I've always had SE phones, and have just replaced my beloved C905 with a nice shiny new X10 mini pro BUT I am bitterly disappointed that I do not seem to be able to directly sync the phone's contacts and calendar directly with MS Outlook on my computer - a tool I find incredibly useful and invaluable! I may have to go back to the C905?

I have tried the facebook app "sony ericsson contacts" and it doesnt work. Tried to merge contacts manually on the phone but then my contacts shows their facebooknames and not their nicknames.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have x10 mini 2.1 since I updated to 2.1 any long press on home screen or corner icons goes directly to edit either widgets or icons depending wich screen I have up.This is anoying because many times I press just a little too long and for example end up in the edit icons mode instead of opening messages like I wanted to. Is there anyway to get this as it was on 1.6? Long press didnt open edit, the only way to open edit was trough menu key.

But...
After the phone has been off, the camera works fine the first time I start it.
And if I close the camera application and start it again straight away it also works fine.
But if I wait for maybe half an hour or more and then open the camera application, the phone reboots itself.
This is very repeatable and it looks like there's something wrong in the software or so.
xperia mini can't send messages to multiple recipients what gives?

It has a problem that every few days or so the screen locks up and becomes unresponsive and the only way to reset it is to do a battery pull. My question basically is should I take it back to the shop, or is it likely to need to have android reinstalled or something?
It did this on the very first startup after unboxing, it froze up when choosing the language setting, so obviously it is unrelated to any other apps i have installed. At the time I didnt think it was too much of a problem but then as I say, it started doing it every few days.

Facebook,gmail,gtalk,android market,youtube etc. dont work at all..Each of them gives an error that you dont have an active connection! All of the above does open via the normal browser on mini pro..but not through these builtin apps!

I use mine for work and sync up no problem using Moxier with my corporate exchange server.I want to also setup my personal email using another program. I have tried the stock email program (underwhelming) and K9. I cant get either one to sync with my outlook. I can set up my email address in them, and as long as my outlook on my home PC is closed I can receive emails. As soon as it is opened, emails arrive on the PC and do not show up on my phone.What am I missing? What is the terminology for what I want to do? I am running Outlook 2003, and I dont really use calendar or other functions but I want both our phones ad PC to all e in sync mail wise.

I don't want my contacts and calendar on the Google web server,
Am I really that unusual in not wanting my contact list and calendar contents spinning around the world.?
From what I've read so far there are third party applications that try to fill need, some focused on contatcs and some on the calendar.
Also, that these application add an additional, unexpected cost.
What I want is for the USB connection to provide the ability to sync with Microsoft Outlook on my local PC.
If thats not possible, it would be good to know quickly so I can take the phone back and swap it for one that will let me use Outlook.
Is there any easy way of importing my outlook contacts into my new X10 without using Moxia? Or can I download my contacts to Moxia?

With my old GSM (w380i) the sync went very fine, but with Xperia x8 there is nothing on the phone that permits me to do so, neither PC Compagnon does.how to put my contacts from outlook 2003 (PC) to my experia with a usb connection.
