View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I took some photos with my camera Reviewed and clicked share --> Gmail.Typed subject and body and photos were attached. It says sending & then my friend never gets them. Then i tried emailing myself just 1 small photo (under 1 meg) and still didn't get it.anyone ever have this issue. Is there any way to see the EMAIL Q to see if 1 email is bogging them all down from being sent?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with a video that I am trying to upload or share.I can share via facebook or gmail, but am stuck right now because it says that the file is too large. It's about 2 min of video, so I don't know how big that is since I cant find the actual size anywhere.Any idea how I can get it off the phone if I don't have an sd card reader?I guess I could mount the phone to my laptop and copy to my regular comp, but I was hoping there was an easier way to do it?

View 13 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post on here - I tried looking for an existing thread that might answer my question, but couldn't find one.Although generally happy with my HTC Hero, one problem I'm having is that I can't seem to email photos.Say I'm looking through my photos and want to email one, I press 'Menu', then 'Share', then 'Google Mail' then enter the email address and then press 'send'. It then says 'Sending message', albeit only briefly. (I would've thought it would take longer to email a 5MB photo and that the 'Sending message' notification would stay up for as long as the email was in the process of being sent.) But there's no indication of whether the email has arrived or not. Well, it hasn't. I've tried different photos, different email addresses. but none of the photos emailed using the 'share' funtion have arrived with the intended recipient.Same with the Sticky Note app. There's an option to email the sticky note, but despite numerous attempts, none of them have arrived at the recipient's email address.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI did a few searches but couldn't find anything specific to what I'm talking about. My wife and I both got Droids the other day and love them. We are enjoying finding apps and all that stuff, but one thing I haven't been able to figure out is how we can share applications between us. Granted I dont want to illegally share apps with random people and friends, just between my wife. Not big into paying for 1 app 2 times so that we can share an experience. We both have ipod touch's, and we have always been able to share the apps with that by my 'authorizing' her ipod to match mine. She still has her email and all that, just we share a purchasing account. I imagine there is a backdoor way to copy apps and api's, but i dont want to get into that. I used to have a custom rom winmo and part of the appeal of the droid was it would do everything i want without having to crack it. I heard google was thinking about app sharing, and app2sd is in official development, but is there anything I can do now?

View 6 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to share resources across APK's? For example, can application A (in APK A) load an icon or layout view from application B (in APK B)?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an apk (App1) that has a raw resource (res/raw/mytextfile.txt) and I would like to read that text file from another apk (App2). I define a content provider in App1 and I override the openFile(Uri, String) method as follows:
CODE:.......
App2 does the following to try to get access to mytextfile.txt:
CODE:.........
However, when I read and write out the contents of the BufferedReader, I get way more than just the contents of mytextfile.txt.
I played with this some more and found that the file desriptor returned to App2 is pointing to the App1 apk file. I wrote out the contents of the BufferedReader to a file and did a binary comparison to App1.apk. The two files were identical.
I'm running into some issues when trying to share files between android phones. I tried emailing the .apk, tried uploading to go aruna, but it wont download. let me know if there s iIbetter way.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo i have followed the MANY tutorials on how to add your app to the SHARE menus using android.intent.action.SEND in the manifest...I can't figure out for the life of me how to get the image or display the image or even upload...so here is what i am trying to do...upon click my app in the share menu, it will open up the intent that handles this request...i already have the layout but i need to load the image into the ImageView on the layout itself...once loaded, i will type a caption in an EditText and then click the save Button...then i will upload it to my webserver...i have found all the parts i need to get this done other than how to get the image itself..

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am working on couple android applications which share a common component. The component has Activities, Service and own AndroidManifest.xml. After research, it seems there is no concept of run time share library among applications in Android. So I am looking for a way to linked the share component with other applications at compile time. Applications which will use the component can come from external, therefore I will only provided the compiled file. I would like to build the component into own apk or jar file, can external application include my jar/apk file into their package and be able to start my activity? Please share your experience and advice.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe app has an intent filter to allow it to appear in the share menu in other applications via ACTION_SEND intents. The app itself also has a share menu using ACTION_SEND and create Chooser(), and my app appears in the list. Since they are already in my app it seems strange to have them be able to share back to itself. Is there a way for my app not to appear in the list if it's being called from my app?

What good there is , what bad ?
View 18 Replies View RelatedNot that the above sticky is not useful and interesting. For those who have not read it, there is a debate raging about the effect of a specific OC setup on battery life.Regardless of that, has anybody else tried to overclock the processor for speed, or underclock it for battery? I am curious about a few things:
1. If you overclock the process for speed, which applications benefit? So far, there is very little lag anyway - without overclocking.
2. Is it not necessary to up the voltage going to the Evo processor when overclocking? For example, when I overclocked my home pc, I changed the voltage and the RAM timing.
3. When underclocking, if the same "stock" voltage is going to the processor anyway how does anybody expect to get battery savings? In my mind, the speed of the processor is not the issue, it is the energy that the processor consumes. (Or is this automatically handled by the widget behind the scenes?)
4. When underclocking the processor - have you experienced more lag? What is the "slowest" the processor can run before you notice anything?
5. What general experiences have you had with applications, the process, etc.

Any advice? is this possible today?
It amazes me that no one has shared their update file here yet, but today I realized that if my Inc finally gets the ota tomorrw, I have no idea how to get it to all of you.

I looked into SpringPad but it doesn't necessarily share...you can make items public and have someone follow your account.
Google Docs may work, but I am looking for an app, not a web interface.
