I am looking to pimp my homescreen, I have had a look at ADW launcher and I can't see how to customize the theme very good, has anyone got any good apps or widgets to make my homescreen look really good, plus is there a way to shorten the space between app rows on the home screen.

So many people may be reading this, wondering just what its all about, well, here goes.
As of probably August/September i was new in here, with no idea what to do with the X10 - through the X10 community - nay FAMILY - on this forum, i have developed from someone using basic stock icons, to well, a fully custom layout. HUGE HUGE thanks go out to X10iUser for the guidance in getting my phone here and the late night tutorial tonight lol
and to everyone else in this forum with their thoughts and ideas - whether its on what widget looks nice, or what background - keep them going, cos they bring us to the end results we dream of (well it has done mine lol)
So thats where i came to - i've modded the HTC Keyboard - which CuBz does an awesome job on explaining how to install here How to install HTC keyboard Step-by-step
and then modded with the guide from GIMPSTA at XDA here http://www.gimpsta.com/themer/main.php, the homescreens were taken from advice on widgets and apps in here Show Us Your X10 Homescreen... and the fonts from here Android Fonts... So to close it off - if you feel stupid (trust me, i did), confused or just curious about something, ask the question - after asking the question you have some idea's then share them - after you've shared them and you want to progress further - then i'm sure someone can help
Look where i took mine to from its simple beginnings in a few weeks. And if i haven't laid credit where credit is due then please, let me know and i will reference and update it. Now sod it, its 4am - i'm off to bed
I'm only getting 8 on the left, 6 in the center and 8 on the right. I've seen pics of more (up to 16 per screen), but when I drag apps on, they don't stay. Am i missing something/ Search and google found me nothing.
I'm also barely making it through the day with battery life. It's only my second charge, but i had wifi/bluetooth turned off, juice defender activated in most modes, app killer working with very few apps running and the battery can barely make 16 hours. I'd would think I should be able to get 2 days out of it if everything is turned off and the phone isn't in use.
Anyone know how to get small thumbnail pictures of your contacts on your homepage? like the ones you call often. right now its just the little default contact card with the name . HTC Dream was able to show the pictures but not xperia. weird. also while im posting might as well save threads and ask here lol....
I tried playing an MkV video file.. But its very choppy and slo-mo kind of. tried using Xandplayer and something else. no help. is there a best above all media player for x10? i had a VLC player for my old HTC dream that worked fine. I would love to watch my sitcom episodes on my phone.
im having an issue with timescape on my homescreen does not update with timescape it can leave an update saying 4minutes ago on my screen but the update be several hours old

I've tried to follow the guides in here and other forums, but when I want to change color I get an error after typing java -Xmx512M -jar colorChangev3.jar theme.zip clock=FFFF9300 date=FFFF9300 I'm using color changev3.jar. In the guides they're all talking about some classes.dex inside the service.jar, but the only thing I can find is some MANIFEST-MF

But when I do this there is no Sony Ericsson option.
I was surprised that SONY is not providing a software which enables the user to sync the Xperia X10 mini pro directly with your computer (e.g. Outlook).
After wasting a lot of time I generated an account at Sony webpage and managed all my accounts including "birthday" but now I found out that the
phone is not creating a corresponding calendar entry and therefore my phone is not reminding me for any birthday.
So I did some modding (unfortunately) to the framework-res.apk file and it worked the first time and a few other times but then I changed something and now when I turn on the phone it freezes at the "Sony Ericsson" screen before the logo. What do I do?
I tried pushing the backup framework file but it says "failed to copy framework-res.apk to /sdcard/framework-res.apk: Permission denied
However, when I use adb devices, it does show my device as being attached.
So what can I do now?
I was also able to pull files...
Also tried manually putting the framework-res.apk in the sdcard and then using adb to copy it to the framework folder. Doesnt work. Saids that the directory cannot be open for read. I guess the device cant read the SD card until it boots up.
I saw that there are already a number of discussions about sony erricson synchronization but I cannot find one for this specific message: Synchronization failed. It wouldn't tell me why it failed, it just spits out that generic message after I click "Finish" in the Sony Ericsson Sync Client Wizard.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'd like to use my X10 to keep all of my contacts' postal addresses in instead of the tatty old address book I carry in my handbag(!) I didn't fancy typing them all into the phone, so thought I would use the Sony Ericsson sync and put them into the pc first via the PC Companion sync application, and set up the sync to transfer them into my phone. I have tried a test run adding only a couple of addresses to my contacts on the pc, and adding one to my phone, but when I do a sync, the addresses don't transfer either way. I know that the actual sync is working because I added photos too and they transfer....... I must be doing something wrong that is easily rectified?

I updated to the firmware .27 just a few days ago, and i had lots of new Contacts in my phone, BEFORE i updated.
And then i updated to 27, and all my contacts were removed ( at the time i had no clue i had all the contacts on SE.com database ) so i copied my old contacts from my SIM-card, and just before i synced i saw all my mew contacts from before i updated the telephone in my database, but now when the telephone synced again it replaced all the new contacts in my database with my old contacts from my SIM-card wich i copied into the phone after the update. how i can get my old database back from SE.com `?
