Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Android Market Can't Use Wifi Connection

When I'm at home, I keep my 3G data services turned off. I have a wifi connection and the 3G connection isn't very good inside my house anyway. For some reason, every time I open Android Market, it tells me I have to turn on data services, even if I'm connected already to wifi, and then it keeps interrupting because of the poor 3G connection. Is there any way to force this application to use wifi? I have no problem with other applications.

im currently trying to work my new phone but to be honest i dont have a clue, it wont let me go on the net i.e facebook youtube or anything,its saying there is no network connection. Is there somwhere i turn this on or do i need to get settings fron somewhere?

having been notified that my x10 mini required an update I connected to PC using PC companion. The update failed halfway through and could not be restarted (battery was fully charged at start of update).
The phone now will not switch on and only displays a triangle with an attention symbol in the middle of it. I have tried the reset (home button and power on together) and also have tried to connect to PC companion to re-try update, however because the the phone only displays the triangle i cannot connect to PC and therefore cannot load software update. I effectively now have a very pretty paper weight.

I am a Singaporean and I fly to Dubai often for business. Couple of days back I picked up the Sony Xperia X10 Mini Pro at the Dubai Duty Free only to realise after I come home that there is no Android Market application installed on the phone! This is absolutely ridicious, why would I buy an android phone if I cannot access the marketplace? Also if this is the case, it should be clearly highlighted and not sold in places like duty free where you have visitors/travellers and not always the residents of that particular country purchasing the mobiles.

Just got my xperia x10 mini pro and it doesn't come with an android market. Something SE says has to do with my phone being bought in a region/country without an android market coverage. Is there anyway I can get this android market on my Phone. Also is it possible to download these android application on my laptop and then transfer it to my phone. If it's possible were and how.

I rooted my phone a few days ago to remove all the useless apps that the phone comes with. I basically got ride of a code reader, some stupid games, and a bunch of "trial version" applications. I just noticed now that I can't download apps from the Android Market anymore, and this is probably what caused it. Everything else on my phone still works perfectly. When I try to download an app from the Android Market, I select the app to be downloaded, press "Install", then press "OK" when it gives me the list of what the app has access to. Once I press "OK" a popup appears that says "Your Item Will be Downloaded". That's it. Nothing appears in the notification bar, and the download doesn't go at all. So I guess my question is. what would I have deleted to cause this problem? I unrooted my phone again since. Maybe a google app or something? And if so, I need the APK for it! Yeah, yeah I was an idiot, I know. Don't mention it. Here's what I've tried so far after searching this issue: - Cleared the cache and updates for all Google-related apps

Just few days back I downloaded and installed few apps from Market. But now, I can browse the apps in Market, but everytime downloading fails (for any and every app).I am using wi-fi for this. Internet works fine. I can download files (images) from my email without any problem.I did not make any changes as far as I know.

I have an issue with my Xperia X10 mini. Whenever I connect using WiFi @home it shows me that I am connected however when I try to browse internet it doesn't work. I tried having an unsecured connection but in vain. Anyone else facing similar issue or have a solution for this issue?

I have been doing a lot of browsing of sites such as youtube on my phone. I thought this was all happening via the wifi connection to my home network, however I have discovered it has been doing it from 3G as well, since it has eaten up a lot of money on my phone.
The question is how do I enable Internet browsing on wifi as default (when wifi connections are present) rather than through 3G?
This is really important since it seems to have cost me a fortune, when I could have been browsing for free at home. I have the X10mini pro and am running Android 2.1

I have owned my x10 pro for a month or so and have downloaded various apps from the android marketplace but recently apps start to download but then I get a "download failed" message, I have tried numerous times and changed settings etc but still no joy. I think this has happened since the option to buy apps appeared on the android market, I have seen other forums with users reporting similar problems whats up? and when will the problem be fixed?

I have another doubt on how to install the apps. As my handset is missing the Android Market icon in my mobile. So I downloaded to my pc and then copied to my mobile. This "7c02815a-e245-102d-a194-6ec07c99d928.apk" file for bluetooth file transfer and using data cable. I copied that file in my video folder (for self knowing folder I pasted) now I don't see that file in my mobile video folder. So how will I install? There are no icons like "Android Market", "Installer Application", or "Application Installer" etc. I am using Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro and 1.6 firmware.

Just had to reset phone due to issues and guess what i get different one this time.
My sync wont work with sony soft ware due to email not existing to a current account or pass word is wrong, Niether are due to I can log in via my pc no problems
My second new issue since the so called up date is my wifi keep looseing it connection and unable to connect again even though the passwords not change and the single strength still the same.
My point is are othe people having similar issue and is sony aware and will the soft ware update pos when ever they are going IF going to happen pos sort this out.

With the following error message I keep recieving when loading up Andrioi Market, this has only just started as I was using it over an hour ago and it was working fine
'Attention, A network error has occured. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen'
I have cleared the cache and uninstalled market updates and I am currently on 2.1v of android market.

I have updated my X10 mini to Android 2.1.Every thing seems working fine except the Android Market app.I can search, and browse Android Market.But I am failing to download ANY app from the Market.The download icon does appear; but after a while it says "download paused".I searched through different forums and found that one very common suggestion is to boot the phone by pressing "Power" and "Home" key.No luck by booting either. Can some one please suggest some remedy for the problem?

I upgraded my XPERIA Mini X10 to Android 2.1 Since then it does not connect to wifi at home. It used to connect very well in the past (in Android 1.6). Interestingly it connects to wiki in my school network. At home, it scans, finds the network, says "connecting" and goes to "Disconnected" status. Setting static IP does not work, selecting Wifi network and Connect does not work.

Upgraded my x10 to 2.1 and the improvement in battery life is brilliant. My problem is that I can get the phone to connect to my home wifi, ping it, use Skype, BUT I cannot get it to browse the net or download from the market. It is a linksys - WRT54G on firmware v4.30.2, other phones and pc have no problem.

I bought my Xperia mini here in Saudi, but unfortunately I cannot see the Market Icon on the main screen. I tried googling and they said that I might need to change the region of my phone. How do I do that? Also, I can send pictures via bluetooth but I cannot receive any files nor pictures from them. They can detect the name of my phone but they are unable to establish connection to my phone.
