I am a new SE user and am still getting to grips with using the phone's features. Could anyone advise how to transfer a call from a headset back to the phone and phone to headset? Whilst I am asking inane questions, is it possible to use the phone i.e. return to menu when in a call?

Is this because the phone comes with version 2.1 and the headset is only 2.0. Is there any option to go round this problem, or should I get myself a new 2.1 version headset.

On my old Nokia I could rename the headset so that I could recognize it by name rather than having to switch it on and wait for the X10 to find it and connect.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI purchased an x10 last week which came with a mw600 blutooth headset and i discovered a very annoying bug . If u use the headset with only the Bluetooth on then it works fine however if u turn the wlan on then the Bluetooth and try to connect the headset u will then get a connection only for 2 sec then disconnects
Did anybody face the same issue? It seems the wlan signal is affecting the Bluetooth were it causes frequent disconnection to the headset
Does anyone notice that when you are using bluetooth headset, the proximity sensor doesn't work? Is it a bug in Android v2.1 or am I missing something? I'm using MW-600 with X10i Android 2.1 if that matters.

When the phones visibility is on (form a poxy 120 secs) no other phone in my house can find it or send it any files etc. Is there a general problem with bluetooth on this phone that i am unaware of?

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust a bit of a weird happening, when I got the phone out of the box I transferred all the contacts over via Bluetooth with no issue. I have since updated Android 1.6 and again repaired that update and lost all the contacts. Now when I try to Bluetooth them over I just get all the names and no numbers.
Is there anyway I can fix this? I tried getting all the contacts onto the sim card, but no luck.

I'm having trouble retrieving / viewing the call history (X10) with a bluetooth connection to a built in car kit.i.e. missed / incoming / outgoing.The only option I get is phonebook and then have to scroll through to the required number.Have I missed something? Is this feature supported (can't find anything in the user manual) or will I need to use an app?I know the car kit supports this feature as my work Nokia (basic phone only) is fine.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSE and all X10 user, it's so great after the x10 had officially released the androind 2.1 OS,but there are few problems that i had experienced which really irritates me and disappointed me.
1) i'm not sure anyone of you has experience what i'm having here. while i'm typing the message, most of the time the qwerty keyboard's key will stuck and keep pressing even though my fingers are not touching on the screen, e.g while pressing the spacebar, it wil keep continue pressing... the most irritates me while i'm pressing backspace key it's stuck and what i've type previously all gone just that way.
2) i'm used to typing with chinese sms, while the words that i want to use was not in the small bar, there's a key to show all the words i want from the page. i scroll down and saw the words i want, but it's unresponding toward my touch, not only the words i want, but also the remaining words below the page.. why? wish you guys will be able to understand what i'm trying to say.
3) my headset was come in the box originally with my x10i, during the android 1.6 OS the button on the mic is able to answer/hang up the call.. but after updated to android 2.2, that button is not anymore useful,why?

My phone told me I had an update to download, so I did, and I was pleased to find my wi-fi holds a lot better but not so pleased to discover my official headset is now not a compatible accessory apparently! I'm on an X10 mini locked to Orange. Funny thing also is that the phone doesn't seem to know what Baseband version it is :S
I cant find any news about this update anywhere! Anyone else had this yet?
When listening to my music and an incoming call comes in, you cant hear the ringtone in my headset. The only time you hear it is when you press the button to accept the call for about 1 second.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone is having trouble transferring my contacts from the address book to the cars Nav system. Oddly enough, it worked once and never again. For some reason, it is only able to transfer 2 random contacts off of my phone, and stops there. For reference, it worked perfectly with my Blackberry and other non-Android phones. Here is some information:
Phone: HTC Evo 4g
Software version: 1.32.651.6
Car: 2010 BMW 650i (comes with iDrive)
I have tried un-pairing and re-pairing the phone and it hasn't behaved any differently. I noticed the phone recognizes the car as a Bluetooth Headset, which I suspect may be causing a problem. I have also tried changing the phones Bluetooth name. When I look at my Blackberry, it says the BMW supports the following services: Handsfree, Object Push, AVRCP. The Blackberry recognizes the car to be different from a normal headset.
My Xperia X10 play the ringing sound in external speakers and headphones when I have the headset connected. The same happens when I use headphones and car navigation, the sound coming out of the external speaker and headset simultaneously. If I use Bluetooth or regular headphones, the experience is the same.

And since they both have bluetooth capabilities it should be possible to use it in this manner, right? I do not want to use one of those hideous, uncomfortable bluetooth headsets because im already going to have a bluetooth device (the phone) with me that im more comfortable using. I have a plantronics pro uc bluetooth headset which syncs up with my phone. I can send SMS and remote access the phone (too slow and clunky to make calls fast and simply).
What I want to be able to do is dial a number from my computer and my phone start call it. Essentially just want the phone on my computer. Paste a number in/dial it etc... click a link and the app/whatever call it.
(P.s. a remote desktop is not the solution as it is too slow - I tried that with MyMobiler. I have a skype number and can pay a small fee for unlimited landline calls but would have to pay for mobiles so this isnt a solution either).
