Just this writing, I was answering an incoming call and the phone just auto shut down and rebooted. This is not the first time thoug, happens 2-3 times with 2-3 weeks inverval.

I recently bought this phone from Rogers (I still have a week to test this thing out to make sure it's not broken) I'm noticing that answering incoming calls can sometimes take up to 20 seconds before the other side can hear me! I can make calls and people can hear me as soon as the call begins but I'm answering the phone after it has shut itself down (I mean the screen goes dark and then I need to slide the slider on the screen to answer the call) SOMETIMES there will be a few seconds delay, sometimes nothing but I've had up to 20 seconds delay on multiple occasions I'm running 1.6, and from the sounds of it, we won't get 2.1 until next month but is ANYONE else getting these issues? Should I return this phone for another? This is inexcusable and I am having too many callers hang up the phone on me because they think they have a bad connection but in reality there is a delay before they can hear me.

I wish u could just press the home key twice like I did on the htc dream. Even rooted xperias still have slide unlock?

Her exact words to me today were: "I need to know how to shut the screen off on my xperia x10 during a call sometimes it shuts off, sometimes it doesn't...when it doesn't, it causes me to perform a TON of unwanted tasks like adding a contact, changing the wallpaper, etc. when it hits my cheek."
When listening music, using Mediascape, I get an incoming call. When I accept it, music stops and I hear the caller. But the built-in mic doesn't seem to work when I have the headphones still plugged in? So the caller can't hear me talk... Is this a setting I have overlooked? Does anyone know how to keep the built-in mic working when I have just headphones (Sennheiser IE7 without mic obviously) plugged in?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am having an intermittent problem where callers can't hear me for 6-10 seconds when they call. This is a t best embarrassing and frequently they hang up. As I say the problem is intermittent - sometimes the phone answers as usual. Interestingly, I can hear them talking (and usually saying 'hello? hello?) but they can't hear me and I just keep saying hello until they hang up or until the sound kicks in and we can converse.
I did a factory reset with no improvement, and have also downloaded the PC updater and updated the system with no improvement. Then, I spoke to a friend the other night who described an identical problem with his X10.
on my Xperia 10 after upgrading to OS 2.1, I lost the ability to press the on/off button on top to ignore a call which would also send it to any "forward when busy number".Anyone have a suggestion of what will do that now?

View 27 Replies View RelatedPerhaps stupid but in android 1.6 together with the wifi and gps there was a icon to select the sound on/off/vibration know after update to 2.1 i can't find a fast way to change de sound to off or vibration except via the setting menu.
Is there a widget or perhaps a link so you can put it on one of the screens.
I'm from Indonesia and using Xperia X10 SIM Free version that bought from Hongkong with the newest firmware.
I was living in Japan and used Xperia there without any issues, but yesterday, after I arrived at Indonesia, changed to Indonesia's SIM Card and done the SIM Card activation progress, my phone started to act strangely.
If I insert the Indonesia's SIM Card and turn on the phone, my phone will automatically shut down after the Sony Ericsson's logo appeared.
And if I just turned it on without any SIM Card inserted, it will look fine but, at sometime, like when I was confirming the setting, the phone will also shut down suddenly.
Please tell me if anyone has the idea how to solve this issue.
I try to shut down the phone to charge it but it keeps re-starting itself. I plug it in, power the phone down and it restarts. Same when I plug it in when it is already off. Is this normal?

This means that I don't know who my missed calls are from if they don't get to voicemail. This isn't because of privacy settings on the other phones, I know, because some of the people have public numbers. Does anyone know what's causing this? And if you do, is there a way that I can fix it?

Using a Galaxy S4 with Android 4.3. I use the swipe feature to unlock the phone.
If the phone is unlocked when I answer an incoming call, I can use all of the phones features, including Mute, Speakerphone, etc.
However, if the phone is LOCKED when I answer an incoming call, I cannot unlock the phone. Pressing the main button does not bring up the screen to enter my password. It just stays blank. Therefore no Mute, no Speakerphone, no access to contacts, etc. By default, you can't even end a call! If someone called me and just put me on hold, I would have to pull the battery to hang up. Fortunately I have set the power button to hang up calls, but that doesn't really fix the overall problem.
So, how do I get the phone to at least let me unlock it when in this situation.
I upgraded to KitKat 4.4.2 (Samsung Galaxy S4) and the "touch to answer" is enabled again.
How can I disable this? Even I have Easy Touch Mode "unchecked" it still answers only with tapping.
When I used Android 4.2.2 it was working fine. I don't want to use this !!!!
When I used my radio and wanted to turn it off it didnt work. I yanked out the headphones when it was on. after that the radio hanged in ON mode. I had to shut down the phone and restart it to fix it!

I can make phone calls, receive calls, ditto with texts messages. I have Data roaming on, Network Mode GSM/WCDMA preferred set, and have a connection to a local Belgian GSM provider.But anything to do with the internet does not work. Like set up connection to my email address, or create a Gmail account, or use my browser.So what's up? Do I just need buy something from my Israel Orange when I get back there? was on a call and it dropped (cut off) 3 times in 10 mins and the ear felt a slight piercing pain and the phone is getting warm. Is not a good sign.
