View 5 RepliesGoogle Chrome ships by default with a terrific little feature called "Sync". Sync basically allows you to share your bookmarks on any computer running Google Chrome, simply by configuring Chrome to use your Gmail account. I love this because I have two computers at home, and one at work, and can access all the same bookmarks from any of the computers.
My question is, is anyone aware of a method or application that would allow me to access these synced Google bookmarks through my Android phone? I am using an HTC Desire with Froyo (Cyanogenmod 6.0). I use the Dolphin HD browser, and am aware of options of importing my bookmarks manually, however I prefer to keep my bookmarks organized into folders and not just displayed as one long list. If nothing already exists, I may just get scripty and server up a website that would display all of my Chrome bookmarks in the browser.
Is it still not possible to sync bookmarks from google chrome (pc) browser and another browser on the htc ?
I know it is possible to sync opera desktop version with mobile version but it does not open a few pages correctly on some of the sites i use and i am not too keen on the pc version of opera, its trying to do too much.
Surely i would have thought googles own browser should be able to sync with google mobile browser.
I'd like to know how to access my Google Bookmarks via Chrome for my Android. In Chrome (Android), I made sure sync was enabled for my Google account and bookmarks is checked. However, when I open the bookmarks on Chrome (Android), nothing appears. If it's worth anything, these bookmarks were added in Firefox, but again these are Google Bookmarks, not saved locally in Firefox.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI don't use Chrome on my desktop but I do have a ton of bookmarks stored in Google bookmarks, part of Google labs I believe. Is there anyway to sync them with my device? I should mention my PC is down so the answer can't be to use chrome on my desktop.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a way to transfer all my phone's bookmarks (probably like 50 of them) to my computer. The only way that I've been able to find out how to do it is to physically email them to myself one by one. I would prefer not to have to do that. Does anyone know where the links are stored on the phone or know of a way to do what i'm looking for? I know google chrome can transfer chrome to phone but i was hoping for the other way around. Hopefully in bulk and not one by one. any ideas?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI miss typing in someones name on my BB keyboard and then pressing their name to call them. Love the Hero though. I know the hero can do this, but there are two things I dislike: 1. It uses a keypad not a keyboard. 2. The keypad takes up so much space that you can only see 2.5 names at a time, not 7 or 8+ like a BB. (I know about pressing the button to remove the keypad to see more names) Is there any way of changing #1 or #2 on my Hero? Also, What is the fastest way to copy someone's number and paste it in a text message to someone else? A task I seem to do more often than I would like. The send contact as a vcard is cool, but not all phones can read vcards.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am kind of new to the G1 and this site. I've only had my phone for a few weeks. I've been using the chrome browser for it's download functions, but I can't seem to figure out the program in depth. There's some buttons that will flip between pages that are open, but I can't seem to figure out how to save bookmarks with it. Is there a text file or instructions on how to use this program?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI still cannot believe there is no way to keep your bookmarks synchronized with your computer's chrome's ones. Is there any way to keep my dolphin HD bookmarks synchronized with the bookmarks I use in chrome? I always found it very helpful, since I use chrome (and chromium) in at least three different computers and I never have to worry about my bookmarks because when I change them in one of the browser's instance, the other ones just change, having all the same ones. How to do the same on an android system?
View 1 Replies View RelatedOne thing I have yet to figure out is how to get my bookmarks syncing between Chrome on my desktop and the stock Android browser. I found a link that purports to be a workaround using Google docs, but it doesn't work for me -- I don't see anything my "My Folders" even though I am syncing my bookmarks in Chrome between three different workstations.
View 1 Replies View RelatedCan't find an answer online. I've been using Habit browser and want to try Chrome for Android. I can export my bookmarks from Habit but I can't seem to import them to Chrome.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a new Samsung Tab 3. Logged in with my Google account. However none of my bookmarks are syncing. Google Dashboard says I have the right number of bookmarks, but none show up in Chrome.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have:
* Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-I9100) running CyanogenMod 9 (Android 4.0.4).
* On the phone the Google Chrome Beta for Android.
* I have 2 Windows 7 Ultimate running Google Chrome dev channel. In both computers I'm loggin to Google Chrome (not only Gmail, the sync feature of the software).
The thing is this:
I only see the "Mobile bookmarks" on the Google Chrome Beta (on the phone) and also in only one of the Windows 7 computers.
