I have my 4G LTE A800s, it's working fine but sometimes i have this issue where in my phone keeps restarting by itself.... and off like dim screen....and then restarts.... i bought new battery..but nothing changed...
How do I stop Google play store and play services from running non stop in the background?? I have my location turned off, and privacy guard turned on, but somehow play services and Google maps can get my location? Google play store runs something called "daily hygiene"and all three of these apps restart themselves when I kill them. I don't need play services running, when only the location part of it is running. When I try and disable autostart, receivers, freeze them, use advanced freeze through ROM toolbox, they either revert back instantly, or as soon as the phone reboots.how to get this crap to stop running when it's not being used, and stop getting location, or whatever other things I'm trying to keep private?
i have similar problem like bootloop, my galaxy star goes on restarting itself ,it lasts only a few seconds after boot and then restarts again , i have STOCK ROM which is factory installed , i did not root my phone , i didn't try any custom rom , i tried entering download mode but unfortunately download mode also doesn't last more than 3 secs phone restarts again ,
So, I had this HTC Wildfire S that kept restarting and crashing. I then replaced the battery thinking that was the problem, but when that didn't work, I assumed it was the phones problem. Never did the SD card cross my mind, even though it had caused me issues before with unexpectedly removing itself.
I went out and bought a new, better phone, thinking it was time for one anyway. So then now I have a brand new Motorola Triumph, and I transfer my same SD card to it.
My question is... could it really be the SD card doing all this? I took the SD card out of the Motorola and it seems to be better now..
I am new at rooting and installing custom ROMS at android.
I tried to root my android mobile (Qmobile A-900, which is a rebranded version of Gionee Elife E3 Specs and Data sheet) from here and was sucessful.
I installed "MTK mobileuncle" app from google play store which would reboot phone to CWM Recovery when i select "recovery update" option.
Next i tried to install a custom Rom and followed each and every step mentioned here "For CWM Recovery i follwed steps mentioned here"
I made by current stock ROM backup file into SD saved in path SDCARDclockworkmodackup Then in CWM recovery mode i selected Format data/factory reset , then Install from ZIP, Select the Downloaded Zip (selected the custom ROM zip which was 383 Mb, the screen then installed and i recieved "sucessfully installed message while in cwm which then said that i should Reboot my phone which i did.
But now i just get my old Stock Rom welcome logo when i boot my phone for 3 sec and then it restarts and the same thing happens again and again.
"I know its not bricked coz it still displays stock rom logo and starts for a while."
My Samsung Galaxy mini is restarting frequently . Is it normal ?
It generally restarts when i launch some apps like Cam scanner , What's app , Offline dictionary .It doesn't restart when i open the app . In what's app it restarts during conversations .Its not restarting all the time , usually it works OK .
I recently bought an HTC Amaze. I have it rooted, bootloader unlocked. Unfortunately, its a SEA (unbranded) version. I tried S-Off so many times but failed. So, I decided to give CM10 and AOKP a try, as I had heard that they don't require S-Off to work on any set.
Firstly, I tried CM10 with TWRP. It didn't work. It was because TWRP doesn't have Smart Flash. So, I switched to 4EXT. It worked. CM10 started, showed me its beauty. Then, suddenly, restarted. And kept restarting. I restored to stock GB ROM. Then, I tried its older builds. Same thing happened. Some people said, kernel could be the issue. So, I decided to try AOKP. Same thing happened. It showed me some screens; select language, lock screen etc. And then restarted. I also tried Dark Glass 0.4, with Mk4 kernel. Same issue happened. The steps I followed flashing the ROMs are as follows:
All the threads that I see for applying system wide, they would replace the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk and thus would require a restart of the device from the recovery mode.
However, the ROMs like MIUI and ChameleonOS does it without a restart.
Even few Old ICS devices used to come prebundeled with 2-3 Themes with different wallpapers and launcher default widgets.
I'm trying to do something on the lines of above ROMs and have started checking their code. And found that the starting point is by appending an extra path with the AssetManager, but since they also do a lot of changes to other applications,
would be great if I can get some pointers on where to start, key things to do to get the ball rolling and if there is already some solution like this which I can add to my ROM
After attempting to download a few apps (actually a bunch of language apps), ie, after successfully downloaded only 5 of the bunch that I selected on Google Play, my Evo V 4G Virgin crashed and restarted.
After this shutting down and restarting repeated a few times, I uninstalled all new apps and force stopped and disabled Google Play... to no avail.
"Google Play Store is not responding. Would you like to close it?" message pops up twice and then the phone shuts down and restarts again continuously.
