HTC Incredible :: SwiftKey Beta Keyboard In Market

Jul 14, 2010

Was formerly using Swype and loved it, but this new keyboard is legit! It practically reads your mind and predicts the next word for you before you even start typing it. Not sure if I'm going to stick with it yet, but definitely going to give it a dry run for a bit.

General :: Swiftkey-Keyboard Changes To AOSP-Keyboard

Jun 25, 2013

i flashed a new update of Xylon-Rom (clean flash) on my Nexus 4. Installed and restored all Apps. Usually I use Swiftkey 4 as keyboard, so I set up everything like all the times before. The last times everything works fine, but this time not. I set up SK as my standard keyboard and began to write. After a while I wanted to write again, but suddenly there was the AOSP keyboard. Changed back to SK. But after some moments it happend again. So everytime when there is a text input AOSP appears.. I change back to SK then, but after turning screen on some minutes later AOSP again.

As it would be not enough, the same thing is happening since yesterday on my gf phone (HTC One S, also rooted with Carbon Rom). Like on my phone, it never happenend before. What I've done till now? Erased App-Data of both keyboards, disabled AOSP keyboard. Everything without success.

Dont know why it happens now... I often flash other Roms, Updates etc and I use Swiftkey for a long time. Restoring with Titanium works everytime. And this time i haven't done any other thing on Restoring.

HTC Hero :: New Keyboard - Swiftkey Alpha

Feb 22, 2010

Is anyone else testing the Swiftkey alpha? It's a new keyboard that's in development. It's quite hard to use at first but now that I'm getting used to it I can say it looks VERY promising. The word prediction is brilliant, and a 1/3 of the time(according to them) it guesses the word correctly. If it doesn't it usually gets it within one or two letters of the next word.

In terms of the ui it's not amazing at the moment, but being only the second alpha release I'm not too bothered, and hopefully they will make the keys a little bigger and make it look nicer overall, a bit like in the image on their website.

They aim to have their keyboards used on android phones by default and I can see that happening the way they're going at the moment

Android :: Swiftkey Keyboard - Correct Spelling But Not Fill With Suggested Words

Oct 11, 2010

I've downloaded the Swiftkey Keyboard and like it a lot but am a bit frustrated by the autocomplete concept they use. I guess there should be two options: autocorrect spelling mistakes I make and another option for autocompleting words I am trying to type. Too often I find that Swiftkey's "predicted" word option based on what I type is so far off that I end up sending a nonsensical message to people.

HTC Incredible :: SwiftKey

Jul 10, 2010

I'm sure there are many topics about swiftkey on the incredible, but as a longstanding user of swype, gotta say that this method of text input may be the most efficient. Swype is great, but the damned landscape view is downright unusable. Kinda went back to stock for a while until I found this baby.

HTC Incredible :: Beta - Manually Installed Applications

Jun 3, 2010

So I have a general question about manually installed applications, and more specifically, beta applications.

If you manually install a beta version of an application, can you install later release versions for that application as updates from the market? Or do you have to uninstall the beta version, then install the market version? I realize that you don't get update notifications, but I'm not concerned about that. I check the market regularly.

The reason I ask is I would prefer to not have to configure applications twice (specifically Touchdown).

HTC Incredible :: Using Launcher Pro Beta - Friend Stream Lost

Jul 9, 2010

So I've recently started using Launcher Pro beta on my Incredible. Now since you can't use sense widgets within Launcher Pro you automatically lose the clock and friend stream widget etc. Losing the clock has been a non issue thanks to Beautiful widgets but I can't find an app that mimics the friend stream look and/or functionality. Right now I've just got the twitter app and the facebook app together eating up a page but it's less than ideal. Does anyone know of an app that even comes close to replacing friendstream?
