Oct 30, 2010I acquired Xperia X10 for 5 days now.....Through Wifi i can connect with inet and other stuff but through mobile network i cannot surf?

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: WiFi After Update - Connect To Home-network Get That It Failed To Connect
Nov 7, 2010I've experienced quite a lot of problems with the WiFi after updating the Andriod. Everytime I try to connect to my home-network i get that it failed to connect.
The phone didn't have any problems with this before the update.
Anyone had the same kind of problem, or anyone that has a smart fix for it?

Sep 30, 2010I ahve checked the signal strength and its fine and 3G is working but still not connection. I had a software update come through recently which told me I needed to go to the Sony Ericsson website to update it.. I tried to do this and it appears I can only update it using a PC as its not compatiable with a Mac computer (which I have). I have tried running the software update on the phone and as it can't connect to the internet it wint update anything.. so Im stuck in a circle now.

Nov 29, 2010I own an xperia x10. I can access the net on my phone through GPRS only on the default browser & Skyfire. But i can't connect on any other app. tried it on google goggles, shazam, timescape, Facebook app, Tweetdeck, etc. but i couldn't connect, EVER. So has anyone else faced this prob? or any idea why is it happening. or is it that these apps work only on 3G networks?

Aug 24, 2010Timescape used to work fine but now everytime I try to update facebook it with "Could not update from Facebook - could not connect to the internet." I've seen discussed on other forums about the notification displaying even thouh the update was successful - in ny case it actually does fail. My phone's internet settings are unlikely to be the problem as i have had no difficulty watching HD streaming video connecting through Optus Australia 3G.
I've tried signing out of the facebook ap and also signing out from facebook in the browser just in case facbook was denying the connection - this did not fix it. I've tried deleting the timescape facebook service account and adding it again - didn't fix. I have also gone into Manage Applicatons and hit 'Clear data' for timescape - also didn't fix.

Aug 11, 2010For some reason my wifi wont conect to my homes wifi as of last night? i have had the x10 months and had no problems but my girlfriend bought the x10 mini yesturday, showed her how to connect it up to wifi networks i.e my own home one, then since that my x10 will not connect to mine an say unsuccessful even tho it will connect to any others. as it is very annoying having to boot the pc up to get on the web.

When I have wi fi turned off, as I can't connect when I am not in work anyway I use the usual O2 facilty however in this mode, I cannot download anything. Jun 18, 2010This month orange gave me a bill for 30 pounds extra as I used 1.5 gigs on my x10
after talking to orange on the phone for a long time, They were very help full, unlike Sony Ericsson, it turns out that while at home when my phone says its connected to WiFi, and is usually as I have tested by turning of data 3G and things on the hand set. It is still using 3G and streaming through the mobile internet.
Orange tell me its a problem with the handset and they have had a few people with the same problem. Orange kindly didn't charge me for my data use and told me to ring Sony who were very unhelpful and just claimed it isn't the hand set. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if any thing can be done. I now try to always have the 3G off but not sure if that is going to help.

Oct 26, 2010I'm new to the forum and to Android. Last week I replaced my Palm Centro with the new AT&T Xperria X10. About a week before the new cell phone arrived, I replaced our old Netgear wireless router with a new Cisco-Linksys E2000 router. All was well, except my daughter's PC (XP Home) and my other daughter's laptop (Vista), could not connect to the router. Got the new X10, and it connected without any problem.
Then - trying to get the other two computers to connect, I changed the 801.b security from WAP2 Personal to WEP Shared (One of them has an old Linksys wireless adapter that won't allow anything but WEP). Then my daughters were both able to connect, but not the Xperia. I have tried everything I can think of - no success. I changed the router security mode to disabled, and I could not connect. I changed the Xperia to Static IP - no connection. I entered the password in both ASCII text and HEX, neither succeeded.

Nov 27, 2010I upgraded my XPERIA Mini X10 to Android 2.1 Since then it does not connect to wifi at home. It used to connect very well in the past (in Android 1.6). Interestingly it connects to wiki in my school network. At home, it scans, finds the network, says "connecting" and goes to "Disconnected" status. Setting static IP does not work, selecting Wifi network and Connect does not work.
