Nov 20, 2010I have upgrade my Android version to 2.1, and it's very cool and so much better than previously 1.6, but I still didn't know how to install Java Application to my phone? In specification said that it supports Java through 3rd party application, I have try JBed, but I still didn't know how to use it?

Aug 23, 2010I'm really struggling with the camera on the x10. I was expecting going from tocca ultra to SE, (both 8.1) to be quite similar in quality, but this ain't the case. Picture is half the size of the screen and pics during night are awful!! Cant even seem to find the flash.

Jul 4, 2010I have been waiting and reading for months with regard to getting a new phone. I currently have an old Nokia N96 so any modern phone will be an upgrade, however I need to mae sure that the new phone has at least the same quality camer and video recorder as my N96. I had almost set my self on the Iphone 4 but luckily I waited an what a good choice that was with all the problems the iphone 4 is having. So yet again I started looking and have always liked the x10 because of its build and camera but hated it because of it having old 1.6 android and no hd recording or flash. Then suddenly I read the somone has managed to root the x10 and so im guessing that it wont be long until 2.2 with flash and hd recording and multitouch is released ?

Nov 16, 2010Why is the camera on the X10 being advertised as so good? It's clumsy, slow and awkward to use. No flash and pictures can be very difficult to take with blurring happening more times than not. One of the main reasons I choose the X10 over other devices was the promise of a brilliant camera. Sony Ericsson, can you give us any information on future updates to the camera, eg wil we ever get the flash that you promised in a 'future update' and will you ever increase the screen colours? HD video recording is a great start (I'm yet to try it out as the update isn't available to me yet), but please bring the camera up to the quality I've experienced with previous SE devices

Apart from YouTube, I can't watch anything that involves a video, and for me, that's quite a lot. Any latest news? Aug 4, 2010My last phone was a Nokia N86 8MP. Like the x10, it to had a 8.1 MP camera. Unlike the x10, the images on the Nokia seemed a little clearer, but what really sets the Nokia's camera apart from the x10's is the flash. I recently tried taking a photo with the x10 in a dark room, although the photo light seemed bright, you couldn't see anything past 5 ft, the same applies in video mode. With the Nokia that was never a problem, the flash was bright enough to light up the entire room and so was the video light. I suggest, if it's legally possible, SE have it's testers look at the Nokia N86 8MP and borrow, if not improve upon their camera, flash and video setup.

Dec 3, 2010I tried upgrading my Xperia x10 mini pro but my PC freezes at point where update tries to install SEMC drivers.
I have tried following things:
-Disabled the Anti virus.
-Inset USB cable to High power USB port.
-Reinstalled PC companion software.
I have seen one post where manually installing SEMC driver has helped. But I could not find the SEMC drivers at Sony Ericsson web site. I am using Windows XP SP3 32-bit.

Apr 22, 2012Some websites require to use Firefox and install JAVA or plugins to play movies. But when I use Chrome to open these webs and click on the guided link to download JAVA, it told me that there is no suitable version yet.
When I use Firefox to open these webs, it said there are no plugins, and didn't tell me what plugins.But I can open these movies on webs using android 3.1 or lower.
So, is it because ICS 4.0.3 hasn't supported to open webs which require JAVA or there are other ways to open these movies?

Dec 3, 2010I am planning to buy a 32 gb micro sdhc card for my Xperia X10.However, I have found tons of confusing and conflicting information here on SE forums and all over the net.To my surprise, even Sony Ericsson itself giving conflicting information regarding this.On the product page of Xperia X10 (click this link and click on the specifications), it says that Xperia X10 supports microSD up to 16GB only.Whereas the official Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper (on page no.5) says that it supports -microSD, up to 32 GB. (The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper can be downloaded from this link).Now i urge someone, preferably an SE moderator or staff, to enlighten on this matter and answer how and why SE is giving contradictory and confusing statements regarding the sd card capability and compatibility for the same product?.

Jul 29, 2010So I did some modding (unfortunately) to the framework-res.apk file and it worked the first time and a few other times but then I changed something and now when I turn on the phone it freezes at the "Sony Ericsson" screen before the logo. What do I do?
I tried pushing the backup framework file but it says "failed to copy framework-res.apk to /sdcard/framework-res.apk: Permission denied
However, when I use adb devices, it does show my device as being attached.
So what can I do now?
I was also able to pull files...
Also tried manually putting the framework-res.apk in the sdcard and then using adb to copy it to the framework folder. Doesnt work. Saids that the directory cannot be open for read. I guess the device cant read the SD card until it boots up.

It wouldn't tell me why it failed, it just spits out that generic message after I click "Finish" in the Sony Ericsson Sync Client Wizard.
