I'm a long time WinMo user and I switched to Android recently. Bought Galaxy some two months ago. I like it. However, I've never owned an iPhone, in fact, I never even used an iPhone. So I am curious as to how the Galaxy compares with Apple's product. If someone has had extended experience with both, I'd appreciate your comments.

710Mhz - 3034ms
614Mhz - 3526ms
528Mhz - 3813ms
This values are normal for the I7500 ?
A big reason for getting the i7500 is for the 5MP camera, something the iphone/HTC is lacking but looking at the video from the i7500 (at the end of this review) Im rather concerned! Do you think this is the fault of Android? How does the video quality compare to the Magic for example?

I have been trawling around these forums for a long time, and firstly wanted to say thanks to all of those veterans around here passing on their knowledge - its guys like you that make this place work.I wanted to start an official screenshot thread - in part to compare, show off, and get ideas, but also in order to allow newer members to ask questions about certain home screen widgets, what does what, and how things can be made so pretty! It took me a long time and lots of research to get mine how it is, and it would be great if we can help others achieve this a little more easily. In particular, i want to thank Drakaz for his amazing work on Galaxo 1.6.3 - anyone who is using his firmware and has the means should seriously consider a small show of gratitude; he saved me oodles of cash by improving the galaxy to the point that when i was about to give up on it and buy a new phone i didnt have to as he make it usable. So without further ado, here is my overclocked Galaxo 1.6.3.1 Samsung i7500; any q's at all, feel free to shoot Btw, one last thing - i just thought it would be interesting to note that uploading these screenshots has mate me realise how truly awesome the Galaxy OLED screen is. My PC has an excellent high resolution LED backlit screen, but has no where near the contrast or vibrancy of my galaxy screen. On my PC the background and general theme does not look anywhere near as good as it does on my phone.
View 17 Replies View RelatedHas anyone been able to compare the Galaxy S and the Evo firsthand? I canceled my Evo order to see what the S Pro will be like. On paper I feel that except for the Evo's slightly bigger screen the Galaxy S has better features including better screen technology, but as we've heard with some peoples' Evos there can be hidden issues. Any thoughts? I guess it's not really possible to do a side by side comparison yet unless someone has one of the handsets and travels to a country where they're selling the other one, or has had a chance to use a prototype.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am starting to regret my purchase of the Samsung Moment, I dont know if its with the Lacking OS of 1.5 as I see 2.0 on the website the interface is different with the phonebook, the way the screen looks. I still have yet to figure out how really this phone is the "same" or compares to the IPhone ... in simple ways of application use, I still see my friends on their I Phones talking to millions of people with in a 5 mile range to a 100 mile range on all these social applications.With also that in talk of Applications why is it when i try to get a NEW! or POPULAR! application I have the wrong OS I am starting to think I should of held out for the Nexus unlocked cause I think that is the only one you can get that does everything. I was really hoping for a socialized phone not a traveling phone. I will say it is handy ,when you go into the store to compare prices or when you go on a long trip finding restaurants,gas stations and such but the I phone helps everyone connect and thats what I really would like to see a SOCIAL app for ALL android USERS together!

Has anyone tried they galaxy with "iPhone compatible" earphones?I've tried the Klipsch s4i and they did not really work with my phone. The sound would be 'hollow' unless you held the middle button (call answering button) on the earphones. Is this an OS limitation?I just bought UE triple.fi 10vi, and I'm wondering if they would work.. they are kind of costly.. so.. I'm just hoping that the s4i was an odd-off case.

View 21 Replies View RelatedI was originally going to get either the HTC Hero or Motorola Droid but found out they are both CMDA. and the Milestone is out of my budget. People have been suggesting to get the Samsung Galaxy S, that's also out of my budget and looks too much like an iPhone. So i stumbled upon these two phones.I'm leaning more towards the Spica because it has superior battery life, and 800mhz compared to the 528mhz the i7500 has. and it can also play DivX.What's making it a difficult decision is the i7500 has an AMOLED Screen. It can display 16,777,216 Colors while the Spica can only display 65,536 Colors I'm not too sure if that will make a difference. Also it has 5mp w/LED Flash while Spica is only 3.2.One phone has a little of both. This will be my first Android phone I'm coming from a Sony Ericsson W995.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi think my gt-i7500 is bricked. i downloaded the 1.6 firmware(.tar) along with ODIN.. set up the downloading mode and used ODIN to flash it to 1.6. ODIN showed PASS in the window but the phone refuses to boot up. It remains frozen with the SAMSUNG sign. Recovery mode is not working either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought Galaxy i7500 and have problems. in connecting it with my computer for transferring music files and photos and in trying to update it. I downloaded the latest NPS (1.3.0 IJ1) My device hafirmware 1.5 and Baseband version: I7500XXII7
I enabled the usb debug mode and when I connect the phone to the computer, it says new hardware found but then it cannot find the driver. I point it to the Samsung directory but it says "Windows was unable to install your Unknown device"..............