Did I get a virus?
These are the apps that downloaded before it started to do this:
Italian Lessons and Flashcards Japanese Lessons + Flashcards Chinese Dictionary+Flashcards Japanese Word a Day Widget Italian Word a Day Widget
BTW, after a couple of months I had the phone, every time the phone is restarted about 2/3 of my apps blank out (ie, replaced by the generic green Android icons) for a few minutes before they are all reloaded up. Why is this happening? Is this normal? Is this related to what's happening?
I have a sony xperia u running ice cream sandwich. The google maps app keeps on "restarting" status when I go to check the running apps. It is preventing the phone from going into deep sleep, therefore consuming 20% of battery overnight. This does not happens all the timeI have included a screenshot below.
Whenever I am on my home screen for more than a couple of seconds, the green HTC shows up then I get the loading pop up while my widgets load. then if it stays there for a while again it keeps doing it.
The past two days my INC has randomly restarted itself. Any ideas as to why? I just got the thing Saturday and of course downloaded a ton of apps, but that had never happened. I think the first time it happened was yesterday. Only app I recently downloaded that may be causing the problem is Toggle Settings. Has there been mention of that causing problems at all?
My issue is with Facebook service, it keeps restarting. Each time I go into Running services, it shows it again, When I forcestop it. It will restart 5 minutes later or so. I've gone into facebook and turned off notifications and everything. It's been draining my battery, wondering if you could shed some light? I don't want to use a task killer, had issues with it in the past. I also do not have a facebook widget on any of my scenes
I had Launcher pro on there , but as much as a liked it , it wasn't as snappy as id liked it too be . But now that i have gone back to sense , hitting home restarts sense reloading all of my widgets for about 20-30 sec.
I have an HTC desire with Orange in the UK and up til now it's been pretty fantastic. For the last couple of weeks though, it goes through fazes daily of just switching off mid-use and restarting 5 or 6 times in a row. Sometimes it boots up fully before restarting, sometimes it cuts out mid start-up and goes again....it's rather annoying as I'm sure you can imagine!
After surfing for a while, the browser occasionally has some issues. For example,I'll tap on a button on a form, and nothing will happen.Or I'll do a search, tap go, and no search happens.Powering the Incredible off and on fixes these issues. Is there a faster way? After having the phone for several days longer, I can say that this hasn't happened in days. Not sure what the issue was initially, but lately browsing has been rock solid.
After rooting my evo, i installed the ava froyo everything was working but now the phone just keeps restarting every 3 minutes and pc won't recognize, also when charging phone shoes amber led (charging) light but the battery icon won't shows as charging. Try to go back to stock rom but can't because pc does not recognize the evo. When trying to open the command window and sending the code it gives me the error message device not found.
I know there are other threads but this is strange since my phone never ever did this. All of a sudden the last two days my phone has been restarting randomly, mostly like two minutes into using the phone. It doesn't though go to the HTC Incredible screen but rather the HTC Quietly Brilliant, quickly to Verizon Wireless screen and into the OS. I see the CPU doing heavy duty work using all but 100% yet I checked System Panel and I don't see anything using that much usage. Again this has just started the last two days or so. Never before have I had this problem. Anyone else just in the last few days?
My Desire is about 2 months old and has began rebooting at random times. At first it only happened if i was on a call whilst charging the phone. The phone cuts out then immediately restarts. The O2 screen appears, then the HTC screen then I have to enter my pin. On some occasions, It happens over and over again before I even get the pin entered. Since then, it has happened when the phone is charging and not being used, as well as when I am on a call, but not charging. The phone gets extremely hot near the bottom. I opened it and removed the battery and it is the phone not the battery that warms up. The battery stays cool. I have restored to factory default and installed no apps, but it still occurs randomly. O2 business said I can only have a re-furbished handset!! how does that work? surely if a product is faulted it should be replaced with a new unit. It was only 6-8 weeks old when i first reported it to them. Also the wall charger seems to get very hot, but only sometimes. Anyone come across anything similar with overheating handset or charger?
I've tried hard reseting, nandroid restores and wiping all my data but my phone still won't boot. I had cyanogen 6 Rom installed on it and when I turned it on this morning the usual animation came up but after a minute it froze and kept restarting. I then tried all the things above and now it only gets the first solid looking X image and it doesn't move on to the animation. I have a feeling it was Rom manager that caused this as I clicked fix permissions last night.
Several apps on my epic are always on. After I end them using atk if I wait say 10 minutes they start again. Not all are bloatware some are apps I use from time to time but I don't want them to run all the time.
