Nov 21, 2010How have SE managed to make such a simple task turn into a complete shambles? My experience of SE sync are:-
1. Being told that it doesnt work over Wifi? Why the hell not?!
2. It adding mutltiple entries for the same number in the same contact
3. It adding the same contact multiple times
4. Not being able to log in
5. Now not being able to make it stop syncing (or trying!) even when I have deleted the bloody account!!!!!!!
I have never been more disappointed with ANY product I have ever bought. In Halfords today and had to end the phone call because I couldnt hear who I was talking to. Pathetic.
Sony Ericsson :: Xperia X10 Doesn't Work After Update Service
Nov 9, 2010I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and tried to use the Update Service to get the latest firmware for my phone, but after the new phone software was downloaded and started to install onto my phone it only got to a few millimeters of completing before it threw out an error saying that that it couldn't install the new software! Now my phone doesn't want to work anymore! Every time I start up the phone it just shows the x10 picture with an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle! What should I do? I need my phone working to complete daily tasks!

Oct 2, 2010So I always used timescap to update my twitter.
But now, when I try to post a new message, it just says: "can't update twitter".
The weird thing is, it does update twitter and I can receiver updates from people I follow.
This means that the account and twitter is working, but I just can't update my own status.
Then I just Seesmic, to see if it's a problem with my account. But that just works fine.
The main difference between timescape working and then not, is that I was on holiday in America.
There, it worked fine. Then I got back in the Netherlands and all of the sudden I can't update my status anymore.
While in America, my X10 updated the time wherever I went.
Back home, it didn't update the time automatically, so I did it manually.
That's the only thing I can think of that changed.
Does anyone know anything I can do? (besides restoring the phone).
I don't know if i'm the only one with this problem, if not, there must be some sort of solution for it.

Jun 19, 2010When I try to use voice dial on my X10 it does not work. Not even close, never. I either get a list of phone numbers I don't recognize (998-xxx-xxx, etc) or after clearly saying "call voice mail" it comes up with "open calendar". Do I need to train it to my voice, or does it just not work? Is there another ap out there that works? Before got this I had heard rave revews about android voice dialing, now I am very disappointed.

Dec 5, 2010Is anyone experiencing some issues with the X8,I have a few problems with the X8 which I list below.
1. Downloading MMS settings does not work.
2. Some operator messages cannot be replied to.
3. The Music player does not have Playlist!!! This is such a let down. I don't want to be scrolling all the time to play another song.
4. When the phone syncs with address book from Google it deleted the contacts!
5. In Call volume is low, and the slider displayed shows there is some more volume left but it wont move anymore.
6. Can the SW prevent crucial things from getting uninstalled. I mean there are some system apps that could be uninstalled thay may cause the phone to brick out.
7. No Alert Profile are available, either silent or audible. Nothing like discreet or extra loud.
8. The Keypad slows down so significantly when the message thread is a bit long. It gets annoying to type. Also Some words need to be unlearnt.
Am I missing something as to how the phone shold be configured or what?Other than that, the phone is awesome, great value for money. Although I wouldn't mind paying for a much higher spec version in the same form factor. I love my X8 more than this X10 or X10miniPro.

a) Speaker doesn't work in call (very weak). works well in ringtones etc.
b) Scrolling contacts by letter doesn't work.
Other than that this is a leap forward, especially with the overclock options!
Both bugs, as well as others, fixed in 1.6.3.1 update!

Aug 20, 2010Hi. I am looking for some advice with regards to how I receive calls on my Xperia X10i. Basically, the story goes as follows...normally when I receive a call I have to do that swipe thing to accept the call, however, at very random times instead of the swipe I get the option of pressing 'Accept Call' or 'Decline Call' which are displayed on the lower part of the screen side-by-side. Now, to be perfectly honest I actually prefer the latter option but do not know why it is so random. To be clear, I have never updated my phone since I got it and I have searched the settings but not been able to locate anything which would explain this.

Sep 30, 2010I just got my Xperia x10 mini pro today and so far I have noticed that my email doesn't update itself, I have to do it manually but it seems like the phone should be able to do that. I use a hotmail account on my phone and I would like to know if the email can update itself, if I have to wait for 2.1 to have this problem resolved or if it's just something that I'm missing. And sometimes the phone will say "Does not connect" when I do try to update it but it hasn't done it in the last few hours. In addition, there isn't any change in my real email account. I could read an email on my phone and still half an hour later that very same email will be considered new and unread. Is there any way to solve these issues?

Sep 8, 2010I recently got an X10 on contract but got so annoyed by the fact that the x10 does not have a calendar as I have to sync with google mail (which i don't want to do). and the phone book is also sync'd to Gmail. I have a gmail account but don't use it that much. I only use it for gtalk with a few friends, 4 to be precise. I am a yahoo mail user. I found the internet connect brilliant and the timescape and mediascape very useful.
I then went on to order a samsung Galaxy S which I had tired in-store and really loved it. The camera is brilliant.. its way better the the X10. 3/4 of the applications on Galaxy i like especially the calendar as it the major application i use. The down side is It's network coverage is so poor. It does not matter if it's indoors or outdoors. the internet connection is so slow other than that the rest is fine.
what i would like help with is whether i can have some of the applications on Galaxy like calender, mini diary, layer,and live wallpapers on the Xperia x10. OR if i can have timescape and and media scape on the Samsung instead. I would keep the samsung and put up with the slow internet connection but would really love to keep the X10 if the above can be done.

Oct 7, 2010My Timescape worked fine, but 13 days ago doesn't sync with the Facebook. I get a message: "Could not connect to the internet!" I tried with 3G and WIFI connection too. Everything works fine (for example the Twitter in Timescape or browser so the internet connection is available), only the Facebook refresh doesn't work. I tryed clear the timescape settings, and reconfig the timescape, tryed remove the Facebook account and re set, but the problem is the same. 4 days ago, I updated the phone software for the newest (R2BA026 1.1.31). I made a factory reset and made a repair with the PC Companion. I tryed remove the sony ericsson app, from my Facebook account. Still I have the problem, I can't fix it I didn't change anything, when the problem starts.
