May 10, 2010What happened to the Incredible marketing I think I've seen like one boring commercial which does not even show the phone and one or two radio ads, that's it? when you have the best phone out in the market shouldn't they be marketing it? The Motorola is still be marketed as the best phone in all the radio ads and commercials they have.Its so annoying I'd like to see the incredible being marketed everywhere.

HTC Incredible :: Port Phone Number When Changing From Alltel To Verizon?
Apr 16, 2010I am dumping Alltel (I live in MT where Verizon and Alltel are separate) the day the Incredible is available out here. My question deals with the process I need to go through to keep my current phone number (I've had it for 7 years and use it for business). What exactly do I need to do? Do I need to cancel my Alltel contract first? Note: this will mean paying the ETF fee associated with my Alltel contract since I am over a year away from my 2 year contract running out. If anyone can shed a light on what I need to do to keep my phone number when changing providers like this.

I only mention this to show that I'm not just a lazy poster. I have made the legitimate effort that I was told I should when I subscribed to this forum.Now for the questions:
1) Is there a way to get the apps offered by Verizon?
2) It appears that some people have gotten the new Android OS already. Is this true?
3) Will the phone alert me to the update as it normally does or do I need to find it and download it myself?
4) Finally, does anyone know when I might get the new OS or is this the question that most of us have?
Android :: LG Ally From Verizon 2.1-update1 Has Broken Apps
Sep 26, 2010I have been told by one of my customers that my app (and some others) no longer works on his phone since he got an OTA for2.1-update. a bit of a Google about and it sounds like yes - my customer and my app are not alone. Has any-one else encountered this - is it Verizon's fault or has my app got some obscure bug? The icon has changed from the normal group text icon to a generic android icon, and instead of being called group text, the name that shows up in my app menu is "com.smallbould". When I click on the icon, every time I get an immediate message saying that Andriod Home has to be force closed. I never even make it to the group text main screen... nothing from group text loads, period. I can uninstall the app and then reinstall it from Android market and everything goes back to normal... the icon and the app name go back to normal and the app loads and works without a problem. But as soon as I power down the phone, the app reverts to the generic icon and becomes totally non functional again. For what its worth, Fandango and History Eraser also have this problem after 2.1-update1. All of these apps worked flawlessly before the update. My phone is an LG Ally from Verizon.

I've been running these apps forever and all different roms. Apps like HD Widgets and Adobe Flash Player are a couple that are doing this. Is there a way to fix this or is it a per-ROM problem?

Nov 10, 2009For some strange reason I can't seem to set-up my personal e-mail account on this Droid phone. I click on "e-mail", I type in my e-mail address and my password, and then I click "next". And then I get a message that says my username and/or password does not match. But I am positive it does, as I have gone online to test it. I have tried retyping my username and passwrod over and over again without any success. I can't get passed that screen.
I have Verizon FiOS at my house, so my e-mail is set-up through Verizon/Yahoo.
