I'm having an Xperia X10 and I like most of the features though some things annoy me just like this. The phone automatically locks itself after an call. This is becoming really irritating when you want to make few calls and every time you have to unlock and then call, then unlock again. How can we disable this so that I've to lock it manually?

I'm just wondering if there is any way of turning the screen autolock off on my xperia 10 mini? It has always been an option available on other phones, you can either lock the keys manually or set an auto lock for them to lock after like a few seconds or minutes etc. Yet this seems to be missing from the x10 mini. I don't mind the screen switching off (to save battery), that happened on my last phone, but the keys (screen) didn't lock at the same time, you just tap the screen to 'wake' the phone again, and it should wake in its previous setting too, such as in the messages folder, or on a internet screen, or on the music player etc. Its kinda frustrating when you are in a lengthy text conversation and they reply just after the screen goes off and you are forever unlocking the phone when it is just sat on the desk in front of you. Same as if you are reading a document and you put the phone down then have to unlock it again when you come back to it. Its kinda annoying. I am more than capable of locking the phone myself when I want to put it in my pocket. Anyone else got any tips? I want to avoid putting the screen time out on 'never' because then I'll be forever locking the screen to conserve battery (and no doubt someone will text just after I lock it.

I suggest for everyone who agrees with me to start their own discussion and flood the board - I am so fed up with this as I have had the phone since March and its simply ridiculous!

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I receive incoming calls, the caller, and even the phone number, doesn't appear to me, that is, the caller always appears as unknown. This means that I don't know who my missed calls are from if they don't get to voicemail. This isn't because of privacy settings on the other phones, I know, because some of the people have public numbers. Does anyone know what's causing this? And if you do, is there a way that I can fix it?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently bought this phone from Rogers (I still have a week to test this thing out to make sure it's not broken) I'm noticing that answering incoming calls can sometimes take up to 20 seconds before the other side can hear me! I can make calls and people can hear me as soon as the call begins but I'm answering the phone after it has shut itself down (I mean the screen goes dark and then I need to slide the slider on the screen to answer the call) SOMETIMES there will be a few seconds delay, sometimes nothing but I've had up to 20 seconds delay on multiple occasions I'm running 1.6, and from the sounds of it, we won't get 2.1 until next month but is ANYONE else getting these issues? Should I return this phone for another? This is inexcusable and I am having too many callers hang up the phone on me because they think they have a bad connection but in reality there is a delay before they can hear me.

I would like to set up the phone so it defaults to mobile phone numbers for text messages, so I don't accidentally try to send a text message to a landline.I have fiddled weith the phone for ages, but haven't yet found the option to do this.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHas anyone had the same problems with their X10's as me? When trying to make a call (to landlines or mobiles) my phone often cuts out with a 'beep'. Sometimes its after no rings, sometimes after 4+ rings and even sometimes after the call has connected. Each time, after i call the person back, it connects without a problem.
I've taken the phone back to the shop where purchased for a repair and tried factory resets and software updates but with no success. Any ideas anyone? I'd love to get this fixed because this fundamental flaw (possibly just with my handset) is ruining my X10 experience.
Both my x10 phones have problems ending calls..sometimes you have to push end call a few times and people say they can still hear me when the call as ended...have to be careful i dont say anything nasty about anyone straight after calls ..

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a X10 Mini Android Terminal. The phone is very useful and delightful but i can't find how to delete some calls from the registry (answered, missed and dialed). The Phone just gives me the option to delete all the registry.
Can I delete some calls without erasing all of them?
If it's not possible with the phone itself, Is there another way to do it? Maybe dowloading an app from the Android Market?
My x10 has over the past day started cutting all my calls both in and out after about 30 seconds when i look it says there is no sim recognised then a few seconds later it's fine again, also when i try to do a backup it says there is no memory card registered even though i can access things stored on it when it's plugged into my laptop.

But both these methods have not helped. Able to use WAP/GPRS but calls are not getting connected. Have tried to change the call waiting settings, phone says Network or Sim Card Error.Signal strength is also pretty decent (3-4 bars). I have tried my sim in other phones Nokia, Samsung, and it works perfectly fine.Have tried other sims on X10 and they too are showing the same error. Can't figure out what the problem is?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter a couple of days the phone is unable to make or receive calls, or send or receive txt messages.If I try and make a call it attempts to start the call, but immediately comes back with unavailable. Incoming calls go straight to voicemail. Outgoing txt messages don't work. What is strange is that if I try and browse the web (over 3G) then that works fine! I have tried doing a network scan again, and reregistering to Tmobile, but that doesn't make a difference.
If I turn the phone off and on again, then it is fine and all calls/txts are working again. I have seen this 4 times now with my phone. It doesn't always happen, but it has happened a few times now which is worrying. The annoying thing is that you obviously don't know when incoming calls stop. You only find out the problem has occured when you attempt to make a call or send a TXT.
Recently bought the x10 and I am still getting used to it. One thing I have noticed is that when a caller not on my list is calling, I only see the number. When I plop my sim back into my old shitty LG VU, I can once again see the number and the name registered to it. Is this an x10 thing?

I have tried phoning my mobile from a land-line and I usually get through and from that point on the other person can also get through to my mobile
Have I done something wrong or have a setting set incorrectly?
I'm missing calls as people cannot get through to me.
