I tought this was related to a glitch in the software so I wanted to restore the settings by means of the PC Companion, however this also crashes and only returns the sony ericson support email ...

But now, I can browse the apps in Market, but everytime downloading fails (for any and every app).I am using wi-fi for this. Internet works fine. I can download files (images) from my email without any problem.I did not make any changes as far as I know.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone a few days ago to remove all the useless apps that the phone comes with. I basically got ride of a code reader, some stupid games, and a bunch of "trial version" applications. I just noticed now that I can't download apps from the Android Market anymore, and this is probably what caused it. Everything else on my phone still works perfectly. When I try to download an app from the Android Market, I select the app to be downloaded, press "Install", then press "OK" when it gives me the list of what the app has access to. Once I press "OK" a popup appears that says "Your Item Will be Downloaded". That's it. Nothing appears in the notification bar, and the download doesn't go at all. So I guess my question is. what would I have deleted to cause this problem? I unrooted my phone again since. Maybe a google app or something? And if so, I need the APK for it! Yeah, yeah I was an idiot, I know. Don't mention it. Here's what I've tried so far after searching this issue: - Cleared the cache and updates for all Google-related apps
View 34 Replies View RelatedI have updated my X10 mini to Android 2.1.Every thing seems working fine except the Android Market app.I can search, and browse Android Market.But I am failing to download ANY app from the Market.The download icon does appear; but after a while it says "download paused".I searched through different forums and found that one very common suggestion is to boot the phone by pressing "Power" and "Home" key.No luck by booting either. Can some one please suggest some remedy for the problem?

I think this has happened since the option to buy apps appeared on the android market, I have seen other forums with users reporting similar problems whats up? and when will the problem be fixed?

T-Mobile only approved the update yesterday so I went to update it via PCC after updating PCC and Backup And Restore.Before I started updating, I backed it up. Now I started the updating process and I was on step 2. It asks me to remove the USB cable from the phone and turn it off. Then insert the cable back in WHILE holding the Back key. When I do this, nothing happens except PCC tells me that they can sense a Sony Ericsson phone. I've tried doing it more than 5 times and it's the same thing over again.

I checked PCC earlier because other people had successfully updated to 2.1 but it said mine was fully up-to date when I had the phone connected. In the settings, I have it set to check for updates everytime I connect the phone, and when I check for updates via the handset it says there's an update available and I should check PC Companion.I did an update anyway, even though it said my phone is fully up-to date to see if that would put 2.1 on, but it's still at 1.6.any idea why PCC is not prompting me?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got the notification on the new software update and it says connect to a PC to receive it. Then you get told to download this PC companion. So I have done. Then I notice it says no phone connected. So I click how to connect I then get to stage two and it says connect usb cable to your computer and then to your phone so I do that and nothing happens. I wait 30 seconds and nothing happens I disconnect my phone and connect it again and still nothing happens all its doing is charging my phone. I've done it over and over again and nothing happens.

Pc companion don't want to "install or start the updating components" as it says in a little message box hitting up.
i have tried several times but nothing changed.
I was having that "My phone does not turns on" problem, then I decided to repair the software. Using the PC Companion I've done all the requested steps. The problem is: when I try to restore the backup I've made I get the following error: "Could not restore files".
Even when I choose only to restore contacts, the "Applications" is also included in the restore list. Then the Contact percentage goes to 100%, while restoring, and the error message appears. I even have the backup .sbf file.
I'm so angry it's hard for me to even type. I upgraded my X10 mini pro to Android 2.1 today and I followed the instructions and the YouTube video EXACTLY step by step.I made a back-up before the update, with the updated Back-up & restore app.Now the Android update is done and i've tried and tried but I can't get my contacts back. Every time I run the restore function of Back-up & restore it tells me the restore is done, but when I go to my contacts list, it's empty.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just love my X10 mini but have problems with mms, if I send it just goes to queue and get message "unable to send" and if someone send me one I just get an empty message and it says to download, and then if I try to download it says "cannot be downloaded". When I go to settings - settings download - choose Tmobile it just says could not download settings. Retry? I've called already to Tmobile support and spent 2 hours with them and they just couldn't help me as they don't know this phone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIt keeps ringing! I had a couple of texts, which I read, then the phone just kept on ringing. Totally bizarre. I tried everything - changing the settings on ring tone etc, vibrate only, nothing has worked. The only thing that works is turning it off & on again (but when I receive another text, off it goes again!). I eventually just turned down the volume but obviously this is not practical. I drove all the way home with it ringing merrily beside me!
I saw on another forum someone else has had this problem, but no solution was offered. I tried changing the ring tone, but even after choosing another tone, it still rang with the other tone, ie 2 different rings at the same time! A friend says her blackberry does the same, and requires the text to be acknowledged. I tried this, even deleted the messages, but no joy.
My handset wont download the internet settings, this is despite me having the phone for 4 months.I have had it on the internet but when i factory reset i lost all my settings. Now i cant download the settings so is there any way i can download them through my PC or off the Sony website and if so how?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI wonder if I can change the default settings for my calendar to "no reminder" and also to create an event in my calendar called "SonyEricsson" instead of the calendar named after me (since only the calendar called "SonyEricsson" synchronizes with sonyericsson's server and my other phone). Now I have to change to these settings for every new event I create. And if I forget to change the calendar to SonyEricsson I can't switch it later for some weird reason.
If this is not possible, do you know what else I can do? Explanations how to sync the calendar named after me, delete this calendar so SonyEricsson is chosen as default or any other suggestions are welcome.

Couple of days back I picked up the Sony Xperia X10 Mini Pro at the Dubai Duty Free only to realise after I come home that there is no Android Market application installed on the phone! This is absolutely ridicious, why would I buy an android phone if I cannot access the marketplace? Also if this is the case, it should be clearly highlighted and not sold in places like duty free where you have visitors/travellers and not always the residents of that particular country purchasing the mobiles.
