I have deleted some text messages that I need recover. Do I go through Verizon to get them (if i even can...?) or is there a recovery I can do to find the messages I deleted?

I'm not totally sure why, but I want it back. I dragged and deleted it by mistake trying to drag from one page to the other. Can I get it back?

I can't see a thing though, but if I write a text I can write a name and details will pop up? What happens?
So I can type a name in ph-no and details come up, but I can't choose the Contact itself ?
Are there any other apps that I need to use as it worked fine in 1.6 ?

1. Phone security - I've just moved from my Sony Ericsson C510 and have had other SE phones over the last 4 or 5 years and all have had the option to have a SIM lock and a phone lock, so basically you enter two pins at startup. I have managed to set the SIM lock on my X10 so it asks for a code at each startup, but the only other options I see for a lock are the pattern drawing thing, which admittedly I haven't attempted to set up yet. Is there anything where I can enter a code-based phone lock like on my old C510?
2. I have managed to transfer all of my contacts from my C510 using the send-all option over bluetooth, but is there anything I can do to transfer all of my texts to the X10?
3. Wallpaper. On all of my previous SE phones, it has always given me the option to use either a standard picture size or a maximised size for my phone wallpapers. On the X10 it forces me to crop my picture to a size which is not ideal! (e.g - if i wanted a pic of someone as my wallpaper, it would probably just cover their eyes!) To make this worse, once the selection is selected, the wallpaper is horribly zoomed and blocky. Surely I am doing something wrong and this can be resolved??
4. Where is the file system? Unlike my previous phones there is no file manager.
5. Is it possible to switch apps when they are running? If I am running an App, Opera for example, and I press the back/home buttons, the only way I can get back to opera is to goto the main menu and click on it. Surely it should be running in the tray at the top (like ebuddy does when I run that, even after I've pressed back/home
I have an unlocked Rogers X10a that I use on At&t. Ive been told by a few people that when i send out texts they receive blank ones.But on my side it shows them.Has anyone else had this problem? Any way to fix it?

As I have 2 simcards (I'm abroad), I need to know what time the texts actually come through, not when I get them when I switch my phone on. This happened with my old phone but not my new xperia.

I deleted a lot of he filler apps but i also deleted skype in the process. Is there a way to get it back? Also my phone is horrendously slow now, the opposite of what the root was supposed to accomplish, i even had a 2200 quad benchmark score. Now my pages and downloads take forever. I thought there woulx be a way to get back to defaults to solve the problem. I unrooted too using one click lag fix and nothing changed for the better.

It was working fine yesterday, but then out of nowhere it stopped working, I've been asking friends from different carriers, emails, etc to send me TXTs and MMS but I still can't receive them, I contacted my Network and they did OTA update, I even did it manually deleting the APN searching for the network etc. but same issue, I can send txts/mms but I can NOT receive them. any suggestions?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am very disappointed with all my inbox messages deleted & moved to trash! ,, & am shocked to have not found a reasonable justification to this, whether on Google Support Forum or here on Android's.Ever since I used the E-mail application on my Android [v 1.6] Sony Ericsson - Xperia - X10 phone, all my Email messages moved to trash & God only knows if something is forever gone.It even changed the filters & their settings.The problem is common among other users but the causes are different.Why would IMAP do this? why isn't anyone justifying this?I demand an 'undo' for all this & a justification. In God's name, I am not going to fix this manually, am I? If so, this is an incredible huge waste.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi had to turn off the settings for the Mobile Networks MMS and data because it automatically connects to my provider and I am being charged and this usually happens when I touch on Timescape. I just dont know if its connected though but after doing so, after sometime my Messaging system prompts me up a message saying that there was an error (android.system.mms) and it needs to fore close and then after that all of my messages were automatically deleted including the message updates in the splines. I already went to the Service Center and the only thing they told me was it will be okay once I have updated to the new version which is the 2.1.

View 7 Replies View RelatedFormatted my SD card yesterday and was cleaning up the internal memory of music as well since I was having issues with duplicate playlists etc. Just recieved a call today and noticed it wasn't my normal ringtone. I go to contacts(any of them) and see there is only one option for a ringtone. So unless there is a virus on my phone, I've accidently deleted my stock ringtones. Anyway to get the rintone folder back on the phone short of doing a complete reinstall of the OS? Take it back. My ringtones are still on the phone on the internal memory. I can play them fine in Mixzing/stock player, but are not showing up when I click on contacts/ringtone etc..

Your phone has an internal cache where it stores this information. Sometimes this cache gets out of sync. You can delete this cache by looking for an application called "Media Store" (or similar) in "Settings->Applications->Manage Applications". You may have to press the menu button and change the filter to show all applications. Once you find "Media Store", open its options page and select "Clear Data". Then reboot the phone to force the cache to be rebuilt. Also, try searching your storage for *.m3u files, delete any of these files that are not in the "syncr" directory.
Well i accidently deleted all the contents of my 4gig micro sd card that came with my htc desire mobile.
all pre-installed folders that were on there are all gone.
my phone is VERY new, and I am VERY confused with most of it. However, on my home page there is (WAS) a text messaging icon, a voicemail icon, a browser icon, and then a market icon. Somehow a second text messaging icon showed up. So there was my normal original text message icon, and then a larger one above it. So I tried deleting one of them, it would not work, so i tried the other one, did not work. Then I turned off my phone and turned it back on and now they are both gone. I tried hitting menu, then add, then motorola widgets and then messages, but the only option for a text messaging icon is the red message icon, i was the actual text message icon, HOW DO I GET IT!!?? It's bugging me very badly.

But the messages are showing up still in the messaging app, ( i thought i enabled only gosms) and of course, when i delete them, they get deleted in gosms too
