Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Way To Sort Apps Into Folders?

I'm kinda new to android, and not sure if this is a handset or os thing but, when you swipe up from the bottom of the x10 screen to display all your apps, is there a way to sort the apps into folders. i.e. move all games into a games folder, put all work apps into a work folder, etc. like i said not sure if this is an os thing or if i could download an app to do it, i have done a little searching online but didn't come up with any answers.

how to sort your music on your phone. Is there any way I can create different folders with music or X10 always sorts everything by album, artist etc.? Also how do you add your own ringtons for text message notifications? Please let me know.

The address books seems to be sorted on first name as a default.

Does anyone know how to change the sort order on the AddressBook? I want to sort off the Last Name, instead of the First Name as it does by default. I cannot find the option anywhere..

I have been trying for hours to try and figure out how to get videos to load into mediascape and I have tried multiple different ways. I have copied files directly and I have used Media Go. I have converted the files to mpeg4 with many different conversion programs and I still cant get any videos to show up. Is this a known issue? Is there some kind of setting that I'm missing? I've tried to transfer files from my old phone tthat were in 3GPP format and I converted that. Also I have tried other video files that were not on my old phone and I have had no luck. I have transfered music and photos with no problem.

I managed it once through media go, but now media go won't even see the phone so I can add music and play lists to it.

Taking photos tonight and phone seems to have crashed, normally you take the battery out to sort it but you can't with this one, so how do I sort it?

Does anyone notice that when you are using bluetooth headset, the proximity sensor doesn't work? Is it a bug in Android v2.1 or am I missing something? I'm using MW-600 with X10i Android 2.1 if that matters.

Picked up my X10 yesterday from Vodafone and I am loving it! Always had SE and when I heard about this little beauty I couldn't wait to get it! My first Android phone so still getting used to it! Been reading through loads of Threads about Tone Picker and stuff and its sorted me right out, one thing which I cant do it make Folders in my Menu to tidy it up a bit? For example I wanna put all the Moxier (Calendar, contacts, Mail etc) into one folder so it looks let bogged up! Can you even add folders and move stuff?

I just got the x10 and have a few questions. This is my first android/data using phone so they are probably dumb but I just wanna make sure before I get charged any extra. First, am I correct in that if I use Wi-Fi I will avoid the 3g charges since Im using another internet source? Also do things like the MobileTV and GPS use data?My second question was about mediascape. Is there any way to move or cut/paste media into different folders so that they dont show up in mediascape but rather have their own designated folder?

I have my phone set to have Timescape as my home screen. Before I switched, I could make new application folders in the settings menu. Having Timescapes as the mohe screen, that's no longer an option. Does any one now how to create application folders when Timescape is your home screen?

My problem is nothing major but its just annoying and im looking for a fix, after formatting my phones memory card (the one that came with the phone) all the photo's that i take with the camera saved under "Camera Roll" in mediascape but are then also doubled up into an album, i was just wondering if someone would be able to tell me how to stop it the phone making doubles of the photos, the phone never use to do this before i formatted the memory card.

On the applications screen, (the one which you drag up from the bottom of the home screen), is there any way to create folders there and re-organise the position of apps? I know that you can create folders on the home screens, but this isn't what I want to do. I would love to be able to create a folder that I can dump all of the programs I will never use but which Sony will not allow me to delete, (you know the ones - moxier etc!!)

Can anyone recommend a computer software suite for XPERIA x10 which is better than what comes with phone? I'm not impressed with the application SE PC Companion. I'm using now the PC suite for Android, but too much that is not being translated into English.

I'm trying to download some free apps from the "Market", does anyone know how long items take? I've tried to download a couple of free things 2 days ago and they are still downloading?
I know my internet is working ok as I can access Yahoo email and the browser no problem so my connection is ok?
But the blue "shimmering" download bar is showing saying "Starting download" but after many many hours still nothing?
Then it stops and I've got to restart it again?
Any ideas on downloading free apps?

I'm only getting 8 on the left, 6 in the center and 8 on the right. I've seen pics of more (up to 16 per screen), but when I drag apps on, they don't stay. Am i missing something/ Search and google found me nothing.
I'm also barely making it through the day with battery life. It's only my second charge, but i had wifi/bluetooth turned off, juice defender activated in most modes, app killer working with very few apps running and the battery can barely make 16 hours. I'd would think I should be able to get 2 days out of it if everything is turned off and the phone isn't in use.

I saw that the Nexus has 512 megs of ram which on plenty to run apps. I like the X10 overall better for the 8mpx camera, but it has only 256 for ram. Is this gonna be an issues for the x10? My friend who has a Magic said that there is a way to increase the ram by doing virtua memory on the SD card...You think it will work well on the X10 1gb internal storage? How well does the apps run on SD card?

I have a small doubt about the ads popping in the free apps. The question is does it try to access the 3G/2G when their are disabled while those free apps are running in the background? I hope by unchecking the background data would be prevent them just in case they do access 3g/2g when running in the background?
