View 10 RepliesI downloaded imusic, an application in the market and now my phone is jacked up. It says I have no service and everytime I open anything....it force closes. tell me that I don't have to reset. I have not received any sms or calls all day.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've tried searching for a thread to help me with this and can't seem to find one. My mms will not download to my phone. The messages come through but will not finish downloading or open. I have uninstalled handcent which I thought may have been a problem and it corrected it for 1 mms then I am back to square 1. My internal memory has 87mb left and I've deleted all apps I don't use.
I have tried deleting all messages in the phone by batch mode and it either freezes up or gives me force close to what looks like the mms program. I am trying to avoid a hard reset because we all know how much of a pain to reinstall everything is. I am starting to get really fed up with the phone because for the money I paid, I expect much better. As much as I dislike Apple products, I can see why people rave about their products - they don't have these problems. (*sssshhh don't tell Apple fanboys I said that)
why does my calender keep force closing?i have widget installed that wasn't on the hero when i bought it.i guess it could be that, but does anyone else have issues with this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI love the Last.FM app, but I cannot keep it from force closing on me...
View 2 Replies View RelatedUp until now, Handcent has worked just fine for me (except for not being able to view pix occasionally). About 2 days ago it force closed on me. Today it has done that about 4 times. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Handcent, as well as power cycled the phone, but it is still acting up.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy does my calender keep force closing? i have pure grid calender widget installed too, and no matter if i use the native app or the pure grid widget, they all force close? there a setting im missing or what?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using Fresh 2.3.3, and everything is working great. However, Wireless Tether won't start. Whenever I use it - it force closes. This is actually the first time I think I've tried it. I don't remember ever using it on the earlier version of Fresh rom I had.
This only seems to happen when trying to connect through bluetooth. I can start the program, access the menu and settings and all of that - but as soon as I press on the big green wi-fi icon to start tethering - it force closes. The USB mode seems to work fine... but I need to use bluetooth mode.
So I just flashed Darchdroid 2.7 and every time I try to open the calendar it says "The process com.android.calendar has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Anyone know of a way to help me fix this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedHas anyone been having this trouble lately? I've tried clearing out old messages and clearing the cache but yet it still force closes on almost every picture while resizing it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. When I try to open a Facebook contact, the people app keeps force closing and restarting.
View 8 Replies View Relatedthe screen wont respond to anything. and it just keeps restarting itself... and when it turns to the home page.. it always says htc sense failed.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else having this issue where the phone or just sense (is it still even sense?) reboots? I get this and the word "FRESH" pops up while I get the loading wheel and all of my widgets have to re-load.
It takes less than a minute (if it's just the interface and doesn't boot to the HTC screen...), but it's happened a couple of times now when I got an incoming call - and I can't answer the phone. Anyone else getting this?
So I have a Sprint HTC HERO. Everytime my gps starts my phone reboots. I have tried everything to fix except complete re-install of OS (android 2.1).
Any Ideas before I spike this thing like an aborted fetus and paint the wall with my brain matter? Goodbye cruel world...
I've seen threads every phone except Hero. My wife's phone rebboots at will. We will be asleep in the middle of the night and there goes the hero chirp reboot noise. Anybody else have this problem or a cure. Beside another phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo just starting like about a week ago, my phone will reboot if i go into google maps.I press google maps, press menu, then the screen goes to the white background with green htc, and reboots. This happens all the time without fail. This sucks cuz I use the google maps a lot as a traffic report and gps. This is not good. The hero has too many problems.I feel like nothing works properly on this phone.. anyone else have this problem? fix?
View 13 Replies View RelatedOk, so after searching for a few hours, I have seen it said three ways.
1. To properly close an app so it doesn't run in the background, you need to back out of it.
2. To properly close an app so it doesn't run in the background, you need to hit your home button.
3. To properly close an app so it doesn't run in the background, you need to go into task manager and just kill it.
All I want to do, is exit the app and have it NOT running in the background.
Does anyone get soft static on their Hero? i can't tell if it is certain people i talk to or just all the time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my hero, nearly every time I try to create or edit a calendar event, I get the following force close pop up: It is getting very aggravating and no matter how many times I do a battery pull, it still happens. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it, but I use a program called spanning sync to sync my mac iCal program with my gmail which in-turn syncs to my hero.
