I own an xperia x10. I can access the net on my phone through GPRS only on the default browser & Skyfire. But i can't connect on any other app. tried it on google goggles, shazam, timescape, Facebook app, Tweetdeck, etc. but i couldn't connect, EVER. So has anyone else faced this prob? or any idea why is it happening. or is it that these apps work only on 3G networks?

ive had my x10 for a month and its been fine but now every time i turn wifi off i cant connect to the internet ive tried a factory reset and it just keep getting check network settings

I had a software update come through recently which told me I needed to go to the Sony Ericsson website to update it.. I tried to do this and it appears I can only update it using a PC as its not compatiable with a Mac computer (which I have). I have tried running the software update on the phone and as it can't connect to the internet it wint update anything.. so Im stuck in a circle now.

View 4 Replies View RelatedTimescape used to work fine but now everytime I try to update facebook it with "Could not update from Facebook - could not connect to the internet." I've seen discussed on other forums about the notification displaying even thouh the update was successful - in ny case it actually does fail. My phone's internet settings are unlikely to be the problem as i have had no difficulty watching HD streaming video connecting through Optus Australia 3G.
I've tried signing out of the facebook ap and also signing out from facebook in the browser just in case facbook was denying the connection - this did not fix it. I've tried deleting the timescape facebook service account and adding it again - didn't fix. I have also gone into Manage Applicatons and hit 'Clear data' for timescape - also didn't fix.

About a week before the new cell phone arrived, I replaced our old Netgear wireless router with a new Cisco-Linksys E2000 router. All was well, except my daughter's PC (XP Home) and my other daughter's laptop (Vista), could not connect to the router. Got the new X10, and it connected without any problem.
Then - trying to get the other two computers to connect, I changed the 801.b security from WAP2 Personal to WEP Shared (One of them has an old Linksys wireless adapter that won't allow anything but WEP). Then my daughters were both able to connect, but not the Xperia. I have tried everything I can think of - no success. I changed the router security mode to disabled, and I could not connect. I changed the Xperia to Static IP - no connection. I entered the password in both ASCII text and HEX, neither succeeded.
I cannot connect my Plantronics bluetooth earphone. I have Android 2 and I am doing all the stuff, but my phone does not recon it. What to do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe phone was partially submerged, and when I pulled it out of the water it was playing a movie. Water literally ran out from the darn thing. Took it apart, blew it out with compressed air after removing the battery, and chips, then placed it in a bag of rice.
I let the x10 stay hidden buried overnight in that bag of rice in the pantry, put the chips and battery back in it next day, and fired it up with no issues. It definitely had a mind of it's own while the water was inside it! Remember this bag of rice trick. The fog cleared from the camera eye and everything. NICE! Good unit this x10i.
I've experienced quite a lot of problems with the WiFi after updating the Andriod. Everytime I try to connect to my home-network i get that it failed to connect.
The phone didn't have any problems with this before the update.
Anyone had the same kind of problem, or anyone that has a smart fix for it?
I'm having a problem with my internet connection on my SGS. It used to lock to T-m*bile, I unlocked it lastweek then use L*bara instead cause got free internet service hehe. somehow, everytime i try to use internet service it says unable to connect to internet/ network unavailable. but I tried the simcard with another phone and it was working. some friends suggest me to re-unlock it. but i donno how to re-unlock it.
