Is there a setting somewhere in the stock browser that will force pages to open in full version instead of the mobile version?
how can i get my browser to go to the full site instead of jumping straight to mobile versions of the site?
View 2 Replies View Relatedjust bought my Droid on Sunday after the underwhelming Nexus One release. I'm using the Dolphin Browser and struggling to figure out how to get back to the mobile versions of sites. I know it was sending me to the mobile engadget site there at first, but lately I can only get to the full site. I'd really rather see the mobile one for loading time purposes. I remember on my Hero there was an option buried in the menu for this, but I can't find it on the Droid. Does it matter that I'm in Dolphin instead of the stock browser? And doesn't AndroidForums have a mobile version as well? Can't seem to get to that either.

With the Dolphin browser, is there a way to "force" a website to load as a FULL/normal/regular html website rather than as an m.site.com mobile website?
For example, when I try to navigate to eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices I am ALWAYS redirected to m.ebay.com
Is this a setting within the Dolphin Browser or is this controlled by the website itself??
I looked through the settings and could not find a preference to chose between mobile and "full html" site options
I am using unlocked version T-mobile Vibrant in INDIA.
You must be aware that apps like amazonmp3, kindle, slacker will be of NO USE here
I have already Rooted my device + having Root Explorer installed.
Can someone please help me to remove these apps from my phone.
I spent the night working on an update.zip for everyone, I know the likely of it being used is far and between, but wanted to give people Option's for flashing as well being able to flash on the go like I do
Before we start, I installed the Factory Rom here > True Stock 2.1 firmware for vibrant - xda-developers
This likely don't matter, I just flashed based on Reports it had better signal.
To boot Downloader Mode, Power off Phone!
Hold Volume up + Down & Hit the Power button ( Do not Hold the Power button, only Both Volume Key's )
Secondly, I had Flashed this Root method here > Root your Vibrant - xda-developers
To Root my Phone before I started
You can also boot into Recovery by Holding Volume Up + Power
From this Point, I installed Koush Rom Manager app & selected Vibrant when asked ( P.S. Huge fan of Koush's work ).
After I had downloaded the Recovery via Rom Manager, I booted into recovery and ran the update.zip which booted me into ClockworkMod Recovery mod.
Once inside ClockworkMod the Power button on my Phone no longer Select the Option you are wishing to use, I did however Noticed that the back key ( Next to the Search ) did however work for making selection via Menu.
For now, this update will not flash the zImage, I'll be adding that in the Next update, or trying to once I get more familiar with the Phone.
Is it possible using the stock browser to not go to a mobile website? When I search certain websites it gives me the mobile version.
is there any way to block this and make it only go to the web version or atleast hide the fact from the internet that I am on a mobile device?
I have checked and changed settings back and forth, rebooted, etc. It doesn't happen to all sites, but IS happening more frequently on a variety of sites I regularly browse. Even if I take the "m." out of the address, it still happens.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince JC6 is a leaked fw I don't think Google will whitelist it so all apps will be available in the market. I know that Galaxo 1.6.2 enables a full market but somehow I can't seem to do so in 'stock' JC6. I'm running stock JC6 with IH8 baseband.
I searched the threads on this matter and only thing that comes close is this post from Kam. Somehow I can't change the fingerprint without adb remount. Is busybox required to adb remount?
Anyway is there any way to enable full market in stock JC6 with IH8 baseband without having to install Galaxo?

View 9 Replies View RelatedWas talking with the T-mobile tech support rep (after learning the Vibrant does not support UMA to use wifi calling at home) and she told me about the upcoming back to school sale where many phones are free, and even better, adding an extra line is FREE till 2012. Not an extra $5/mo., free. Quite a few decent phones are available, too. Very cool, thought I'd give you guys a heads up. I might even get a phone just to for a back-up.

After jacking up my vibrant... I needed to flash back to "out of the box" status. After hunting around a bit I came across this and SUCCESSFULLY flashed my phone back.

Great news, someone confirmed that web2go unlimited data works with the new Galaxy S Vibrant T-mobile Android phone. Grandfathered T-Zones Data: Discuss All Related Questions Here ONLY Before this, only our Behold 2 allowed this (nexus one does too, but not considered tmo branded). For many, this was only reason we stuck with behold 2.
