I tried to update the phone by connecting it to computer thru PC companion and followed the instructions till the time it asks to disconnect the phone from computer remove battery for 5 secs and turn on again.
Now at this step the phone is not turning on and whenever i press the power key, red notification light is blinking 3 times and nothing else is happening.

After the update, all of a sudden I get the problem that as soon as I turn on WiFi I get the message "unable to scan for networks" and then it switches WiFi off.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm from Indonesia and using Xperia X10 SIM Free version that bought from Hongkong with the newest firmware.
I was living in Japan and used Xperia there without any issues, but yesterday, after I arrived at Indonesia, changed to Indonesia's SIM Card and done the SIM Card activation progress, my phone started to act strangely.
If I insert the Indonesia's SIM Card and turn on the phone, my phone will automatically shut down after the Sony Ericsson's logo appeared.
And if I just turned it on without any SIM Card inserted, it will look fine but, at sometime, like when I was confirming the setting, the phone will also shut down suddenly.
Please tell me if anyone has the idea how to solve this issue.
I can not log onto windows live messenger mobile from Xperia X10..Everytime i try to log on it ask me to log in and repeats the same process constantly...Any Solution please?

Unfortunately, she forgot the pattern that she did so she end up inputting wrong patterns and then gets locked. The phone is asking us to enter the email address (which we did - using the gmail address) but didnt work.Do you have any idea how to fix this.

In settings is indicates that I am connected to my witeless access point, but when I try to access the internet, I am told that there is no connection. Also, at about the same time, I haven't been able to turn on bluetooth. In settings again, I select turn on bluetooth. Then it goes off for a while, and times-out. Vodafone replaced by x10 xperia due to a fault and the replacement wont switch on with my Micro SD card i took out of my old phone in it. It will however, switch on with it not inserted. Has all my numbers etc on it...any suggestions ?

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy X10i keeps dropping its WiFi conection. It is in an "excellent" signal strength area. I can now see that is related to my poor mobile network coverage at home. When the mobile network signal drops, then the WiFi turns off and the turns on again, scans and reconnects. When the mobile network connects again (after a minute or two) the WiFi turns off, then on again, scans and reconnects. This cycling is happening every minute or two. Which leads to lots of frustrating network errors. Things improve if I turn off 3G and set network to GSM only.

Every time i turn on the wifi, and leave the phone idle after using an app, the connection is automatically disconnected. I did change the advanced wifi settings sleep policy to Never, but still shows disconnected. I am sure that i am well in the range of my wireless router and that it is switched on at all times. This is very annoying cause i have to turn ON and OFF the wireless adapter on my phone to regain connection to use other apps.

The only thing that I can not figure our is that when I open up an application I don't know how to close them so I am left with multiples of Apps open at the same time. This seem to run the battery down really fast, but I can't seem to find any where or anybody that knows how to close the apps when I am finishes.

I live in Denmark, and my friend with same phone and tele company have no problem updating. What I'm I missing??
I recently swapped my own X10 for a HTC Desire for a multiutude of reasons I won't go into, but my GF kept her X10 in anticipation of the 2.1 Update. She has updated the phone now, although it did take two hours and kept failing.
Anyway, she is happyish with the phone, but I still feel guilty, as it is so terribly slow, and I recommended the phone to her in the first place.
Anyway onto my question. If anyone has a HTC Desire and an X10, they may have more insight, but basically, the X10, after the update, is really slow.
I have sat my Desire side by side with her X10, and tried to do simple tasks, like go into settings, or load media scape, or add widgets, etc, and the X10 is sometimes seconds behind the Desire. I am hoping this is due to a bad install of the update but am not sure.
Everything seems to lag, pressing settings, going into the app drawer, loading the messaging app, and it doesnt always take the same amount of time to load things either. Sometimes going into settings comes up instantly, other times it takes 5 or 6 seconds. Things just seem to hang for no reason. Even scrolling the app drawer and settings screens up and down seem laggy.
We both have launcher pro installed now too, as I find it to be an amazing launcher, but the X10 with launcher pro is again miles behind speed wise, to the point of, to me anyway, almost unnacceptable lag.
Anyway, I just wondered if anyone, hopefully with both phones too, could advise me. I dont want to advise her to do the update again if it isn't going to help. I am privately hoping it is not the limitations of the X10 that makes Android 2.1 so slow, but just a bad install, but i'm not holding my breath.
I'm not good in phone software, i just want to know can X10 Update to Android 2.1 or 2.2 now? and I'm using Android 1.6 at the moment.