View 13 Replies View RelatedWhen I am in a call on my Sprint HTC Hero, if I bring up the touch-keypad, hit the number 1 and then slide the keypad away, I get a message "Starting MMI sequence" and the call disconnects. The reason I discovered this is because I use Google Voice and I need to press 1 to accept a call or 2 to send it to voic email. But, when I press 1 and slide away the keypad, it disconnects. This does not happen when I press the actual keypad soft-button to get the keypad to disappear, it only happens when I swipe it down and away. It runs other MMI Sequences, depending on which key I press... (2 and 4 give me a dial tone to make another call, 3 gives me a popup that says "unable to conference calls", etc...) so is this a function of the phone (like a shortcut or something), or is it something that shouldn't be happening? Like I said, I don't think I've noticed it before the last day or so and I can't find anything about it in the manual or on any of the forums. Should pressing a button on the soft-keypad and swiping the keyboard away while in a call always run an "MMI Sequence"?
View 6 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know a way to eliminate the soft buttons on the home screen, so my wallpaper won't get cut off at the bottom?
View 15 Replies View RelatedSo it's widely known that soft resets of this phone causes problems with the icons as well as displayed program names.Has anyone noticed that soft resets also revert some of your programs back to earlier versions? The 2 I've noticed most often are Pandora and Mybackuppro. For example, the current version of Pandora is 1.1.1. When I upgraded from 1.1.0 in the marketplace, I installed over the old version and everything was working fine. After a soft reset, I noticed that the opening splash screen for Pandora listed 1.1.0, but the listing under my downloads in the app store didn't list an upgrade needed. I had to uninstall 1.1.0 and reinstall 1.1.1. I had that version on for about a week until I had another soft reset. Sure enough, I'm back to Pandora 1.1.0. The same thing happened with mybackuppro. This is far more irritating than screwing up the icons or displayed name, because this is actually changing what version of the software we're using.early adopters being the beta testers for mobile manufacturers and carriers.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that when I do a soft reset (power cycle phone off and on) that the start up screen has what looks like dead pixels. When the phone actually boots up to the HTC screen with Android waving the "dead" pixels disappear. They only appear on start-up and go away at the HTC screen with Android. I noticed about 5 "dead" spots. Is this normal?
View 6 Replies View RelatedHTC Sense keeps force closing on my EVO. I have turned the phone off and back on and the same happens. If I switch to a HTC scene, as opposed to a Custom scene, it works fine for awhile. I had it working almost a whole day, but HTC sense starting force closing again, once it starts, it keeps doing it, until you change HTC scenes again. If you change to a custom scene, the force close continues. I disabled HTC sense. Now I can't turn HTC sense back on, but I don't really want to if I am going to keep having the same issue.
For now I need to know if anyone else is having HTC Sense force close on them, and if there is a fix, or if it is known what is causing it. I will worry about how to turn it back after I find out why it's doing it and can fix it. I did a search for HTC Sense force closes and could not find anything, so I started this thread.
Now my sms keeps force closing. Even if I just have 2 texts. Anyone else have this issue? I don't want a new phone because I have a full skin protector on.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI installed ADW.Launcher 2 times now. But for some reason I'm getting a lot of force closes. Then when I hit the icon at the bottom to display all my apps; that's even messed up sometime. Is anybody else having this issue? I'm thinking that maybe Beatutful widges or Bettercut is the problem but I'm not sure. I really don't want to uninstall all my apps and install them one at time just to find out what's the problem. But that may be my only choice.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe SMS keeps force closing on me on my Droid 41/09. Sometimes two or three times a day. When it force closes, it deletes all threads. It even does it when there is only one thread with a few messages in it. I haven't noticed anything specific that causes the force close to happen, it just happens when it wants to. I removed all downlaoded apps and the problem persists. I am using the default messaging app. Is anyone else experiencing this and has anyone found a solution? I absolutely love this phone and it is my first Android device.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason Handcent keeps force closing all of a sudden. I haven't noticed this before & its happened about 4 times.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUnfortunately I was going line-by-line through Jonamerica's root guide instead of reading through the whole thing in detail first. I ended up removing Twitter, facebook, etc w/o removing my user ID. Now, accountsync FC's everytime I try to open it. In light of my mistake, how do I correct this issue? I can't seem to find any answers via search.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone with Unrevoked3. Then applied Unrevoked Forever. Then tried to update to 2.2 with the Update.zip method from the google server file. Phone kept rebooting and force closing. Attempted to Unroot which I am not sure I did properly. I also think my phone is still S-off. Tried to update to 2.2 after unrooting and get errors and it aborts. Now I am also worried that I will not be able to receive the OTA update. Any suggestions? Any way to make sure I am unrooted?
