Apr 8, 2010Have finally received my X10 and must say am very impressed with it on the whole.Am finding it fast and responsive but do get the occassional need to tap the selection again and have also experienced the 'a' issue with the keyboard.
Have got a few questions which hopefully you guys can help with as Android is all new to me having come from Windows Mobile:
*Is there a way to disable the GPRS connection as it seems to be continuously connected or is this normal with Android?
*Do you guys know of a GPRS data app that can monitor my internet usage?
*Am going to purchase 'Betterkeyboard' from the Marketplace but if I was to factory reset the handset would I be able to download the app without paying again.
still scratching the surface of Android and the X10 so haven't come across the common complaints yet e.g. low sound both incall and ring tone...

Sep 4, 2010I installed PC companion and there isn't any internet connection mode for tethering. When I plug in my K850, it shows an internet connection box, but this disappears when I connect the X10 Mini Pro to the PC.

Sep 30, 2010I ahve checked the signal strength and its fine and 3G is working but still not connection. I had a software update come through recently which told me I needed to go to the Sony Ericsson website to update it.. I tried to do this and it appears I can only update it using a PC as its not compatiable with a Mac computer (which I have). I have tried running the software update on the phone and as it can't connect to the internet it wint update anything.. so Im stuck in a circle now.

Nov 18, 2010I'm just trying to work through my phone after updating to 2.1, it's like having a new phone and starting all over again! On the new 2.1 if you got to Settings, Wireless and Network, Mobile Networks....the top two are "Data Roaming" and "Date Traffic". Is DATA TRAFFIC equivalent to the Internet/MMS application on 1.6? If I click Yes to Data Traffic it warns me that "addtional charges may apply....." etc etc. I didn't get that warning on 1.6? Is this just the standard internet connection?

Aug 24, 2010Timescape used to work fine but now everytime I try to update facebook it with "Could not update from Facebook - could not connect to the internet." I've seen discussed on other forums about the notification displaying even thouh the update was successful - in ny case it actually does fail. My phone's internet settings are unlikely to be the problem as i have had no difficulty watching HD streaming video connecting through Optus Australia 3G.
I've tried signing out of the facebook ap and also signing out from facebook in the browser just in case facbook was denying the connection - this did not fix it. I've tried deleting the timescape facebook service account and adding it again - didn't fix. I have also gone into Manage Applicatons and hit 'Clear data' for timescape - also didn't fix.

Sep 14, 2010I just bought the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and realized it cannot share internet to a computer via bluetooth or wifi. Is there any apps or anything else which enables it to easy share internet? I have found something called Android wifi tether. But this does not work for Sony Ericsson.I really need an application for this purpose and I cannot wait until Sony Ericsson's comes with the update for Android 2.1.