I want to see the "Mobile bookmarks" in the 3 devices: 2 Windows 7 and 1 Android phone.
old laptop was fired up and Chrome sync'd and wrecked my bookmarks on my desktop PCs. The bookmarks on my Nexus in Chrome haven't sync'd up to the server yet and contain all the bookmarks I've lost. I'm looking for a way to extract them from my phone and try to port them back to my desktop.
I'm running stock ICS, but I am unlocked and rooted.
I also have a Titanium Backup that should hopefully also contain a valid back up of the data.
Is there a way to manually sequence the bookmarks in Chrome, on my Nexus 7?
At present, I can't even determine where they're stored, except that they frequently disappear if I don't have an internet connection, which suggests somewhere online.
I have come across a problem that I am unable to solve. It happened several days ago and firstly I didn't paid much attention to it however after another few days it became very frustrating. On my Android 4.3, chrome seems unable to synchronize bookmarks with it's desktop version. I don't remember if it was caused by android update (about a week ago; I think from 4.1.2 to 4.3). I tried to restart the phone, I updated chrome to its last version and as a last resort I deleted my google account from the phone and added it back. However after this procedure I no longer see an option to synchronize chrome in settings (it was there before I deleted/added the account). There are several totally unsusable options but the one that makes any sense is not there.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have three root folders in Chrome for Android: Other, Desktop, and Mobile Bookmarks. "Other" and "Desktop" sync to Chrome's desktop counterpart. But, how does one get the Mobile Bookmarks folder to sync, which incidentally is the default folder opened in the browser? Presumably, this is the folder that you would most likely want to have synced, no?
And, for those bookmarks I have indeed saved on the device to the "Mobile Bookmarks" folder, I can't for the life of me figure out how to sort them. Yet, the other two seemingly less important root folders can be sorted with a simple automatic sync using the desktop Chrome version.
I restored my Nexus 7 and re-synced it with my Google account. But somehow all the bookmarks in the desktop Chrome have disappeared. But the weird thing is the folders still remain. And on my tablet all the bookmarks that are now missing are in the mobile bookmarks section (not in any folder though, all just plopped in there).
How can I revert them all back to there folders?
Why I can't get all webpages to give me a preview in the Chrome bookmarks widget?
I even have to bookmarks on the same website, just a link to 2 different forums...one shows up, one doesn't. Cant get the mobile or desktop version of espn to show up. Almost none of my desktop bookmarks showed up so i made some mobile ones and only about half show up. I've rebooted my launcher restarted chrome, restarted the phone etc etc.
Haven't found another widget where all thumbnails show up either, at least htat will work on ics/chrome.
GS3 running Apex launcher if that matters.
I prefer using Firefox over Chrome on my desktop but with my android tablet, Chrome works better than any other browser. is it possible to sync my desktop firefox bookmarks to my Chrome tablet browser?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI added some bookmarks to the Bookmark Widget that i don't want any longer, but i can't figure out how to delete them. I found another post about the G1 where it said to long press, but that only allows the whole widget to be removed and not individual bookmarks.
I've tried changing the name/link of the bookmarks and all that does is add another bookmark. Please help, now i have too many bookmarks i don't want.
How do I import my bookmarks? I want to have a separate screen with a few bookmarks but how do i do it? I have a bunch in my google bookmarks but how do i get them to the stock browser and he phone?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just recently found out that my friend, who is currently using the HTC Eris, has and is using google chrome on his phone! Any one know how to get google chrome onto my google phone?
View 5 Replies View Relatednormally I have sync turned off to prolong battery life but it also removes the capability to see the desktop bookmarks while in Android's Chrome browser. I thought the bookmarks were stored locally and then synced back when sync turned on.
To see desktop bookmarks I have to flip the sync on do my thing and then flip it back off when I'm done browsing.
I have the Chrome bookmarks widget on my homescreen, and the first spot is taken up by the "Mobile Bookmarks" folder (see screenshot). This is really annoying. When I first started using the widget, this was not the case, after a while it just appeared there.
Anyway to avoid this? Maybe even a way to change the order of the bookmarks?
If not, is there any way to remove the "Mobile bookmarks", "Desktop bookmarks" and "Other bookmarks" folders in Chrome so I could just have my bookmarks in one place?
I'm on a Sony Xperia Z1, Android 4.3, not rooted.
