.
I cannot find this in ICS 4.0.3 anymore. Is that intentional "progress" in Android 4.0.3 ?

I'm asking this for my brother, so pardon me if my terminology is not exactly right. Basically he has a domain he hosts through Google Apps Premier. He has come to the conclusion (I have no idea if this is true or not) that it is impossible to set up customized mailboxes (ie "family", "friends" etc.) when using this host. I hope this question makes sense. If anyone can shed a light on this for me, please let me know and I will pass on.

In the top left corner on the taskbar with the other mini icons, I have an envelope icon with an exclamation point on it. I am trying to get rid of this, but can't figure it out. I have tried clearing out my mailbox and that doesn't do the trick. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this.

I bought a SAMSUNG Galaxy phone and had set up my official mail (yahoo business mail) under E-Mail settings. And I was receiving mails for a week. Now for the last 3 days, no mails are downlaoding and when I click Email, it only shows 'Load More Messages', but on clicking nothing happens. I am think of resetting it, but dont know how to do it. I tried holding the Email and drag it to the Trash, it moves to trash, but reappears. I tried to delete the Yahoo Biz Mail credentials I had given, so as to recreate, but after clearing each field, there is no way you can save it.
how to start receiving my officials mail again?

I have problem with calendar on my HTC desire. Sync with ms exchange works fine, but I can't add new exchange event on the phone. It is strange becouse I can edit exchange calendar entries (synced from PC). Has anybody got an idea how to fix it?

I'm using the blow code to open the gallery and grab an image for an incon im gong to store in a database and access later to populate a listview attached to a simpleCursorAdapter...........
The code runs, and then starts force closing (what seems like) randomly. I'm convinced that I've gotten something confused somewhere but since the force closure happens at all different points of my app I dont know where to start looking.

It has come to my attention that Android can only deal with asset files that are around 1M or so. My problem is that i'm creating an app that requires access to 5 csv files. The largest of the files is 130M. I want to be able to package these text files with my app. Is there anyway around this? My app needs to be able to run without Internet access so storing these files on a server is not an option.

I'm using ActivityInstrumentationTestCase2 to do automated black-box testing on my GUI. Is there a way to click on a dialog, or get Views belonging to the Dialog in unit tests?The only way I could come up with is to keep a reference to the dialog and have my Activity implement a getter method to let testcases access the dialog. Is there a better way that doesn't require changing my production code?

I am experiencing a problem with accessing an application from the Android-browser. The application uses DWR to persist connections to the clients that are connected with it. Everything works fine for me, except that if the application does not send any data to the client on the Android-phone for 2 minutes, the connection seems to be lost and no data arrive at the client. The same scenario works just fine on Firefox, Opera and Chrome. If the pause between two data transfers is less than 2 minutes, it works just fine.
So, now my question: Is there some timeout setting for the android browser that I am missing? Or is this some built-in bug/feature/whatever that I cannot circumvent? I know that I could prevent this from happening with some sort of heartbeat, I would just like to why this is happening.

I have not found any convinient way to create something like a jaxws wrapperclass for an existing Soap Webservice - like in full Java. Jaxws is unfortunately not avaliable in the sdk. Is there any was to do this without using any external libs? Are there any external libs at all yet?

I'm using hierarchyviewer to look through a widget that I'm using. (TimePicker).
Now I can see that TimePicker contains id/decrement, id/increment and id/timepicker_input.
How do I get a reference to id/timepicker_input for example?
Tried my_picker.findViewWithTag("decrement"); but that returns null.
