ok when i first got the phone it forced me to make a new gmail account.. so i did.. but ive already got myself a gmail account.. and dont need this one.. is there a way to change it? as ive tried the settings and didnt find any

I spell my name wrong, so want to remove that email account and register a new one, but i can't find anywhere where i can delete it, it just keeps coming up to put my email in. View 7 Replies View RelatedRecently as in the past few days I have noticed that new emails aren't giving me the status update/green flashing light as SMS messages are. The only thing I've done recently is re-flashed with the BA20 update and did a restore from Titanium backup of my apps and system info. I am getting mail, but no indicator. I have the account set to check every 5 mins and send and indication.
I sent a test email to my account and went into settings, data sync and synced gmail and the the indicator worked as it immediately found my new test email. I've received several emails in the past few days though with no indication. Any thoughts?
I want to change Google account. I tried Setting>Basic Settings>Setup Guide, but cannot click Google Account. Cannot change from Menu>Gmail too.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just try to set the an email account on my X10 mini using the "Email" app.App ask for "Yahoo", "hotmail", and 2 others providers.I choose "hotmail" and enter account and password ok it's working.(my 50 messages are tagged "not read" and there is no way to tag all of them "read", but it's not the main problem now)But it was just a test, what I want is to setup my yahoo account.THE PROBLEM IS that now, when I open the "Email" app, it opens directly my hotmail account.

I have entered my account details, I can send emails but I don't get a notification when I receive an email to my Gmail Inbox. I have checked the settings and I have setup a ringtone and selected the option to flag up an icon in the notification bar. However the only way I know I have an email is if I open the app. I have a task manager and Gmail is on the ignore list.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFew days ago i had trouble with the keyboard of my X10, it was, for unknown reason, lock in Korean and i couldn't change it.So i decided to reset my phone to factory setup. This worked and the keyboard came back to french.But now i can't access to any Google app, as Market, Gmail, etc.It's asking me to log in to my google account (it never ask me that before, even when i bought the phone), but it's always telling me that my password is wrong and advice me to connect http:/google.com/accounts on my PC. I did it and i can access to my google account without any problem.Then i updated my phone to Android 2.1, but it didn't solve anything, i tried to repair it with Update service and PC Companion, but it didn't help more.I found on internet that i could put "null" as my password, but then it's asking me to reproduce a capcha, i did but it's asking me to reproduce another one, again and again.I noticed than my phone seems to have some trouble to connect with my SIM card, don't know if it's link.I don't really want to send my phone to repair for 3 weeks, but this is becoming really annoying, what can i do ?

However, when I open an email from the phone, it would still show as "unread" when I open my Hotmail account from a laptop / computer. Is there a way this can be changed, so that when an email is opened/read on the phone, it would also show as open/read when I open my Hotmail account from a laptop?

c. is there a way to remove apps / shortcuts from home screens - seems jolly easy to ADD them, but not remove them !
Just upgraded from 1.6 to 2.1 on my X10 and now cant get Hotmail to connect up. 02 UK Contract account. I have a BT Yahoo account working fine on it, but Hotmail refuses to work. O2 have sent me the settings and I have put them in manually too, still nothing works. The phone just sits for hours with the message "checking incoming server settings".

Tried tech support, but they were of no help. Said I needed to use gmail instead. Can't change everything over at this late date. Have archived stuff in hotmail going back years. Did I load hotmail to the X10 incorrectly? Is there a way around this? They may get the phone back.

Now that I've deactivated it, I am no longer able to use the android apps, or change things within the phone because on not being able to log into that account. The login page comes up with the old account asking me for my password, but of course, like I said, it is no longer in use, and it doesn't let me change the user name as I've made another goggle account. I have tried to change things in the settings, but all I've done it seems is to have screwed it up more.
