Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Trouble With Updating Mini Pro After Rooting

I rooted my phone to use barnacle wifi tether and titanium backup to delete unwanted applications. Now I can't install the latest updates for my x10 mini pro. I can download the software from my phone but can't install them. I also tried SE update service and PC companion. Update Service just says my phone is up to date and exits.PC companion says the same thing "your phone is up to date". I read somewhere today that you cantnot update ur phone after rooting it so I tried to repair my phone using PC companion but that failed too. I got a download error and something about checking my internet connection. I was wondering if anyone knows a way of flashing my phone with the original u20i generic uk so i can update again.

Pc companion don't want to "install or start the updating components" as it says in a little message box hitting up.

Please is it possible for me to browse the internet on my pc using my sonyericsson xperia x10 mini pro. Dont know how cause the phone doesnt support Pc suite, only Pc companion, and hence I dont know how else to do it.

I received my new x10 mini phone a few days ago and am really impressed by it.
But...
After the phone has been off, the camera works fine the first time I start it.
And if I close the camera application and start it again straight away it also works fine.
But if I wait for maybe half an hour or more and then open the camera application, the phone reboots itself.
This is very repeatable and it looks like there's something wrong in the software or so.

I recently got an x10. I want to connect to this wireless network but it requires both username and password log in information. I can't seem to find a way to adjust my wireless settings so that it will allow me to enter the information. It only lets me enter password information. I know it requires both because I have connected to it on my computer. I know that there are other networks available, but there is reason that I want to use this one.

I don't get a lot of calls...but since 2.1 upgrade I've had trouble answering them when the phone is locked. It lights up and I try to swipe the unlock bar accross to the right but it just comes back to the left. I got it once but missing calls is getting annoying.Is there anything else I can do?

Have owned an xperia mini pro for about 2 weeks now. It has a problem that every few days or so the screen locks up and becomes unresponsive and the only way to reset it is to do a battery pull. My question basically is should I take it back to the shop, or is it likely to need to have android reinstalled or something?
It did this on the very first startup after unboxing, it froze up when choosing the language setting, so obviously it is unrelated to any other apps i have installed. At the time I didnt think it was too much of a problem but then as I say, it started doing it every few days.

I am not able to copy the photos from mobile to my computer.I have tried reinstalling the PC Companion suite and also have updated to mobile to Android version 2.0.The folder where the photos reside in the mobile is not coming up in the Phone Card Memory,Can any one helpe to sort out this issue? Or Is there ant seetings option which I am overlooking?

I have just purchased an X10 mini pro, however there is no applications bar in the bottom of the screen. The following instructions therefore do not make sense:You can personalise the home screen by adding application shortcuts: 1) from the home screen, tap the applications bar2) press menu bar and tap add3) in the Add to home screen menu, select the item you want to add How do I add app shortcuts to the desktop? Where is the applications bar? I also cant find mediascape, where is this?

I have tried the app funninly enough called Photo Zoom but the quality is terrible and does not support the remaining features of the in current software such as taking photos in low light etc. Also can anyone tell me if the update will perhaps increase the ammount of bluetooth headsets that r compatible with the mini pro. I have 2 very good headsets at the moment from previous phones but unfortuneately my mini pro cannot find them.

I have a mini pro...i had issues earlier as i didnt have an active data connection on my mini pro..but nw as i have it...not one inbuilt app is working! Facebook,gmail,gtalk,android market,youtube etc. dont work at all..Each of them gives an error that you dont have an active connection! All of the above does open via the normal browser on mini pro..but not through these builtin apps!

I'm in South America, and I bought my X10 Mini in a sales opportunity for a low price but branded for one company.I want to debrand it, but i want to know if in the future, when the 2.1 Android Patch is released... will i have any trouble? Or maybe it's probable I lose the debranding?

I have hundreds of friends on facebook so when I got this phone, i was expecting tonnes of updates on Timescape. All I'm getting are small notification such as someone uploading one picture to their profile. I don't see any status updates at all.

I have a peculiar problem with updates for Facebook in Timescape.If I enter Facebook directly all updates are shown fine. However, there have been no updates to facebook posts in Timescape for 2 days - setting is set to update per hour. If I click through one of the old posts in timescape it shows me a Facebook login screen - but whenever I type in my Facebook login it flicks back the emailaddress/phone number to show my phone number rather than my username!?

My Timescape widget is not updating and still shows an SMS I received almost a week ago as the most recent message with caption "2 hours ago". I have changed my facebook updates to "Update automatically = never" and not included in the main spline, but have SMS and emails regularly appearing which is what I want to see in the widget. Anyone else got similar issue, or even better anyone 'had' similar issue and found a fix they'd like to share? At the moment it's a big waste of screen space.

iv been trying to update my x10 all evening with no luck i have the latest companion downloaded iv backed up my data iv disabled my anti virus software still no good. i live in the republic of Ireland and im with the meteor network! im currently on 1.6 android platform! i get as far as step 2(prepare) on the phone software update but it just says INSTALLER ERROR UNABLE TO INSTALL OR START PHONE SOFTWARE COMPONENTS

I got question from SE PC Companion if I wanted to update. I updated, and followed every step. But when I restart my X8, I've lost all data, and I still got android 1,6. The Backup app wont Recovery my data, even if I saved it.

I recently went through a process recommended by Sony Support to download latest software update to my X10 (depite the fact that the inbuilt update process repeatedly informed me I had the latest software.) Now when i use the inbuilt procedure od SETTINGS/About Phone/Software update/ Update Now (with the WiFi & mobile networks setting selected) my X10 helpfully tells me "your phone will now search to see if any new sofware is available". After a few seconds it then informs me "Could not update - network error".

i successfully debranded my rogers x10a to a generic x10a firmware. but for some reason i cant seem to update it to R1FA016. both ota and sony update software keeps telling me that my phone has the latest software. i was wondering if any1 faced similar issues and if there is a solution to this problem.

I planned to but it tomorrow. My prime use is in business, earlier one was E63, lost.Mini Pro is a great one: Qwerty, android, Camera, small (Well, I dont know many cons...may be powerless battery may be one)Now can I download MS Office to this one?I need to 'import' MS Word template pages (Quotation forms to be filled appropriately to each customer to send Quotes in business).And also keep accounts details with many customers, to be updated frequently. Is this kind of 'laptop' jobs possible in it?I know a E63 or E72 or BB is most suitable. But I love it's above addl. qualities.

I bought my xperia mini pro 2 weeks ago, and it never be able to install any applications.
There is no android market icon on home screen so i searched "android market" on internet and using internet browse version.
I can access android market (androidzoom?) and find applicatin, but it says " yo do not have permission to open this page. market://~~~(url)".
I can do nothing without applications...

my x10i crash after updating to 2.1. I try to run repair but once it reach to download stage it says there is no update available for your phone please try again later. I try to restore operating system since one week but no luck. Currently when I power on Sony Ericsson logo will appear then it became dark screen. please extend your support in how to rectify this issue as soon as possible.
