I searched for this in pretty much every category and I haven't found a solution. There are times when I receive an email or text on my phone that I want to save it. I've been through many menus and I can't seem to find out how to do it, if it's possible on this device (fingers crossed).

I'd like to know if the contacts program or the texting app that came loaded on the phone have a way to send text messages to groups.(Maybe this is a Google question.) I'm using Gmail contacts, which load into the phone fine, but I can't locate (in the phone) the groups I've set up. (As if they don't survive the sync). So the only way to send txt to multiple recipients is to enter each manually. Can get tedious for large lists.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having is when I try to send a picture through picture message I get an error saying message size limit reached, you cannot attach this to your message. So in order to send a picture this way do I have to either:
a. change my camera settings to lower resolution?
b. is there a program or setting to automatically send a smaller image and keep my high res photo?
Obviously I would prefer option B as this camera rocks and takes some good pics.

At least twice in the past couple months, all of my text messages (several thousand within dozens of conversation threads) have suddenly disappeared without warning. It basically happens like this: I check or send some texts, check something else on my phone like my email or calender or other routine function, then go back within moments to check or send another text and just like that, my entire text message history is EMPTY. Talk about frustrating!
I have doubled checked my settings and have nothing set that would cause older messages to be purged. Anyone know what may cause this and how to prevent it from happening again? BTW, I also had all my favs as identified in my favs widget totally disappear once (had to re-select each one again). Not sure if this is related, but I thought I mention it.
Ok coming from the droid and I always wondered how do I get all the stuff that is pre installed deleted. I have numerous things I want gone. I have noticed on this x that it seems there is so much running. I have stopped it and somehow it seems to want to run again. Those are the things I want gone. I will never get any battery life with all this running all the time. There is a news thingy that runs any way to disable this stuff.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy DroidX has several pieces of bloatware from Verizon or Motorola. I don't mind giving up a little Ram space for them, but many are running all of the time. After you kill them they come back to life. Why does Music, Maps, SkypeMobile, CityId etc. need to run when I haven't even started them? I "assume" that they are just waiting until the end of a time period (an hour I hope rather than a second) to check if the need to "call home". If they are doing much they are eating battery time which isn't as good as I would like. I realize that I would have to root my Droid to remove the apps. Is there an easier ways to keep them from running?

I want to be able to block specific contacts, unknown number or anonymous numbers and also specific contacts for SMS. I can see I have the option to send a contact direct to voicemail but don't have the same facility for unknown/anonymous callers and nothing to block SMS. I want the phone's caller ID to recognize the caller and simply bloc the call (I don't want the phone to ring and I don't want it to accept any voice mails from this guy). I have tried unselecting the arabic language and changing between "motorola keyboard" and "Mobidiv keyboard" to no avail. It does not happen with the on-screen keyboard, that one is working fine. Its ridiculous, I am writing just fine on-screen, I open the keyboard and the Arabic characters start appearing.

I'm hoping this thread will help, but in my experiences with technology...We may never get a straight answer/ solution. I've followed some threads on the "low on space" icon. I've gone through and deleted lots unused apps and I've cleared many of my caches.
While deleting apps i noticed that more then half of the apps on my eris are apps that i haven't downloaded and/or came pre-loaded on the phone. I understand that some are essential to the functioning of the phone (like being able to sync with your pc, download apps, etc). But i've noticed apps like "footprints" and the amazon "mp3 store" that I really have no use for. While managing apps there is no option to delete or get rid of these apps...is there a way to safely do so? or do i really have to live with having very few apps on my phone? (because i really don't have many that I have actually downloaded myself) Sorry for the lengthy post...i want to answer as many questions as i know how before i start getting responses.
