i ve got a Xperia x8 and want to synchronize my outlook calendar with my smartphone. I downloaded PC Companion, but this wasnt what I m looking for. I dont want to share my calendar with sony erricson or google or other services. I would like to copy my calendar from my laptop to my x8.

I don't know what I did - but suddenly I cannot sync my calendar with Google calendar no more?
If I go to settings/basic settings/ I cannot tap the "set up your Google account" no more?
Is there anywhere I can reset all this and start over?
I tried to use SE's calendar, but can only sync new events in the calendar that I save in SE calendar..
I have my first ever phone without buttons...Sony Experia X10i which i imported my contacts from my sim card. I have installed Sony Ericsson PC Companion on my computer and I managed to add new contacts by adding them on my pc and then sync-ing which updated the contacts on my phone! (I was proud of my achievment...I use my calendar on my phone heaps and I was wondering if I can sync that to my Microsoft Outlook Express 2007 Calendar?

With my old GSM (w380i) the sync went very fine, but with Xperia x8 there is nothing on the phone that permits me to do so, neither PC Compagnon does.how to put my contacts from outlook 2003 (PC) to my experia with a usb connection. I do not have acces to internet from within my GSM. and by the way, how and where do I install applications without having a internet connection on my phone.

Seems strange that there is a note function there but it does not download to phone.
When I sync my x10 mini it will not transfer any information from the calendar in the phone to google calendar but anything that I have entered in google calendar will show up in the phone. What am I doing wrong !?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought xperia x10 last week and since then i've been trying to download some apps and/or games but i never sucseeded. i connected with usb on the pc, i downloaded the sony ericson pc companion i tried to install appbrain on the phone i selected sync on te settings.... But i never managed to sync the phone with the pc so i can install directly from the internet or to download some apps.

I have tried it for a couple of days and it works great the best all round android phone explorer, it is free but has a donate option which to be fair.
The sony ericsson PC companion can only sync with its website and i don't want to put my contacts online. I tried this www.android-sync.com but it is at very early stage and does not work well. Heard of a companionlink.com but haven't tried it yet. Anyone tried? Any other good ones?

After wasting a lot of time I generated an account at Sony webpage and managed all my accounts including "birthday" but now I found out that the
phone is not creating a corresponding calendar entry and therefore my phone is not reminding me for any birthday.
I made a account on the community of sony erricsson so i can sync and update my data from the net.
The first sync of contacts, calander etc was oke.
But since a couple of days i cannot sync my contact with Sony Ericsson, i Tried to connect but always the same : sync failed .
Checked the internet connection and al seems working properly, gmail sync oke, all oke except the sync with Sony Ericcson.Any a idea how to resolve the problem .
Perhaps a setting but seems strange because nothing as changed since the first time.
I saw that there are already a number of discussions about sony erricson synchronization but I cannot find one for this specific message: Synchronization failed. It wouldn't tell me why it failed, it just spits out that generic message after I click "Finish" in the Sony Ericsson Sync Client Wizard.

I didn't fancy typing them all into the phone, so thought I would use the Sony Ericsson sync and put them into the pc first via the PC Companion sync application, and set up the sync to transfer them into my phone. I have tried a test run adding only a couple of addresses to my contacts on the pc, and adding one to my phone, but when I do a sync, the addresses don't transfer either way. I know that the actual sync is working because I added photos too and they transfer....... I must be doing something wrong that is easily rectified?

I had a software update come through recently which told me I needed to go to the Sony Ericsson website to update it.. I tried to do this and it appears I can only update it using a PC as its not compatiable with a Mac computer (which I have). I have tried running the software update on the phone and as it can't connect to the internet it wint update anything.. so Im stuck in a circle now.
