my mate sent me a video through bluetooth but when i play it the picture is tiny! what is the best format for playing videos on the x10 ive got a converter to convert it.

Just got an x10 I convert and move mpeg4 videos to the phone. The videos play fine however they are not full screen in landscape. Instead in landscape mode they are more square shaped videos.
How can i play videos in full wide screen?
I havent downloaded any video/media player apps, im using thr default one on the x10.
Gonna get a headset soon. Can u still use your phone for say playing games whilst talking.

View 5 Replies View RelatedThis time I wanted to play some media , a WMV file, from FOXDIGITALCOPY, and it seems Xperia doesnt support it - atleast that's what the FOXDIGITALCOPY software tells me when I tried to sync up the media from my PC.
Also, this file doesnt even show up on the mediascape screen though I copied into the videos folder where other videos are saved.
I tried to play a more smaller and simpler file - the wildlife HD video sample from Windows - which is again a WMV file.
This time, Xperia tries to play it, but the video only comes up as stills while the audio plays as normal.
I am having issues with playing videos on my X10. I have used Media Go to convert .avi to .mp4 before and they have worked fine but now I can only get 1 file to work out of 10. I have played the converted files in Mediscape and now they dont want to work.
So......
I have tried several different conversion programs (Smart C, Double Twist and some others I cant remember) and I have also tried a couple of different players as well (Rock Player, YxFlash, Real Player) and nothing works.
YxFlash used to let me play .avi and I believe that Rock Player is supposed to be able to support .avi as well. Now, nothing.
I dont mind converting the files, IF THEY WORK.
I don't have a clue why but i was listening to me music of me phone speakers with the phone upside down then the audio stopped playing and now from what it seems the audio will not play on any of my apps. I did think the speakers might have blown but if thats the case i wou.d not here the other persons voice when i get a phone call. Could some give me some actual useful info or advice on what to do to resolve this issue cheers, i hope fully don't want to have to send the phone to a repair center but me guts are telling me thats what i am gooner have do!.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOK so someone on my other forum was having problems with where to store videos on the SD card so that Mediascape can 'see' them. Easy I thought, but I spoke too soon. So now I bow to someone else's superior knowledge, where the heck do you store them? Tried Video, Media, getting desperate DCIM file and just plain old root of the SD card.I know 3rd party apps can find them... got MixZing and it found it no problem from the video file.

I can watch them back on my phone, however, when I open MediaGo, they are not on the "video clips" area but instead are in the "other files" area. Fine, however, when I try to play them, I get the following message "The file does not appear to be supported.
If you would like Media Go to attempt to play it, right click the file and choose re-scan". I do the "re-scan" but alas, am met with the same message when trying to play the video file? It seems strange that I captured the video on my x10, can play it on my x10, however, MediaGo for some reason doesn't support it?
Okay, so when I use the you tube app on just about every other phone, there is sometimes a button at the corner of a video to let me upgrade to the high quality version of the vid. This does not happen when I use the app on the X10. Do I just need to do an upgrade, or is this some bizare thing that the x10 just doesn't do?

I have copied files directly and I have used Media Go. I have converted the files to mpeg4 with many different conversion programs and I still cant get any videos to show up. Is this a known issue? Is there some kind of setting that I'm missing? I've tried to transfer files from my old phone tthat were in 3GPP format and I converted that. Also I have tried other video files that were not on my old phone and I have had no luck. I have transfered music and photos with no problem.
