I already did a search and couldn't find this i have a question. How do you save a pictures when in a web page or when you are looking at someone pictures via the facebook app.

I'm new to all this jargon so please be kind! I want to be able to save pictures from the Internet on my phone when I am browsing the Internet on my phone. For example, say I am on a website and I see a picture I like how do I save it to my phone? You can't click save as anywhere, can you? Is what I'm wanting to do called taking a screenshot? Is that what's it's called on the ipod touch when you click the two buttons and it saves it? If so, I'll go to that thread. Oh, also, when would I use the footprint widget? Does that just save a bunch of pictures for easy viewing?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSome time ago we discussed in a separate thread whether it was possible to save web pages from the Browser app for browsing off-line when an internet connection was not available.At the time the simplest workaround that was suggested involved emailing a link to oneself, opening the link and saving the web page on a PC, then copying the saved page to the Hero's SD card.In fact, if all you want to save is the text content of a web page (without any pictures or other linked content), this can be done straight from the Hero Browser. Long-pressing on a link brings up various options including one, "Save link", which actually saves the target of the link to the downloads folder on the SD card. If the target is an html file then that file (and only that file) will be saved.I still think it would be good to have a "save web page" option which saves not just the text but the images and other linked content as well. But, in the meantime, this "Save link" option is a good deal better than nothing.

I like HTC sense but think that the icons are getting boring, I downloaded the droid icons (2.0 icons) and used better cut to change it. But it will not work with HTC Sense so i am using the 3 Page android one. My question is, is their any download in the market or online that lets you add the Sense widgets to the normal android screens. I have astro file explorer and will try to search for the widgets in the htc folder and copy them to the android widgets folder.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI installed the wireless tethering app today and decided to play with it for the heck of it, I was able to set it up, and when I went to my laptop and hit refresh I was able to see the network, I then tried to connect and it would not connect, as it said something about a 13 key ascii so I checked to see and checked the password and still could not connect got the same error message, i then decided to disable the encryption and then refresh the network and tried to connect again, I was able to connect but was not able to open a page up, now i don't know if that was because my reception was not great but still would not open a web page, any suggestions, another note, it rebooted the phone about 3 times and froze the phone once, I am on the AOSP Mod ROM V 0.9.7. I know the Cat mentioned he got his to work, just curious if it was with this Rom or the CM6 one, any input would be great, just want it as a backup incase of in a bind.

First, is moving things I don't use from where they are. It is possible to move the Browser icon off the home page?
On the first tap to the right I have the music application, and I never use that. I would like to use that space for App icons. Can I move that?
Finally, two taps to the left is the calender. Can I move that?
Is there any way or any app I can get that will let me use pictures I take as wallpaper? I mean I can set the pictures as my wallpaper, but I only see a small portion of it.

ok, so last week, when i added a contact on my HERO it auto synced with my Google account and added that person to my list when I looked on my PC. Now it is adding them to the phone only and I can not find where the setting is to add them to my Gmail account,... any ideas anyone ?

I looked up the instructions in Gmail Help and they refer to a picture section in Contacts. The problem is I do not see any reference to pictures in either new or existing contacts or edits. I was sent a photo attached to a text message but it said that the mms did not down load. I couldn't figure out how to view it so I had to go into the stock message app and download the photo. People send me pictures, they come through on my phone as a gray arrow pointing right like you should be able to click them and play the media, but nothing happens when you click them. I've confirmed that what they are sending me is just a picture taken with a sprint phone.. Why won't the picture display in handcent? What do I have to do to see these pictures?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I first installed Handcent, whenever someone sent me a pic it just popped right up on my screen. No action needed on my part to open a file or anything.
About 2 days ago it started sending these "Download" boxes instead. I press the box that is in the txt msg and it reads "downloading".
Two Questions:
1. Where do those pix download to?
2. Sometimes it says "unable to download"..... now what?! It doesn't tell me why it cannot download the pic.
Got a text and they sent me a video & pictures for directions to a new place.

Sorry if this has been discussed on here before but I did search for about 20 minutes and found nothing relating to what I am experiencing. I get the following error when trying to take pictures on my HTC Hero (Sprint) "Unable to save file to SD card due to insufficient file permissions" I have removed and replaced the card. It will work for about 15 minutes then the same error. I also backed up everything and formatted the card. It worked again for about 15 minutes then the same error.
